Thank you so much Mei He!Communicated with me before check-in and recommended restaurants! We were a little late to check in, she knew I wouldn't speak Japanese and used a translator to communicate with me, took us to a great hot spring to watch the sunset, the hot spring was very clean and comfortable!!After the hot spring, he drove us to a nearby Osaka yakiniku shop (Grandma's Osaka yakiniku was delicious!!I've been gone for three or four days and I still can't forget it). Mihari's cat is cute and follows her everywhere!Meiwa showed me a lot of pictures of cats! Very happy! When we learned that we were going to climb the mountain in Kii-Katsuura the next day, we were given a lot of advice ~ I'm glad to tell Meiwa that we completed the entire mountain climbing journey!(Please see the last picture hahahaha (We originally planned to leave at 9:00, Meiwa told me that it would be late to return to Osaka, we followed her advice and adjusted to 7:00!I'll be back in Osaka by 7pm!Thank you very much~ Unfortunately, Yamato in Kii-Katsuura was not open that day, I really wanted to try the tuna that was highly recommended by Miwa! It was a very good experience!Thank you, Meihe!I'll stay here again if I come back next time!

Sasumi Town next to Shirahama, River Floor Sauna, 5 Wooden Warmth Log House

Lovely cabin in the woods in the south west of wakayama. My partner and I stayed here for a week with my parents when they came to visit. The area is beautiful, we especially loved the outside areas like the river access (swimming!) and the barbecue area / fire pit outside the cabin. There is a town nearby with a shop and several restaurants in other towns within 30 minutes drive. Needless to say you wouldn’t want to come here without a car. Only negatives are that there isn’t much privacy inside the cabin (the upstairs area is separated by a net so everything can be heard from there etc), and the kitchen wasn’t very well equipped. There were 2 massive pans, some serving tools, glasses and several plates, but no cups / mugs to make hot drinks with which was not ideal. We received a discount because we stayed for a whole week, but if I had stayed for less time I would’ve considered it very expensive for what it is, location aside. All in all a great place and friendly hosts! :)

This is a wonderfully renovated traditional Japanese cabin. Best bagels and bread!! Super community and school. Thank you to the kind host Midori and her colleague at the school who showed us around and who bakes the delicious bread. Support them by staying here.
