Luxury cottage - river views, balcony and hot tub

EmilyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Lakeside Barn w/ fantastic views & Hot-Tub

KarenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Cottage & Pool House Yorkshire Dales Littondale

ClaireRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We have just returned from a few nights away staying at this little piece of paradise. If you’re after a tranquil, relaxing holiday then this is the place to stay. From the house itself, to the spectacular views , the amazing pool house and the lovely, friendly neighbours, this place ticks all the boxes and more. Highly recommend visiting The Queens Arms for a meal (or just a cheeky drink), the staff are so friendly and just made our time away extra special. Malham is only a 20 min (ish) drive away and is stunning (a must see). The only thing I would advise is to make sure you take plenty of supplies (or do an online shop for delivery as we did) as the local shop is a 20min drive away. Thankyou again David, we will definitely be back.

Great Kettle Barn - Dog friendly cottage for 2.

We have had a fantastic stay at Sue’s place. The cottage was so homely and spacious. Great Asby itself is such a quiet and peaceful location and is perfectly situated to get out to the lakes, via car, or the dales for a good walk. The local pub was superb for food and drinks and all locals were super friendly. Sue and Fitz were such friendly and attentive hosts who also left some lovely and much appreciated treats in the cottage for us to enjoy on our arrival. We would love to come back. Thanks again for a brilliant stay. 😊🤩

Perfect stay at Claire’s place. Can’t fault it at all. Beautiful stream out the back to watch go by on the patio and the George and Dragon pub in the village was a very friendly place with excellent food. Absolutely loved the place and the area, will definitely be back that’s for sure. Last but not least a mention to Claire for checking everything was ok and letting us know any problems just let her know, which thankfully nothing to was as a great stay had by all four of us.

Hideaway Cottage, Staveley

BeckyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely stay here! The cottage felt bigger than the photos made it look, but was also really cosy. The village was a lovely base for exploring Windermere, and public transport was really easy to get when we didn't want to drive. Parking was easy to find and Morven gave us clear guidance beforehand on where was OK to park. The bed was huge and really comfortable, and the shower was great. It's a really well thought out cottage and has everything you need for a nice break.

Hollys Hideaway, Cosy Cottage Staveley, The lakes

RichardRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had a great stay at Holly's Hideaway, in Staveley. Nicky was friendly, attentive and responsive without being at all intrusive. The cottage was ideal for our needs, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well kitted out and the lounge and dining area spacious. The added touch of a pack of local biscuits was much appreciated and it was good to have some grocery basics provided for guests to use. The well stocked local Spar in the village covered all our essential shopping needs and the bustling local pub offered good food and excellent beer....but does not serve food on Monday or Tuesday evenings. The area is very beautiful and Staveley is a great base for the southern lakes, and much less busy and crowded than the better known Lake District locations barely five miles away. Parking in the hight of the summer might be a challenge but we had no problems with a motorbike. I would happily return to Holly's Hideaway in future.

Hideaway Cottage in the heart of Windermere

AmberRating, 5 stars6 days ago
As a family of 4, Peter & Claire's townhome worked well for us. The place is charming. There are two full bathrooms, both upstairs and convenient to the bedrooms. We enjoyed coffee on the patio and cooked dinner at home one evening. The kitchen was well stocked and accommodated everything we needed. The area is very walkable. They were extremely responsive and friendly with all communications. I would certainly stay again.

Anya’s house was very comfortable and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The instructions provided were easy to follow. Each room had heating which was needed as one night was quite cold. It was great to have a washing machine. The location was within driving to restaurants and pubs and there was plenty of pamphlets of things to do and see in the area. The tiny snug was very cute and cosy. Highly recommended
