You can also enjoy a relaxing stay in Kagawa, such as visiting a bonsai nursery, Kokubun-ji Temple, the 80th stop on the Shikoku Pilgrimage, and walking the Shikoku Pilgrimage Route. 　You can also enjoy dining and BBQ at the English garden in the flower season. 　It is the perfect base for a stay where you can fully enjoy a day trip sightseeing in Setouchi, where you can reach Kotohira, a major tourist destination in Kagawa, within 40 minutes by rental car, Chichugahama, within an hour, and Tokushima Soya, Okayama, Kurashiki, etc., within an hour and a half. Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

Tourists in the most walkable neighborhoods of Hirano ward will find a car isn't necessary to get around.

Sanson Terrace "off-grid tiny cottage"

In Ohinata, Sakuho-town, Nagano-pref. We built a small cottage at a mountain side of the natural woodland which separated for a while from the colony. The time flows graceful here, while the interval of farm labor or works in the mountain. It is a special time to have Coffee or Beer while looking at Mt. Morai on the other side. You can spend time, being surrounded by nature... reading books slowly, taking a walk the mountain, listening songs of birds while lie on a hammock in the forest.
