Welcome to Piilopirtti, an atmospheric log cabin on the Arctic Circle, on the shores of Lake Kemijärvi, just 7 km from Suomutunturi. The cottage is located on a large plot of land and has spacious views of the lake and the surrounding landscape. From the village you can take the ferry to a beautiful sandy beach. The starting point of the ski trails is 2 km away, but you can go straight from the yard to the lake ice to ski. For fishermen, Lake Kemijärvi offers abundant catches. Cloudberries, blueberries and lingonberries are waiting for pickers right at the corner of the cabin.

We offer accommodation on the shore of beautiful Lake Kemijärvi in connection with our cottage. The price of the accommodation includes the use of the sleeping area, a separate kitchen cabin, a sauna, and an outdoor toilet. The cottage is located 12 km from the center of Kemijärvi. The log cabin has beds for two. Electricity + heating. Well-equipped kitchen. No running water. The hosts provide drinking water for the kitchen. Fireplace. Bathing in the sauna; the use shifts are agreed upon with the hosts. The hosts use other buildings. Hot tub surcharge €80

Experience the peace and quiet of Lapland's nature and the midnight sun in a unique glass-walled experience cabin on the shore of a wilderness lake. Accommodation for 3, up to 5 beds for those sleeping in their own sleeping bags. The kitchenette has a hot plate, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster and dishes (glasses, mugs, plates, coffee presses, cutlery, etc.). There are showers in the adjacent beach sauna. Composting wood toilet. The sauna is wood-heated. If necessary, we will guide you in heating the sauna. Available in summer and early autumn.

Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the old and idyllic school in its spacious upstairs apartment (k, oh, 2mh, sauna/toilet/shower, 2 hallways). The beautiful surroundings offer wonderful outdoor opportunities - the ski trail to the nearby hills starts from the yard, the adjacent lake allows ice fishing, in the summer you can hike and pick berries in the nearby hills, a rowing boat is waiting on the school beach. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The apartment and courtyard are well suited for families with children.

Cabin is ideal for guests who are looking for peace and quiet and distance from the hustle and bustle of the city and the light pollution, but are within driving distance of many of the places to visit. Cabin is located about 45min drive from Rovaniemi. The cabin gives guests a peek into local lifestyle and offers authentic cabin experience

Charming cottage with all the amenities on a large plot. The distance to the center of Rovaniemi is only about 25 km. The distance to Santa Claus Village or the airport is also about 25 km. No public transport. The roads are well maintained even in winter. The cottage is easy to get to. If you wish, transportation can be arranged by Mercedes Benz Vito car for an additional fee. This unique and peaceful retreat makes it easy to relax in the midst of pure nature. The cottage is located in a small village in the middle of the Lapland wilderness. Here you can do skiing, snowshoeing, and fishing. In addition, we organize snowmobile tours as desired. The cottage is about 75km to the city of Rovaniemi. Ice fishing tour 40€ person, 1-2h. Cottage in a great location on the shore of Lake Simojärvi. Suitable for groups of two to three people. Good fishing, hunting and berry areas nearby. Quiet location. Sauna in the same building. Clean compost toilet. Solar electricity, you can charge your phone and computer. Gas stove. The door and windows have been renewed on the side of the cottage and additional thermal insulation has been installed on the inside. You can also stay in winter.

We have renovated the cottage in summer and fall 2019&2022 for your better use. Here you can feel the Finnish cottage culture and enjoy the peace of nature and silence.
