It’s a great place to stay when coming to visit, especially if you have a big group since there’s lots of room.

By far the best stay during our trip to Japan. The accommodation was fun, well stoked, and well kept. We tried to spend as much time as possible in this stay, spinning the vinyl and relaxing. Only regret was we didn’t have more time. Highly recommend to all.

Haruka's apartment is situated very near Saiin-Station (5min walk) and its restaurants in a quite street. There is a supermarket 4min walk in the other direction. It is big with 2 bedrooms, a great bathroom, a washing-machine and everything you can need to cook in the tiny kitchen as well as spices, oil, tea, coffee... There are also brochures about Kyoto's attractions and a very interesting book about Japan's history. The best part of our stay at Haruka's House was to meet the owners (they live upstairs), who welcomed us as we arrived with many informations, japanese tea, fruits an sweats. As we left, the had looked for the train-connexions to our next destination and gave us nice advices as well as crackers for the trip. It was so nice, we felt at home from the first minute and we enjoyed so much their company. We even had the chance to borrow their bicycles to tour around Kyoto. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We definitely hope to come back!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cottage. The house was very clean and spacious. For us, the best part was the location. It truly felt like we were locals living in the community where Cozy Cottage is located. All of the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time, and the stay definitely made our time in Kyoto extra special. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a bit of a slower pace in Kyoto.

We had a great stay here! The space was clean and beautiful— simple and elegant. We loved it. Was a bit far from kyoto’s main areas— but just used uber. Loved the space!

Pro - Its a very good place. The kitchen cutlery is complete. The scenery is amazing. Clean and wifi is good. Definitely come again! Cons - bathroom only 1. So takes a lot of time. The view is great but the location is far from town. Need to travel 40mins just to reach town. So waste time there.

The host was very nice and helpful. The location is a little far from the main Kyoto Station (~35min bus ride). However the area is a residential area so it is very peaceful and nice way to experience living in Japan for a few days.

Clear instructions. Little hiccups but it was quickly resolved by the host. Place was as per pictures. Location was quite easy to find. Quiet neighbourhood.

The only, and ONLY somewhat critical thing I have to say about this place is that it can be a tiny bit difficult to find. However. due to the host’s helpful instructions, we were able to find the place relatively quickly. Beware in the summer, as the walk from Tambabashi station to the house can be brutal in 34 degree heat. But the place itself is gorgeous- very clean, cozy, and homey. The upstairs tea room/area will let you live you your Japanese tea fantasies for sure. And the antique decorations, as well as the wall of Japanese liquor bottles in the backyard area, definitely add a unique historical charm as well. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to groups of 2-4 people, the price is amazing for what you get. Thank you to the host again, I had an amazing time in Fushimi ward!

My friends and I spent several wonderful days at this traditional house in Kyoto. The accommodation fully matched the description and exceeded our expectations. The house is designed in a classic Japanese style — very clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. What stood out the most was the atmosphere — staying in such a place allowed us to truly experience the culture and spirit of Kyoto. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant, yet conveniently located with easy access to public transportation and major attractions. The host was extremely attentive and always ready to assist, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We are sincerely grateful for the hospitality and would be happy to return on our next visit to Kyoto.

We had a pleasant stay, feeling the sincerity of the owner, Tadahiko, and his wife everywhere. I was given a valuable opportunity to stay in a mansion that has been carefully preserved for generations, so I wanted to make the most of it. There are many retro parts because it is an old house.Recommended for those who want to enjoy the old-fashioned things in Japan! I wanted to cook, so I brought some rice and cooked it in the rice cooker.It was very helpful that they prepared salad oil and soy sauce.They also provided a range, toaster, kettle, and more. There is a Super Lucky next door, and it's easy to get ingredients. It was about a 5-minute walk from Kano City Station, and it had good access to Hirakata, Kyobashi, Umeda, Uji, and Kyoto City. Thanks to the old house, I was able to reunite with many important people. I missed the cherry blossom season, but the wisteria trellis at Uji Heiken was very beautiful in late April. We'd love to stay again next time. I think it would be nice to have a washing machine at that time. Thank you so much for the opportunity to make memories.

LJ Inn was perfect - much more spacious than most Japanese Airbnbs. We really enjoyed the privacy of having our own building. The place itself is very clean, has updated and good appliances - we really liked the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. Yasushi is a very responsive, friendly and kind host. Would highly recommend!

Great host with quick responses! Asked them if they have infant chairs, and they actually ordered one online for me and got it delivered the next day! Walking distance to family mart, supermarket, and restaurant. Thanks for having us

The stay at 京都駅前町家 嘉右衛門 was extremely homely. The host communicated clearly the instructions to locate it and we were 5-7min walking over from Kyoto Station with 4 luggage. The host was very welcoming, clearing introducing us to all the amenities around the house from the lounge to the bedroom to the washer-dryer. In our two nights stay at 京都駅前町家 嘉右衛門, we were able to experience living in a heritage machiya yet enjoyed the convenience of modernity furnishings. We will return to 京都駅前町家 嘉右衛門 if we come through Kyoto again, and recommend it to all our friends.

One of the best experience in Kyoto. I stayed at Lan’s place for two nights, it was quite and comfortable, there are several coin parking lots nearby so it is very easy to park. Lan was very kind to us, he even brought some drink and he was always willing to help. Anyways, I strongly recommend this place to everyone who’s willing to travel and stay at Kyoto.

The detached house has good privacy, quiet, and convenient surrounding facilities. The subway is about 5-6 minutes away, and there is a 24-hour convenience store.Especially the Host was very friendly and welcoming!Will introduce Kyoto and recommend attractions, and also help with pick-up and drop-off ~ The house is very comfortable. If I come to Kyoto next time, I will stay here!

The place was really clean and comfortable, perfect to spend time with family and everything was within walkable distance, the station and restaurants were so close and staying here made you feel like a local

K/H did an amazing job as a host and making me feel welcome during my stay in Kyoto. Their clear directions made the stay seamless. Noise around the bnb was not as bad as expected ( rail line by the apartment), and it didn’t impact my sleep at all! Thanks again!

I can’t say enough great things about Uzu’s place. It was so clean and comfortable. When we checked in she was very thorough about the house and also about the surrounding areas and places to go. She had a great hand drawn map of the area that we actually used a lot! The traditional beds we chose to sleep in were very comfortable. Everything in the house is labeled which makes it very easy to find things. Uzu went out of her way to show us local restaurants and spots to try. She is a very friendly host that cares about making her guests stays very enjoyable! One thing we found was that it was a bit out of the way of central Kyoto. However, if you want to experience a quiet traditional neighborhood this is the spot! It’s about a 10 min walk to the closest train station or bus stop. The place is as described in a quiet neighborhood, good for walking around to appreciate the beautiful flowers in front of some houses. There are grocery stores within ~20 mins walk downhill to a main street of the area. It was very helpful to have a pick up and drop off to the subway station services by the owner.
