For this special bathroom renovation, we used herringbone-patterned woven tiles crafted with the exquisite, centuries-old Gifu Prefecture tile-making technique. These tiles create a dynamic three-dimensional effect as light and shadow play upon them. Mino ware ceramics have a history spanning nearly 1,300 years, and the tile industry has been producing these highly intricate tiles for over a century. We also carefully upgraded the Dyson hair dryer, added a Dyson bladeless fan, a kettle from a Japanese design brand, a brand-new Daikin heating and cooling air conditioner in the living room, and the best shower head in Japan! The flooring is sourced from Asahi Woodworks, a century-old Japanese company, and is of the highest quality, costing three times more than products made in China.
