Stargazer Chalet is Perfect! This incredible home is super clean, well organized, nicely furnished, and beautifully decorated. It has everything you’ll need for a comfy and relaxing get-away. Very spacious and easily accommodated our large family, allowing us tons of room to comfortably gather for dinner every night at the huge family style table or outside on the big furnished patio. The kitchen is fantastic, well stocked, and gave us plenty of room to cook those big meals. There is an awesome gas grill on the patio for steak night. The views are spectacular and there is plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors, either in the hot tub or sitting around the firepit. There’s a killer air hockey table and a great dart board in the garage. There’s plenty of parking space available. We easily parked 2 trucks and 2 cars. Basil is a great host. Friendly, responsive, and respectful. Couldn’t ask for better. We absolutely can’t wait to stay in this location again very soon.

Great place for a family to hang out and have fun. House is beautiful and really well stocked with everything we needed. Lots of amenities. 30 min to downtown Durango. A great base from which to explore the San Juans and Four Corners area. Kitchen was easy to cook in. We loved stargazing on the deck and the sauna to relax. Beautiful location in Colorado Ranch country. Hosts take really good care of this place.

Great place, great environment and helpful host!

This was a beautiful place to gather our Family (and 3 dogs) for our annual vacation. The home is warm, spacious, well appointed and eclectic in design, very welcoming. Especially loved the front deck morning and night. My adult kids & Grands loved the jacuzzi. Games on the patio in the evening were well lit. So private & peaceful. We hiked around the neighborhood lake & enjoyed Vallecito Reservoir. Figure a little drive to Durango. But the activities warrant the short drive. Further to Silverton, Purgatory & Ouray but all well worth it. Definitely give this 5 Stars!

Rachel’s house was amazing! From the scenic views to the peaceful solitude this house was wonderful and in a very central location in Durango. It felt like at most everything was 20 minutes away. Rachel was an extremely responsive host who took the time to answer our questions and react to any concerns we encountered in a prompt and professional manner. I would happily stay here again. I would highly recommend this bnb to anyone who wants the outdoor experience in a comfortable and accommodating environment. The view from the front deck in a late evening hot tub soak was unbeatable, you can see every star in the sky and we were lucky enough to see some shooting stars as well!

Our stay was phenomenal. You are tucked away off the main road; very secluded. The views off the porch are breathtaking. Hanging out on the porch when the sun goes down is the perfect place to relax after a long day of adventure. The house had everything needed. Mike is awesome. Will definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

This property was fantastic! Inside house was clean! Kitchen is beautiful and full of amenities. The couches were comfy upstairs and down stairs. Easy access using the tv’s. Beds are comfy. The outside living area is PERFECT! The Jacuzzi OMG, perfect temperature and very clean. Hot water in showers nice and hot. The laundry was nice and clean washer and dryer. We will definitely be back!!!

This was a great place to stay near Vallecito Reservoir with tons of natural beauty and privacy. We enjoyed the views from the back deck (just like the pictures if not better) and the use the hot tub and green egg grill. Our little hatchback made it up the gravel road just fine in June, but you may need 4-wheel drive when it's icy or muddy. It is a rural mountainous location, so be prepared and plan for lots of bugs. My girlfriend had a black spider crawl on her on the couch and in the bed! Still, this was a beautiful cabin and a fantastic place to stay on our vacation.

This was a great place to stay for our work retreat! The surroundings were great and we all loved that it was out and away from the city. The hosts were on the ball with communicating - very proactive - and if it was not Chandra communicating Scott would reply really fast. The two living areas made it nice to have a spot to plan games and leave space for those who wanted to chill. The surroundings were so relaxing that we spent most of our time on that deck and lower patio having our work conversations and recording educational videos. Deer were around every day and two of the chubbiest chipmunks I have ever seen were always around checking us out. I finally gave one a bit of a chip the morning of check-out and it was really trying to hang out afer that! Sure glad no one fed it earlier, we would have had a pet with us the whole time with that friendly critter.

As soon as we walked in we felt right at home. Dave's house is a cozy cabin nestled among the trees with great views, comfort, and serenity. The beds are comfortable with plenty of blankets & pillows, bathrooms are clean, well stocked with towels. We made several meals in the kitchen. There are plenty of utensils, dishes, pots/pans, etc. Drip and keurig coffee machines (with pods provided). Plenty of seasonings, some tea, honey, syrup etc were available. Dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent are also provided. Lots of games & movies to enjoy. A grill & gas fire table with propane are nice touches. We enjoyed the hot tub in the early mornings & in the evenings( hot tub towels provided).The canoe and paddle boat were added bonuses.We hiked Engineer mountain,drove million dollar highway to Ouray where we went horse back riding and shopped. Also easy drive to Durango. Grab pizza at the Schoolhouse. You cannot go wrong with Dave's place. Highly recommend. We would definitely book again

You wanna get away from people but not lost. This is a great place for that. Nothing better than waking up every morning to the river running past the wood deck with gorgeous views of the mountain. The hot tub also makes the stay very nice.

Really lovely secluded cabin that is really well appointed. 3 very comfortable bedrooms, a sofa bed in the living area and a well kitted out kitchen. Fantastic deck and hottub looking out over woodlands. Really comfortable, welcoming and elegant. Highly recommended.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Bear's Den. It is everything we usually look for in a place to stay. Beautiful location. CLEAN. Well maintained. And allowed our pups to stay with us. It was a little small for the 6 of us....but overall worked out well. The back deck was my favorite and we enjoyed eating and relaxing on the deck. The nearby lake was really fun to take a rental boat and explore. We also visited Mesa Verde and took the grandchildren on the Durango Silverton train. We would highly recommend Bear's Den. This property was exactly what we were hoping for and more. Beautiful, remote and quiet log cabin located high on hill with great views. It is decorated with wonderful Native American art throughout…such a peaceful feeling. Hot tub, several large decks and BBQ area were amazing. Kitchen area was well equipped and made dining in enjoyable. Plenty of room inside and outside for privacy with group of 6 adults. Deer all over property and night sky was awesome..no light pollution. Lori and Rob are first class hosts and responded immediately with any questions. Very flexible and caring people.
