Thank you, thank you for this amazing stay! I am so glad we stumbled upon this recommendation because it truly made our Mammoth Cave vacation spectacular. My kids are going to be talking about feeding baby cows for a long time. We LOVED being able to look out at the cows right when we woke up and right before bed and Jorge was so kind, knowledge, and friendly. My kids loved learning from him. The apartment was very clean. It was totally worth the longer drive to the caves to have such a wonderful home base. Thank you for the cheese samples and for opening the cheese shop for us!

Confirming Debbies rental is like booking a stay with Martha Stewart! Her home is on a sprawling farm with a gorgeous creek you can almost touch from the back deck. It's the perfect place to enjoy your coffee and watch nature unfold. Debbie is the epitome of Southern Hospitality. She hasn't overlooked a thing & if she has, just ask. She'll make it good. The water pressure upstairs in the en suite bathroom is something I'd pay an upcharge for at home! This house just made me smile on the inside. It's a little step back in time that puts you to peace right away. Her internet was solid. My husband had a little work to do upon check in and had no problems. We were also able to stream a movie without issues. ***Note, there are no tv's upstairs in the bedrooms which isn't a problem for me but might be to some. I believe she offers her 4 seasons room for tv viewing . Worth noting, this rental was also the most affordable in the area. We give her 10 stars and will book again!

This was the perfect location for a peaceful getaway, but close enough to easily enjoy the things Louisville has to offer! I visited with 2 dogs and the barn was the perfect size for us- complete with a beautiful porch and a fenced yard. Anne was very responsive and accommodating as my plans changed. I would highly recommend this location, and would stay again if passing through Louisville.

The home was wonderful! It was fully stocked with everything we needed to come together as a large family to attend a family wedding. It was as reported, a rustic country setting with enough room for everyone.

We had an amazing stay at Mattingly Farm! Being close to the cows and visiting during a few calf births made our visit unforgettable. The warm welcome from the couple who told us about the farm and Kenny’s Cheese Shop, along with the friendly farmhand and his daughter, added to the charm. The milk and cheese samples were a nice touch! The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen and bath supplies met our needs. While the WiFi was a bit spotty and we didn’t have AT&T service, it gave us a chance to unplug. Faster and more reliable WiFi would be a helpful improvement for those who need to stay connected. Since it’s a working farm, there were occasional equipment noises, but it added to the authentic experience and didn't bother us at all. A small suggestion: more comfortable seating and sturdier kitchen furniture would make the space even better for relaxing or working. Overall, our stay was delightful, and we highly recommend Mattingly Farm for a unique, welcoming, and memorable getaway!

What a peaceful spot! Surrounded by lush greenery with the perfect fenced area for our dogs. It is off the beaten path so be sure to bring your food and supplies. It was a perfect home away from home while our house was being readied after being affected by river flooding. The surroundings were just what we needed during a very stressful time. So appreciative of the fabulous hosts taking us on short notice ❤️

Stayed here with a group of five and we had a great time! The house is super spacious inside, with even more room to enjoy outdoors. We might have had a little too much fun—one of us might have ended in the hospital (but hey, it’s not a party if that doesn’t happen, right?). Robert was a great host—very responsive and kind throughout our stay. Overall it was a great experience, and I’d definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Kentucky!

We wanted to try something different, so staying above a horse barn covered that for sure! Beautiful farm, very well maintained. The Loft had all the amenities you could need. The barn cats greeted us every morning on our way out for the day. It was great to see the horses grazing in the pastures. This is truly a quiet, serene place to stay. We drove to the surrounding areas for shopping, golf and dining. The roads are very hilly, but navigating around the area was easy. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is a great place to stay!

Great place to get away for some peace and quiet. Spacious enough for what I needed. Very well stocked! We will be back. The barn section is big enough to throw cornhole boards inside if weather is not cooperating.

If we could give it 10 stars, we would. Clint and Amanda’s place is outstanding, and their hospitality is incredible. We are recommending their place to all our friends and family who find themselves in the Shelbyville/Louisville/Frankfort area. It is beautiful, and has outstanding touches to make you feel right at home. The surrounding Kentucky countryside and farmland is about as peaceful as it gets, while still super convenient to modern amenities. The hosts themselves took great care of us, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived (and before with pre-check in coordination). The space was spotless, and had first class sundries. Really an amazing find, and can’t wait to visit again. Thanks Clint and Amanda for an amazing stay.

We had a family gathering with 30 people. Rented the house plus three cabins and used the house for the large group gathering space. The space was perfect with large great room, spacious kitchen and amazing entertainment area downstairs. Beautiful setting with great views and ample privacy. The house is an upstairs build above a barn that has been converted to entertainment space, so beware the house portion is NOT handicap accessible, but that was not a requirement for our visit. Would highly recommend if for any size family or group that does not require handicap accessibility. Matt was extremely helpful, responsive and flexible with our group.

Our stay was perfect. The beds were clean. The water was hot. No worries there are only concern was that it is pet friendly and there is a shelf full of glass. China by the front door made me paranoid from the wagging tales that’s on me though.

We stayed at The Farmhouse during a trip for a baseball tournament. We chose it for it's wheelchair accessibility and it did not disappoint! The ramp outside and the extra large doorways were a huge help for my Dad while he was maneuvering in & out of the home. The location was private, peaceful, and beautiful. The house was spacious, had comfortable beds and furniture, a fully stocked kitchen, and clean bathrooms. Our only note is that the upstairs bedroom was hot!!! We found a window air unit in a closet and put it in. It would have been nice if that had been done prior to our arrival. The hosts we're quick to answer questions we had and helped us anyway they could. Wonderful place to stay!

it is an awesome place. beautiful and quiet. made you feel like you are the only ones around for hundreds of miles. the creek was great. our dog would agree. if I could change anything, it would have an escalator back up the hill from the creek. lol

It is such a beautiful property! Incredible Appalachian scenery, and so much interesting history around the inspiring Mary Breckenridge story. I would recommend The Cottage for anyone interested in experiencing the Kentucky mountains. This is not my first stay at The Cottage. I've hosted up to 6 adults, and it felt (as we would say in SE KY) plenty big! I can always count on a clean, comfortable, memorable experience at The Cottage. And Davida is THE BEST!

Our group had a fantastic weekend. The setting was so peaceful and relaxing. Although we wish the weather had been better, we were still able to enjoy that beautiful pool. We spent almost the entire weekend outside at the pool or on the covered back porch. No one wanted to leave. This was my first time to this area and I was very impressed. Thanks for making our “cousin weekend” a huge success.

My band Exit 57 went for a “Music Retreat” weekend and came out with new songs, great memories and great team building. Everything was perfect for a jam session weekend.

Quiet, Calm and peaceful. Just what we needed. 10 minute drive to great kayaking areas, relaxing, quiet sleeping,. great times by the firepit with friends

Since air bnb became a thing I’ve only stayed in Airbnbs and this one was by far THEE ABSOLUTE BEST! The deisgn was so well thought out and the interior was beautiful ! Very very very clean and perfect for us 5! Was even more impressed with Ms Phyllis’s personality and hospitality! She’s like the cool auntie! I highly highly highly recommend !

This barndo was so nice! It was very clean and decorated so nicely. The king bed was comfortable and the shower felt wonderful. Many small details that really makes this space special! It is located between Lebanon and Campbellsville making it a short drive to either. Very convenient for us, we will be back!

Your place was absolutely amazing. The perfect old country home. The beds were super comfortable the kitchen has everything you need. The fire pit is an awesome perk to the property. I asked about going fishing and they were able to give me fantastic directions and we were able to catch some fish. I will definitely stay again when we come next year. Thank you so much for your hospitality and all your help during our trip.

This place is in pristine condition!! The living quarters were squeaky clean and we felt right at home. The pictures truly don’t do it justice! Don’t pass this one up!

A perfect place for myself and some friends to spend a weekend after bike rides and a little bourbon. Amazing firepit, porches, grill, beautiful night under the stars… Just a lovely place.
