Staying at the Gion house was an absolute treat. It was the best airbnbs we have stayed in. Curtis and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They gave excellent recommendations and were very responsive to any questions we had. The atmosphere was beautiful and we appreciated the attention to detail of the historic home. We would highly recommend staying here and we would definitely return!

Comfortabel appartment met een super dakterras (wel twee etages hoger). Alle dagen op het terras ontbeten. Prachtig overzicht over de stad. Sumi was zeer informatief en heeft ons zelfs naar het station gebracht. Aanrader om te doen: fietsen huren bij Cycle Garden (zit om de hoek) en langs de rivieren fietsen.

Great clean and modern place to stay within walking distance to the shopping center. Geisha town in Gion is also nearby, not to mention the station to Osaka. The best part is the responsive host who went the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you very much for everything you do. We strongly recommend you to stay here when visiting Kyoto.

This my 2nd stay with Base in Kyoto. The place is conviniently Located near a grocery store and the train station In Hanazono. Will stay here again when I'm in Kyoto.

The accomodation was quite peaceful exactly what we were looking for. Nice surroundings, you will definitely feel like you're getting to stay like a localite. The host Micky was very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed our stay.

Très bon logement pour visiter Kyoto ! De plus, il y a beaucoup de bus à proximité pour se rendre aux différents monuments de la ville ainsi qu’au centre-ville. Le rapport qualité-prix est vraiment excellent et le gérant Masanobu est très sympathique.

We had overall great experience at Matatabi's place. The location is great --about 2 minute walks to the subway station, and it's surrended by convenient store, various restaurants. On top of that it's walking distance to the imperial garden of Kyoto! The room is clean, decent and quiet. It's the place where I would like to live if I ever go to Kyoto again.

宇治駅から徒歩圏内で、川沿いの静かで落ち着いた場所にあり、到着した瞬間からとても癒されました😌 インテリアもセンスがよく、友人とのんびり過ごすには本当に理想的な空間でした！ チェックイン前に偶然オーナーさんとお会いし、近くで見かけた虫（“トビケラ”というらしいです）についてお話を伺ったのですが、春や秋の一時期だけ発生する自然豊かな地域ならではのものだそうです。 私たちが泊まった時期はまったく気になることもなく、室内はとても清潔で快適でした。虫が苦手な友人も安心して過ごせていました👌 やりとりも丁寧で返信が早く、ホスピタリティの高さを感じました。 また季節を変えて、ぜひ再訪したいと思える素敵なお宿です！

Appartement très calme tout en étant central et proche des arrêts de bus . Propre et bien équipé. Bonne communication avec le propriétaire ! Nous recommandons pour qui veut visiter Kyoto tout en étant au calme!

On arrivait à Kyoto sans planification d'activités et l'hôte nous a recommandé d'aller voir un événement qui se tenait durant notre visite. Belle attention!

I had a great stay! The apartment was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The host was super friendly and easy to communicate with, always quick to respond and very helpful. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

May was terrific. If you want to live like a local in a high-end apartment, this place is it. Beautifully decorated. No shoes. Proper heated bathtub. 4 floor walkup. Not a place for big suitcases as staircase is very narrow by USA standards but spacious in the rooms with large closets. The tatami bedroom is lovely. But for those who want a western bed, the 2 small singles with very firm mattresses are an alternative.

The apartment was very well located, with easy access to public transport, shops, and restaurants. It was a convenient space for two people — quiet and had everything we needed for our stay in Kyoto. We recommend it for a short stay in the city!

We (me and my boyfriend) really liked the place. It was very clean and had everything in it what we need. It has a balcony too which was nice. It is also located in a quiet residential area and is close to all the stations. We recommend this place to everyone who plans to go to Kyoto.

Un excellent séjour dans ce Airbnb ! L’appartement est très bien décoré, propre, et vraiment agréable à vivre. La propriétaire a toujours été disponible et réactive pour répondre à mes questions et besoins, ce qui m’a beaucoup rassuré. Le quartier est top : supérette juste à côté, de très bons restaurants dans les environs, et la station de train à 5 minutes à pied. Mention spéciale pour la dame de l’accueil, vraiment attachante et toujours prête à aider. Je recommande vivement ce logement !

Walkable from kyoto station. Well worth the price for two person. Room is not spacious but adequate for two luggages spread open. Bed is big enough for two people. Room comes with a table and two chairs. Good toilet with shampoo, conditioner and soap, and has excellent water pressure. Toilet only issue is the space from the seat to the door. Towels and face towels were provided. Has a basic kitchen and fridge provided, fridge was so cold that my coke has iced form in it. Aircon is not good, 23 degrees but does not feel cold at all.

The place was exact as described. It was quite spacious and we felt right at home. Considering we had a small baby, we didn’t have any issue during the stay. The check-in and checkout process was straightforward. The neighbourhood was quiet and had good commute options. Highly recommend this place.

Excelente alojamiento! Muy espacioso, nuevo y cuidado. Fuimos con nuestros 3 hijos adolescentes y tuvimos espacio de sobra. La ubicación es muy buena para visitar Gion y los templos de alrededor pero hay que tener en cuenta que queda algo alejado (20 min en bus) de la estación de Kioto lo que hace que visitar otros lugares turísticos lleve más tiempo. Con todo esto estuvimos muy a gusto en el alojamiento y lo recomendamos.

The place very convenient for tourists. Everything is there . Accessible to tourist spots ( walking ,train stations, buses). Will surely get back to this place .

This was such a wonderful stay! I completely recommend it to others. The space oozes charm and was thoughtfully designed. Yoko & Mayumi are delightful, communicative hosts.

Great location with an izakaya at just 2 minutes walking, several convenience stores and an easy access to the subway.

I really liked the place. It’s relatively close to everything and the host provided my stay with everything I needed. I plan to book this same place when I go back to Kyoto.

My plane was late so I couldn’t get to Japan in time to stay. I paid but didn’t stay there. It was too late to cancel.
