Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Ierapetra

We had the best time staying at the apartment. We were two adults and a child and it was perfect for us. Everything was exactly as in the pictures and the apartment is even bigger than I expected. Especially the beautiful patio. The small kitchen is well stocked and we had everything we needed. One can hear the road, so just bring your earplugs if you think it may bother you. There are mosquitoes nets and shades/curtains on all the windows which allowed us to keep them open at nights and sleep longer in the mornings. Other than the apartment itself, Pinelopi is the best host I have ever met on Airbnb. She took care of everything we needed, even before we asked. We felt right at home with her and we're very sad when it was time to go. We will always be happy to come and stay here again!

Great place to stay which I highly recommend. We felt at home. We had the beach to ourselves, so to speak. Eftychia was always easily accessible, mega helpful and accommodating. As a welcome gift, she provided us with fresh vegetables, fruits and wine. Everything was perfect.

As a couple staying here, we can recommend for a quiet and relaxing stay. Everything is as advertised: simple but clean. The terrace offers privacy and is surrounded by olive trees. Restaurants are on walking distance, as is the beach (20 min) if you can cope with the steep hill. As almost everywhere in Crete, a car comes in handy for any other trips.

There were two of us on site for a total of five nights. The accommodation is fantastic and is located directly in a beautiful bay with a beautiful beach. For two people, the accommodation is completely sufficient and well-equipped. On the beach, there is a restaurant with delicious Greek food at fair prices. The bay is great for snorkeling and swimming, as the sea is very calm most of the time. If you want to experience more than spending the day by the sea, you are definitely dependent on a car, which is normal for Crete. Christina as a host was very warm, courteous and helpful. If you had any questions, they were answered immediately via text message. I can only recommend the place and Christina as a host to everyone.

We felt very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the patio. The apartment is practically furnished - for a simple breakfast and meal you will find everything you need. The hosts were very friendly, even provided a few small things and fruit. They also sent us a nice message with excursion tips. We immediately fell in love with Diaskari Beach - a not so crowded (at least in early June) beach, about 10 minutes' drive away with a nice tavern and hammocks on the beach.

We had a great week in this beautiful house. Everything is very cozy and clean. There is a large terrace in the back with a lemon and olive tree and a small terrace in the front. The house has a lot of charm and is highly recommended. The area is definitely one of the most beautiful and original in Crete. The beaches in particular are amazing. We had a wonderful holiday at Mapia’s cosy house. It was lovely to stay in such a well equipped home without the need to go out and buy essentials. The bedding and towels were of very high quality and the kitchen, though small, was very well equipped. We have stayed in many Greek holiday homes and this was by far the best!

Casa Riza was a five star home away from home. The house itself is beautifully situated in the mountains, with the most glorious views through huge (clean) glass picture windows ensuring you make the most of the crystal blue seas and cloudless skies every day. We found it to be the most stylish home with immaculately maintained amenities, flowers on the coffee table (changed halfway through our stay!) - and it was all exceptionally clean and welcoming. Decoratively it was mix of old and new, making it homely and perfectly functional for a family of four. The pool was cold - but that didn’t stop the kids using it several times a day. Our hosts were amazing - we had tonnes of helpful, local recommendations and a food shop done for us with everything we needed, plus treats like Easter eggs for the kids and local jams and honeys - all laid out when we arrived. If you’re planning a trip to Crete I highly recommend staying here, a visit to Milonas gorge and Tersa beach also 5 star! ♥️

We had an incredibly beautiful time in Tertsa, it's perfect if you are looking for a quiet place to relax. The beautiful beach is right across the street from the house and all the residents are very friendly, you quickly feel at home and are greeted by everyone. Poppy welcomed us very warmly, she cooked a lot of delicious food for us, which awaited us upon our arrival. She is always quick to reach and very helpful and warm, the most amazing hostess you could imagine! The garden and terrace is also beautiful and you are close to nature!

Lovely stay with a responsive but discreet host. Being early in the season we enjoyed low crowds and peaceful, uncrowded beach and waterfront. The room was immaculate and Lisa was very helpful. A very enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

A nice clean studio, quiet and in a good location. Mike provided us with all the necessary information and was very responsive to our requests. The beach located a stone's throw away is very pleasant!! Good stay

This place is the best place to stay, quite and private, outdoor patio for enjoy cafe or beer but close to great public beach with free parking or waking 20 minutes, same time remote spot to go anywhere and not staying in crazy busy city where is night live and traffic like crazy. 9 minutes to Agios Nikolas if you like that , 1.5 h to Vai beach where Palm trees like in tropical place, 30 minutes to Iropetra and Myrtos on African side on island, beautiful. 30 minutes to 4000 years olive tree and waterfall canyon.

Lovely little apartment on two floors. The bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of linens, towels, and spare blankets and pillows. The kitchen is well equipped, although in a very narrow space. I loved the private beach. A steep descent, which was easily accessible. I can only recommend the accommodation

We stayed at the apartment with our 2 children. The location is great, there are 2 minimarkets right next to it, an ATM, a doctor and in 5 minutes you can walk to the beach. There are also many good restaurants nearby. The landlords took great care of us and were always available. The small garden where the children can play away from the street in the shade is also great.

We booked Michails place for the second time and will probably come back again. Our toddler daughter loved to run through the spacious apartment. The kids bed is great as well. One more thing: Michail replaced the broken washing machine with a new one after realizing that we planned on using it which was extremely helpful. Obviously the views are amazing and the location is great if you want to discover the beaches in the area. Also Ferma beach, which is just a 2 min walk away is very cozy and great for little children.

We’ve spent 6 days in Aspasia’s lovely house and it was pretty much what we’ve been looking for: a quiet location with an amazing sea view. The apartment is very well equipped and sparkling clean. It is very large, compared to most other accommodations in this price range in Greece. The huge terrace has a great view and that’s where we’ve spent our mornings and evenings. The air conditioning unit works well and it was much needed. The wind has been blowing so hard most of the nights, that it was impossible to keep the windows open and hope to cool down the place that way. There was only one thing I did not like and that was the beds. They really are quite hard and far from my idea of a comfy bed. This wasn’t a surprise, as I knew from the pictures the beds are twins, but the combination between the really hard mattress and the twin beds makes the bedroom quite an unwelcoming space for a couple. We’ve ended up sleeping on the couch. I’d book again, if there was a comfy bed option.

Wow! We went to a bachelorette party 4 girls and it was simply amazing! George was long before the trip spoke to me on whatsapp and was available for all my questions. Booked us a taxi from the airport that arrived just on time and everything was very clear through whatsapp. Also at the entrance to the property, George received us, took luggage ( until check-in) and kept them in a secure room. The property is stunning and just right,cozy, clean, quiet neighborhood and right next to all the fun - exactly five minutes walking distance. Buy us some nibbles that were waiting for us in the room, was always available for questions and recommendations for us and even made me really good and took me a ride to the massage he had booked for me in advance in the area. Really was just perfect. I really recommend to anyone who wants to clear their minds and get reliable and professional service above and beyond.

I can not recommend this place enough!!! One of the best places I have ever stayed in . Just a stunning view. We had our Airbnb cleaned twice which was so nice. Mary was amazing. We definitely will be back again. Thank you so much again

I had the best time at George’s Apartment. The view is incredible, the little balcony very refreshing and the rooms absolutely convenient. I have loved the Meze Restaurant around the corner which is called The Hope and had the best time there.

This is such a great place to stay in AN. Eleftheria met us on arrival and made us feel like family. Their property is pristine and with great lounge, kitchen and dining overlooking the marina. In 5 mins walk you are wherever you want to get to in the local area. There is a sheltered beach within walking distance. A gorgeous town and well appointed place to stay. Absolutely recommend

We had an amazing time. Manolis is very helpful and friendly. He gave us some great recommendations of beaches to go to and restaurants. The apartment is in a great location. It has everything you need and is really nicely decorated and very clean. If we end up in Agios Nikolaos again we will definitely stay there again

We spent almost a week in this lovely apartment with our 2 year old and it was just perfect! The apartment contains few things but has everything you might need - it’s beautiful and cosy. Alexandra’s dad welcomed us and our daughter became a real fan of him (just like us, he was very friendly). We loved the proximity to the beach (so beautiful! And perfect for small children) and the nice taverns and cafes, while still being secluded. During two nights we heard some louder music (from a bar, maybe) but after closing the window that was also not a problem at all . Thank you, Alexandra, we really enjoyed our stay and could have easily stayed longer!

*A fantastic stay with breathtaking sea views of Crete* My stay in an Airbnb in Crete was simply fantastic! The accommodation offered a spectacular sea view, which made every morning a special experience. The apartment was modern and extremely clean, which immediately ensured well-being. I was particularly impressed by the helpfulness of the owner. At my request, the towels were promptly renewed, and when an unexpected sandstorm arose, he immediately took care of cleaning the accommodation. The location was ideal, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The beaches were breathtaking, and I enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear water. The Go providers on site were extremely helpful and gave me valuable tips that enriched my stay. Communication was uncomplicated as they spoke fluent English. Overall, it was an unforgettable vacation that I can recommend to anyone.

Wonderful! Thats the word to describe our entire experience at Evi and Dimitris’ charming studio on the sea. Makry Gialos is a quaint, small, peaceful seaside village away from noise and hustle bustle. Just what we wanted. The village center was an easy, short walk away if ever we wanted. Being right on the beach; listening to the waves all day long…..it was just what we wanted. We prepared all our own meals. The kitchenette was well equipped for that. The bed was very comfortable…. Absolutely a perfect stay. We were sorry to leave. We’d definitely stay here again. Dimitris and Evi were easily accessible and responsive to any and all queries and questions.
