In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Enjoy Takayama's history to the fullest in an excellent location. <Building and Hida master carpenters> Built 145 years ago by a master craftsman from Hida, this building has been revived here by modern craftsmen. It is a traditional inn that initially opened as an inbound accommodation facility. We are renovating the semi-open-air bath inside the storehouse and the water area. ■ Healing moss garden ■ There are three moss gardens: front garden, middle garden, and back garden, where well water flows everywhere, and a small stream flows between hand basins, bamboo screens, Japanese irises, and stepping stones, and in the pond, there are koi, medaka, tanago, and crayfish, and wild birds visit this biotope space. ■ Chick-in lounge (cafe/bar space), souvenir corner ■ You can drink authentic cocktails on the first floor of the main building.
