We were super happy with the stay. The cabin is located overlooking the piste as well as a view from the terrace to Gaustatoppen. We recommend Mathias' cabin due to the location, also a lovely spacious cabin. Mathiass is very friendly and service-minded and great at helping with recommendations regarding the area.

The cottage is all with all the comforts and very comfortable. The hosts, Hans and Annelene are very hospitable and we got tips for places to visit in the area. We'd love to come back to discover more of this beautiful area.

Great place to relax, in winter and summer. We would love to come here in summer.:)

With big family and active kids, this was the perfect place. Beautiful view of Gaustatoppen from the bedroom. It was quick to get up to the slopes by car. Lene was friendly and very helpful as soon as questions were asked. Highly recommend this home.

Amazing place and amazing stay! the property is in a very good location and extremely comfortable. We are traveling with our 1 year old and living room / kitchen space was amazing to allow him to crawl around. The house is beautiful and traditional Norwegian, spotless clean and very warm. We arrived during a snowstorm and the owner kindly set up the wood burning Stowe for us! Amenities/ shops and electric car charging points are only about 10 minutes drive, which was very convenient for us. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Lovely cottage with a large lovely hot tub. Perfect for large group of friends or multiple families. Also located very nicely with a good distance to the next cabin.

We had a great trip to Knut Erling's cabin and the view of Gaustatoppen was amazing. We would gladly came back!

The 'hytte' is fantastic, very comfortable with a beautiful kitchen. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking. There are many little streams gurgling by, one about five feet from the porch. We had a fire pit and watched the blue slowly drain from the sky. There are three bed rooms so you can bring a large crew. We recommend it highly!

What a fantastic place. Our family of ten had lots of sleeping options. I was hesitant at first, but staying at Bente’s place was a comfortable and unique experience that our family will remember forever. Bente is very sweet and flexible. We came late at night and she was there to greet us. There is so much pure positive energy here. You can feel it all around you. The views are also spectacular and we even got to pick blueberries and raspberries. :-)

Perfect for two families with children, we enjoyed ourselves there :) Plenty of room for everyone. Lucky with the weather so we were a lot outside in the nice garden!

We had an amazing stay at Anders’ apartment. It was a brand new apartment and everything works perfect. Very swift response from Anders whenever we had any question. Really recommend his apartment and we’ll definitely come back 😊.

This cabin is just wonderful and our 2 families had an excellent stay. You can walk/ ski to the piste easily and there’s a great space for learners just there. Everything you need including a really good drying room/ store & sauna is there & the kitchen is well equipped and there’s games etc too. There is parking for 2 cars. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms lovely- we would all like to come back one day. Gausta is a small resort good for all types of skiing but also has a lovely hotel with great floating sauna/ bar. We drove to the telemark husky company at rauland ski area and stopped at a great cafe with huge snow play area on the way- would definitely recommend as a day out! Eric’s place was great- and he was super helpful

A gem that has to be experienced. Real seaters charm with lots of details that created a lovely atm, good old-fashioned cabin feel. Perfect location right by the ski slopes. Here we felt at home from the time we came in the door. The panel stove was turned on inside the bedroom so it was warm and warm when we arrived on a cold afternoon. Good with firewood in the stall and we got eventually heat in the living room. The kitchen contains everything you need and in the stall was also a new gas grill we used. The covered terrace located west facing was just perfect this sunny weekend. Øystein and Hanne were quick to respond. Here we will come back:)

Very nice, cozy and spacious cabin. The cabin is located right on the slalom slope, and with a few meters to the cross-country skiing trail. Nice and quick communication with the host!

We really loved our stay in Heidi’s cottage! It was even more beautiful in person as you have a whole place with one main cottage and 2 small cabins/sheds. We even got visited by several sheep’s and cows, which made it even better! If you love a very simple and slow lifestyle by getting your own water from the river, no WiFi, heating the place up with your own wood and having an amazing view - this is your call! 10/10 would recommend (we didn’t want to leave)!

The setting is absolutely beautiful and Anne is so kind and helpful. It's a very special and unique experience. Unfortunately I did not realize (at my own fault) there was not a bathroom in the room which was challenging and not something I'd want to do for long. This is listed in the description so it should not have been a surprise, but I was in a rush to book and missed it. It's not ideal for young children because the stairs are so steep and the porch is really high. Other than that, my children loved being there and especially the sheep.

Fantastic treehouse! Comfortable for 6 adults due to the cabin's functional design. Good facilities for cooking. Idyllic surroundings with views of a trickling stream, chirping birds and jumping squirrels. Magnus was very friendly and resolved in our misunderstandings about the cabin's water supplies, responded quickly and was service minded. Good location with proximity to Dalen for historical hike and lunch/dinner at the hotel, as well as Lårdal sauna and swimming in the lake. Unique experience recommended!
