Located on the southern slope of Mt. Myoho, one of the peaks in the World Heritage Kumano-Nachi mountain range, this is a mountain hut-style private accommodation with a 180-degree panoramic view of the mountains and the Kumano Sea spreading out below.　 The accommodation building has a traditional Japanese sunken kotatsu fireplace and a wood stove, so you can experience rural life, warm yourself by the wood stove, and be soothed by the flickering flames through the glass. Vegetables, blueberries, and fruit trees are grown on nearby farms, and you can experience picking them. We also raise chickens, so you can enjoy a slightly different morning egg rice with freshly laid eggs. You can also enjoy nature and refresh your mind and body in the midst of the seasonal scenery. Nanki Shirahama Inn (one group only)

The entire house is rented to only one group at a time (the price will be added depending on the number of people). It can accommodate up to 8 people in a 16-tatami mat (2 rooms with 8 tatami mats each) living room and bedroom and a 6-tatami mat bedroom. Fully equipped with a bath, toilet, washing machine, kitchen, and fridge. Face and bath towels are included. Free WiFi. The room is on the second floor, and it is difficult for the neighbors to hear sound, so it is a perfect house for families with small children or those who want to spend time quietly. The area around the house is quiet with little traffic and few pedestrians.

YAKIOHOUSE, a rental house along the side road of the Kumano Kodo

In spring, you can wake up with the sound of birds, and in summer, you can play in the beautiful river in the town. In the fall, you can walk the ancient roads and hike, and in the winter, you can go to the many hot springs in town! Pick-up and drop-off within the check-in time is also available in Hongu-cho.

"Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)
