The more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time travel to a 19th century village in the far north of Finland. The property is best suited for a friend of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who is not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

The log cabin has beds for two. Electricity + heating. Well-equipped kitchen. No running water. The hosts provide drinking water for the kitchen. Fireplace. Welcome to Piilopirtti, an atmospheric log cabin in the Arctic Circle, on the shore of Lake Kemijärvi, 7 km from Suomutunturi. The cottage is located on a large lot and offers sweeping views of the lake and dangerous landscapes. From the village you can take the castle to a stunning sandy beach. Ski trails on Suomutunturi. But you can go skiing on the lake from the yard. For the fisherman, Kemijärvi offers abundant catches. The berries are waiting for pickers right around the corner from the house.

Charming cottage with all the amenities on a large plot. The distance to the center of Rovaniemi is only about 25 km. The distance to Santa Claus Village or the airport is also about 25 km. No public transport. The roads are well maintained even in winter. The cottage is easy to get to. If you wish, transportation can be arranged by Mercedes Benz Vito car for an additional fee. Korouoma hiking trails and winter ice falls are only 5 kilometers away - the perfect destination for hikers, ice climbers and nature lovers all year round.

Glamping in Aurora Igloo

Experience our unique Aurora igloo. Clamping near the city centre but still next to the forest. See and feel the frost around you but enjoy the warmness of the real fire and down blanket. Enjoy Lapland! We have only one igloo in our garden and it is one of a kind! You may also use the garden around for winter fun activities. We have sledges and shuffles for your use. There is no jacuzzi/hot tub or sauna available in this accommodation I am afraid.

Holiday Home Lumimarja

Welcome to the middle of nature to enjoy the cozy atmosphere of a log cabin. This holiday home, built in 2013, is located only about a 30-minute drive from the center of Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village. The cabin has two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a fireplace, and a wood-fired sauna where you can experience the Finnish sauna culture. There is also a private lean-to (laavu) on the premises.

We have renovated the cottage in summer and fall 2019&2022 for your better use. Here you can feel the Finnish cottage culture and enjoy the peace of nature and silence.
