Apartment vacation rentals in Japan

The place was fantastic. The apartment was spacious, elegant, and had all the comforts of home. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was laid out well. The location was also fantastic: very convenient for accessing multiple train stations and only a few minutes from great areas to explore in Osaka.

We had a fantastic time at the Lucky House. I felt right at home and stayed for a week in beautiful Nakano. The area is great and definitely recommended- a perfect compromise between local, vibrant and walkable - with Nakano station very close-by! The apartment is tastefully furnished and leaves enough room for a couple - although little. I was even able to distribute my stuff well in the apartment and hide my suitcase in the closet, so I made the most out of this intimate space. Syuka was a fantastic host - she even speaks Chinese fluently and made sure we are happy and peacefully share the house with the other guests in the house, who we never heard or saw. Next time I’m in Tokyo, I would definitely consider staying in wonderful Nakano again.

Hiroyuki San was the best host we’ve had so far. Responsive , super helpful and proactive about everything He provided everything for us before we even ask. The apartment was equipped with all the amenities listed and more. He was always for responsive and ready to help with any of our needs It’s nowhere near the “center” of Tokyo so keep that in mind. If you want a stay near Yokohama though it’s the best you can find. Thank you Hiroyuki San for having us

had an amazing stay at kasha's! the apartment was spacious and clean, with all the necessary amenities we required. kasha was also helpful when we asked her for assistance regarding a delivery package. overall, great experience!!! will return again ☺️

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in diesem schönen Apartment. Es liegt sehr zentral, ist groß und mit allem nötigen ausgestattet (inkl. Waschmaschine). Die Gastgeber sind überaus freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das Apartment befindet sich allerdings auf der 4.Etage ohne Aufzug. Für uns war das kein Problem aber man sollte es beachten. Falls wir nochmal in Kyoto sind, kommen wir gerne wieder!

This was an amazing Airbnb experience! Ryu is such a fantastic host: she answered all questions super fast and gave many great recommendations for the area. She personally met us with tea to welcome us and show us around the apartment. The flat was super clean and tidy, has very comfortable beds and the washing machine as well as AC was greatly appreciated during humid rain season. The location is very central and just off the Kokusai dori. This makes it the perfect location to explore this fun area with heaps of great restaurants, shops and karaoke bar up and down the road. We stayed on Thursday and Friday night and didn’t have any issues with noise. However, there are earplugs and ear muffs provided for people with a lighter sleep. Ryu is one of the kindest, loveliest hosts we ever met and we would come back any time!

A fantastic location, walking distance to all the attractions, dining, and entertainment that the Namba area of Osaka has to offer. While being close to the center of everything, it is still private enough to be quiet at night for a peaceful night's rest. The host was responsive to all of our needs. One thing to note is that the unit is two stories, with a steep spiral staircase as the only means of access to the master bedroom. So, you may need to consider if it is suitable for seniors and/or children in your group.

for a 1st time solo traveler, my experience at Funabori was beyond great. I would go out in the morning and come back at night without any concerns. Masa was also extremely helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We got room 502 for most of our nights in Tokyo and it felt like home. The room is bigger than Tokyo’s usual room sizes. All basic necessities included with iron and washing machine/dryer in room so very convenient. Train stations about 10min walk from the accommodation, bus stop and nearest 711 is about a minute away. Room is very clean and host is very accommodating/responsive. Will come back to this place in Tokyo ❤️

This Airbnb was excellent! The location couldn’t be better—super close to Temma Station, making it easy to commute to Kyoto, Nara and Kobe. For those self-catering, there are plenty of supermarkets nearby, and Temma Station is just a short walk away from Donki and Tamade offering cheap snacks and food. The place itself was very comfortable—great bath, toilet, and shower, plus a handy washer and dryer. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a relief in the summer heat. Highly recommended for a convenient and comfortable stay in Osaka! The neighbourhood itself is very local, close to Tenjinbashi shopping street - much better than downtown Dotonbori.

Such a great find! The flat is stunning and looks exactly as described, spacious and very nicely designed and decorated. The area is also very vibrant, loads of restaurant and the host kindly provide a long list of places to go

Très bon séjour passé dans ce logement, qui était conforme à la description, spacieux et bien entretenu, proche d’une station de train (5 min) et d’une station de métro (10 min). Parfait pour se déplacer à Osaka. Je recommande !

Clean, quiet, and very well appointed home. It was obvious the host took great care to try and think of every detail to make this a comfortable stay. He was exceptionally responsive and also helped me with some of my trip plans when I asked. It was greatly appreciated! It is not close to the center of the city, which wasn’t always convenient but I would not have wanted to stay in the heart of bustling Shibuya, so it really comes down to preference.

Vovo and her team are so friendly and nice. As you can see, it is a small apartment but very clean and neat. All essential items are also in the room. There are many great things about this place. For one, it is very close to the train station, which runs two main train lines to go almost anywhere in Tokyo. I also enjoyed friendly staff who were very helpful with my laundry, trash, etc. There are many eateries near her place. There is also a large shopping mall across the train station (about a 5-minute walk), where there is a super market and discount shops. So you don't have to go far to shop for what you need. I will definitely come back to stay there.

다음에 또 묵고싶어요! 친구랑 둘 다 캐리어를 펼치고도 남을만큼 넓었어요! 오래된 느낌이라는 다른 후기들이 있었는데 저는 이 또한 오히려 앤틱한 매력이었고 청결도가 좋아서 전혀 문제되지 않았습니다! 도쿄 처음이었는데 덕분에 잘 즐기고 갑니다~

We enjoyed our stay in Kyoto. It was in a great location and we were able to get to everything fairly easily. The space was small, and there is not space for oversized luggage. We carefully laid them on the bathroom floor near the windows and that still gave us enough space to move about. The rest of the flooring is tatami mats so you need to be very carefulnot to roll luggage on it. You also have to walk up a narrow stepped staircase for 3 floors to make it to the room so please keep that in mind. It had beautiful traditional japanese touches that made it stand out. The open air bath was a lovely feature and I especially enjoyed that. It also has a door for privacy. My husband and I did notice that it is not possible to fill the bathtub while the shower was on, so I would suggest filling the bathtub before you shower. Keep these things in mind when you are deciding if it's right for you. Overall, it was lovely and the japanese beds helped our bodies recover from each day of walking.

Absolutely loved this Air BnB. The shower itself makes it worth the stay. All the shopping and touristy things are a short walk down the road and there are plenty of convenience stores / restaurants around.
