From the apartment you walk in a few minutes to the beach (max 450 m).

The shops and restaurants are also within walking distance. ESA/Estec is less than 15 minutes by bike or 30 minutes on foot. The BIO Science Park-West is a 10-minute bus ride away. Katwijk has excellent connections to Leiden, Amsterdam, The Hague, etc.
