Amazing break away. Peaceful setting, stunning views. A great place to switch off and relax. Nick was a great host from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend the breakfast box.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was really beautifully decorated with great attention to detail—it felt cozy and inviting from the moment we arrived. The hot tub was a lovely touch and made the experience even more relaxing. The host was very responsive and made sure everything we needed was available. We stayed here as a part of my partners birthday celebrations. This was our first time staying somewhere like this and the lodge was everything we could have wished for and more!! The check-in process was clear and easy. The lodge was well decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to have a great, relaxing weekend. The location was perfect, so beautiful and peaceful. The hot tub was an obvious stand out for us, very warm and relaxing. Overall our stay was perfect and we could not fault our lodge and are already discussing coming back later in the year! We have also recommended to our families who are also interested.

Louise’s lodge is absolutely beautiful and in a very peaceful location. The rooms were absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. The hot tub is a lovely addition and the fact that it is in the back garden for privacy made it even better. The location of the accommodation is fantastic, around a 30 minute drive to York city centre and also has great bus links to both York and the nearby town of Pocklington. Thank you Louise, we will definitely come back to your lovely lodge!

Vanessa was super friendly and helpful right from my very first message. I had lots of questions and nothing seemed too much trouble for her. The accommodation was lovely, really homely and there was nothing she hadn’t thought of, from kitchen items to things for children to do, and the most gorgeous welcome basket. I would highly recommend staying here and couldn’t have asked for a nicer host. Thank you so much for everything. ☺️ we would love to come back again!

we had a fantastic stay at the lodge. A great location for visiting all of Yorkshire and a lovely setting on the lake. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evening and all round had a wonderful stay. Ruth was a great host!

The place is a lot bigger than on the photos. The secluded garden was brilliant for my dog and the big field opposite was an added bonus to walk him. It is very peaceful and I would definitely book it again. Gabby was very quick in replying, when we got lost and needed fire-lighters for the log burner.

Shar is a lovely lady, friendly and generous. It was an absolute pleasure to stay in her beautiful home and lovely garden. My dogs loved running around the garden and settled into their surroundings really quickly. Would’ve liked to have stayed longer. Thankyou Shar for sharing your home with us.

Don’t know where to start….stunning location, stayed Saturday to Wednesday, weekdays were so so quiet and peaceful, perfect for some much needed R&R. Caravan was exactly as described, light and airy, spotlessly clean, comfortable lounge area, well equipped kitchen, shower was easy to use and more powerful than most other places I’ve stayed, my husband and myself and 2 friends enjoyed every minute and will most definitely be returning in the near future. Kate was very helpful from start to finish and always asked if everything was ok? Everything was more than ok, highly recommend this accommodation, thank you Kate, so much, for a lovely stay

We booked a few days away to relax and chill. That is exactly what we got. On arrival the lodge was pristine. It had everything that was listed. Beautiful scenery including wildlife. Very peacful. Hot tub was lovely, very clean and nice view when youre in there. 10 minute drive to beautiful walks and lovely local pubs. Mark & Wendy were on hand if you needed anything. Lovely people. Would highly recommend 👌

My family and I spent a wonderful 4 night here. It was clean to look at but there were a few minor issues with cleanliness but nothing I couldn't clean up myself and it really didn't effect our getaway. All in all it was a beautiful lodge, the hot tub was lovely with a lovely view of the lake and the fountains looked even more beautiful at night lit up. There are no fish in the lake which the lodge is overlooking but there is a carp pond/lake probably 2 mins walk from the lodge and my husband and children loved it there and had some good fish out of it.

Absolutely stunning lodge, very well thought out and beautifully presented. It's called Squirrel Lodge for a reason. and it was wonderful to see so much wildlife and Nina left out seeds and nuts for us to put out for them. relaxing hot tub which was very much needed and was well hidden from the neighbours. very relaxing stay in lovely accommodation, will definitely book again if we're up in York.

Such a comfortable, cosy and quirky place. So much attention to detail and beautifully decorated. We loved all the thoughtful extras you left for us too. 😋 Humberston Fitties is idyllic for us, the nature (foxes 🧡), beautiful deserted beach and vibe of the place is what we love. Just strolling around looking at the interesting chalets and lodges and nature is great as an activity in itself. We also like the open top bus that is conveniently less than a minutes walk through the pathway that takes you straight into Clerthorpes. We could honestly have stayed forever.

recently back from a 5 night stay had everything we needed in the lodge and in a perfect location within easy access of everything we wanted to visit..will definitely be recommending to family and friends....5* accommodation

Beautiful little lodge, so so homely and peaceful!! Loved the wood fired hot tub and then coming in to light the log burner! Lovely little area with lovely walks nearby and not far to the beaches etc!! Would highly recommend

Have to say this is one of the cleanest, most comfortable chalets I've stayed in. The location is lovely and peaceful, a perfect place to relax and unwind. I would definitely consider coming back here.

Place was amazing, in a nice quiet area and quiet park. The lodge was spacious and well looked after. Restaurant just at the end of the park, and other close by. The lodge also had parking right outside the door so it was easy for us to bring our bags in. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
