Uncle Buck's Fish Camp- on water with dock

This cute and cozy home is located right off the Steinhatchee River on a deep water canal and has a dock for your boat. With 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms upstairs a large open floor plan and screened in front porch. Downstairs under the house is ice machine, outdoor dining table , gas grill and screened in room for cleaning your fresh catch. This home has all the perks of being right at home and will truly be a spot you want to return to year after year. Come stay awhile with us!!

The newly remodeled Cypress Crab Cottage is a quaint little cottage with 1 bed and 1 bath, tile floors, ceiling fans, & vaulted ceiling. A full kitchen with gas stove is now installed. A queen size bed, closet, full bath, & a leather sleeper (queen) couch round out the inside. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, pedestal sink & elongated toilet. Outside is a grill with a side burner. A large, screened porch with picnic table, outdoor seating, lights & fan. Private circular drive.

"High On The River"

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway located along the upper Steinhatchee River. Located down a dead end road in the woods. Across the river is Conservation Land so you will hear lots of birds, crickets, owls, and frogs. If your lucky you may even spot deer, wild boar, bobcats, otter, gators or manatee. This is a natural "Old Florida " environment complete with critters and bugs. Bug spray is recommended when outdoors in the warmer months.

Plenty of land for boats and vehicles. Use the cleaning station for all your hunting and fishing trips. A fire pit to enjoy the night air. Completely remodeled house and dock.

The location was great! I was a tad disappointed because the photos of the dock had not been updated since the remodel but it worked out for us anyways. We were able to catch plenty of fish from it and keep our boat in sight. We saw a manatee and shark one evening. The porch was wonderful to watch all the boat traffic in the river. Most folks were super friendly and would wave as they passed. The inside of the house was spotless. The open floor plan is very nice. You can watch the river while in the kitchen or sitting at the table eating or watching television. The beds were very comfortable. The showers provided plenty of hot water for a family of four which is a big deal for us. :) The location is good. Everything is just a short drive away with several nice restaurants and bait stores close by. When we return, we will be staying again at this location.

This was a last minute booking as I was traveling through the area. I had the thought that if I could find something that looked peaceful & quiet then I’d go ahead and stay a couple days… Boy! This wonderful cottage did not disappoint at all!!! I ended up booking a couple more days :) Very private, very peaceful, & very beautiful!!! I won’t go on too much about this place since it very much matches the description in the listing but I will point out a couple quick highlights that are of some importance… 1) There is a local service station right up the street with a grill on site which does a fantastic job for lunch & breakfast and the general store has just about anything you’d need to tie you over if you’ve forgotten anything… 2) The wifi at this property is great! This is a huge plus considering where it’s located!!! I highly recommend this beautiful & peaceful little cottage near the water and I will definitely be back again in the near future!!! Thanks Katherine!

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was spotless and very convenient if you are bringing your own boat! Plenty of parking for big boat trailers or multiple cars. The kitchen was very well stocked with nice utensils and bakeware. Beds were comfy! Enjoyed sunsets on the deck.

We had a great stay overall! The cabin we were given was different from the one we originally booked online, but it had the same general vibe—and honestly, we ended up preferring it. Having two separate bedrooms instead of a bedroom and loft gave us more privacy and comfort. The cabin was super clean, well-stocked with all the amenities we needed, and the beds were very comfy. The only downside was the lack of a view—cabins are packed in pretty tightly, so our main view was just another cabin. The staff was friendly and helpful, and once the campground is fully finished, I think it’s going to be a fantastic spot. We also ate at the on-site restaurant, which is currently serviced by a food truck. The menu was limited, but the beer was cold and the vibe was relaxed! Would definitely consider staying again once the area is rebuilt and thriving again.
