Had a great time here with friends. Lovely cottage with everything you need.

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

Jennifer’s home was beautiful, clean,extremely well equipped and had absolutely everything we needed for a lovely peaceful break away. Especially appreciated having little extras like the comfortable deck furniture, fleece blankets, salt pepper soap cloths etc. would definitely recommend and definitely would book again.

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

I'd stay at Jackie's place again whenever I next visit no question. Good price, and the place is exactly as she's described. And whenever I messaged her she always responded back to me within 30mins at most which is excellent

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

great location and Whitbarrow village has so much to do with it's gym, crazy golf, theater, quiet pool, hot tub, sauna and bar. can't complain great value

We did a lot of different activities in the Lake district but the house was the highlight of our trip, we’d have been happy just to spend the whole time in the house. The house has been designed to get the most out of the views and the decor is amazing too, it is really clean and feels brand new. I’d say it is definitely worth paying a bit more to stay here over anywhere else in the local area, and we will be returning at some point in the future, we miss the house already. Also Team Laik and the owners are all fantastic, communicate well and make everything easy, so if you haven’t used Airbnb before I’d go with these, you can use the messaging system on the app and get a response almost straight away should you have any questions.

A wonderfully scenic and private location, and a property which was equipped to a high standard.

A great base for exploring the Dales and the Eastern Lake District. I did 2 wonderful sunny spring hillwalks from the doorstep and a further 3 within 40 mins by car. The cottage is exceedingly comfortable and a great blend of traditional decor and modern facilities, with highlights being the super comfortable bed, excellent new shower room and small but very well equipped kitchen. Thanks to Alexandra for the prompt response and short-notice booking, helpful instructions and extremely tasty cake, tea and coffee provided on arrival!

Spacious house walkable to the town centre - perfect location!

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cute, little house in Mount Street to anyone. It was just perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. It’s not obvious from the photos how nicely furnished this house is so we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The living area is bright and welcoming and the bi-fold doors out to the pretty terrace are great too. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside with a book, it felt very relaxing and nice and secluded. The entire house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had everything you would need and more. We were only here for a couple of days so didn’t see much of Kendal but what we did see we liked. There are lots of open grassy areas where we walked our dog before venturing further to the lakes. We also found some nice farm shops nearby. The house is well situated for anyone wanting to explore the area in the south of the lakes or if you want to head further north, like we did, Buttermere is around an hour and a half away Highly recommend!

Me and my partner had a lovely few day at Cockin farm. Although there’s often things going on we never felt in the way and their neighbour was very kind, he once moved a whole herd of sheep so we could drive through! 😂 Emily herself was very kind and allowed us to leave whenever we were ready which helped us pack and have a last peaceful morning. I’d highly recommend coming here to anyone looking for the perfect place in the Lake District as the beauty was hard to put in words. It was both an adventure but I also felt at home. She also had left us some lovely homemade cookies, milk from the farm, and honey from their own bees! 😁

Wonderful weekend and Appleby 24 was the perfect base for us. We loved the property, very comfortable with everything that you could beed provided. Sonal was a great host and provided excellent recommendations for places to eat and nice walks. Would definitely recommend and we would absolutely stay here again next time we visit the Lake District.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful short break in Kendal, staying in a house that exceeded all our expectations. The property was incredibly large and spacious, providing ample room for everyone to relax and unwind. It was also well-furnished, with comfortable and stylish decor that made us feel right at home. The location was ideal, situated close to some lovely pubs, including the charming Romney. We loved being able to stroll to the local shops and the town centre, which made exploring Kendal so convenient. Whether we were looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a drink or a place to pick up some local goods, everything was just a short walk away. Overall, our stay in Kendal was fantastic, and we highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient base to explore this beautiful area.

We had a really lovely time. Beautiful accommodation and very comfortable. Great hosts. Perfect base to explore the Lakes. Lots to do within walking distance. Would 100% recommend to anybody. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Hopefully we’ll be back one day.

Lovely house in fab location. We were 2 families staying together. There were plenty of bedrooms and a great communal area to relax when we got back from walks.

The host was lovely, offering to help with anything we needed. A really lovely 2 bedroom house with a good size kitchen that had everything that you’d have at home, nice and clean too. A few lovely touches with biscuits and wine on our arrival. Considering the house is so close to the shops and restaurants it was nice and quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would definitely book it again.

Claire is always responsive each time I messaged her. She went the extra mile to ensure that we were able to book our stay at her place. Having elderly parents, i needed a place where my parents would be most comfortable after a 17hr journey. Claire’s place really felt like home away from home. Thank you Claire!

A beautiful little retreat, in a perfect location to go and explore the local attractions. White Scar Cave and the waterfall trail are both well worth a visit. Only a short drive to the Lake District too. Carly is an amazing host who goes above and beyond with all the extra little touches, she has thought of everything to make your stay so easy and comfortable. The Lodge is spotlessly clean and smells amazing. we will definitely be returning.
