A wonderful stay for both kids and adults! I visited with my 4-year-old, who absolutely loved every moment of it. Dirk and Maike run a childcare program during the week, and it’s clear they’ve created a true paradise for children on their property. The large grounds include chickens, playrooms, countless toys, and everything a child could wish for. The home is bright and cozy. Dirk and Maike are incredibly kind, open-minded, and thoughtful hosts. Their warm, welcoming nature made our stay even more special. I’ll definitely be returning with my son the next time we’re in Krefeld. Thank you so much, Maike & Dirk! :)

Our far too short time in Vera's small loft was rainy but still incredibly relaxing. We felt right at home thanks to Vera's warm manner. The place is super clean and decorated with visible creativity, love and craftsmanship in every corner. It is really very cozy and, due to the many upcycling and the beautiful location, extraordinary and close to nature. Despite the rain, we sat for a long time in the covered outdoor area and watched the cats and ducks and listened to the pouring rain. The Baldeneysee is within walking distance through the beautiful forest and restaurants and supermarkets are also nearby. I almost NEVER leave a written review of my stays at AirBnB places...but this trip was exceptional and worth a few words. It was one of the very best vacations my wife and I have had in years, and much of that was due to not just the apartment but the outstanding communication and information we received from Jochen and Jakob. Friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Found a couple of wonderful places to visit, hidden gem restaurants on their recommendation, and tips for inter-city transport. We highly recommend this listing - can't wait to visit again!

We used the apartment for a short trip and were completely satisfied. The place was just as described: modern, clean and very well maintained. The excellent public transport connection was particularly convenient – you can get everywhere quickly, even to Düsseldorf. The check-in was straightforward and flexible. The host was very friendly, responded quickly and explained everything well – you feel right at home. Clear recommendation!

It was just beautiful! We lacked nothing, and we ended up living there for three months! Once we didn't have any baking paper, I asked if they could help us. What could you and the next day we had a whole pack lying in front of the door. Really attentive. This and many other friendly gestures really made this stay a second home. It is also super child-friendly. What can I say, if we didn't live in the neighborhood, we would definitely come back 😉

Beautiful house with breathtaking views over Lake Baldeney. The house has everything you need for a good time in Essen, everything very high quality and even personal, which you can't find in every typical Airbnb. Throughout the house you can enjoy music in the best quality, for example through Spotify. Also, the house has a fully equipped modern kitchen with everything you need and even several fully automatic coffee machines. You can grill in the garden with a weaver or relax in your own house which has a heated hot tub and sauna. The hosts Clemens and Mr. Siegler are very friendly, extremely hospitable and are always easily accessible. No matter what I asked, everything was always done to make you feel comfortable. My stay was just perfect! The place was exactly as described – clean, cozy and equipped with everything you might need. The location was great, and check-in went smoothly. The host was very friendly and helpful. I felt completely comfortable and would love to come back. Absolutely recommended!

It was a great stay. I'm sure I'll be booking with Svenja often. The house was decorated great for Christmas and communication with Svenja was really excellent! I can only give an absolute recommendation. If you want to go to Moers, the bus stop is within walking distance, as is the center of Schwafheim with various shopping opportunities. And especially important for me, the AWO Seniorenzentrum is also only 4-5 minutes by walk.

A wonderful stay! The place was very clean, stylishly furnished and has everything you need. The area is very quiet and everything is within walking distance and quick to reach (shopping, train, etc.). Communication with Barbara was warm, accommodating and she was always available. If we are near Düsseldorf again, we will definitely stay here again :)

It was a wonderful stay! We really fell in love with this house. It is very cosy and nice, we had everything we needed to relax in the pesceful surrounding of nature. The host was very kind and fast in reponding, ready to help with all requsts. We did't want to leave.

I had a very relaxing stay in Willi and Sofia's beautiful apartment. The apartment has everything you need, was very clean and nicely decorated. The balcony is also nice and practical. Communication with them was very good. We'd love to come back!

Bella’s place is a bit of a gem. A large two bed flat, with great living space. Location is quiet and peaceful and we were able to walk into the city. Plenty of public transport too. Communication was great.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful apartment. The fenced garden was ideal for our dogs, who also enjoyed the walks by the nearby water. Everything was tip top clean and nicely decorated - you noticed that someone made an effort. The surroundings are amazing and you can quickly reach all the interesting places in the Ruhr area. An absolute recommendation!
