We had such a wonderful time at this amazing little cottage. It was so charming and comfortable and very clean! This gem is the best place we have stayed in this breathtaking country. We loved the hot tub and beautiful views. Amazing host!

We loved the place! The big windows, the great view into the distance. You can tell that someone enjoys decorating. The house is very "Aurora-friendly", all light outside can be turned off. We would rent this house again immediately if in the area!

A great log cabin in the middle of nowhere with an excellent hot tub. We only stayed for a night and loved how well the space was used inside the cabin with all possible amenities catered to. Sadly, we didn't see the Northern lights when we were there but would come back again at the next chance.

We had a magical time at Sabrina’s cabin! Sabrina was incredibly helpful, kind, and responsive. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed as well as close to many sights. We saw the northern lights from the cabin our first night! Unforgettable :) Book it!!!

Árni’s cottage was a wonderful place to stay as part of our recent Iceland vacation. The setting is stunningly beautiful and the cottage is perfect in every way - very cozy, peaceful and lovely to sit at the dining table, drink coffee and enjoy the view. Location is great, very easy check-in and check-out, and the host is a delight to communicate with and provided great recommendations (hvammsvik is wonderful!). Would love to return on a future Iceland visit! 5 stars!!

We had a lovely time in the cabin, it was just a shame that the weather wasn't good enough to use the hot tub. The cabin had everything we needed for the week (plus much more) and we would love to go back again one day.

My husband and I wanted to get away from the city and out in the country. This was the perfect place for us. The scenery around the cabin is breathtaking. We enjoyed the hottub and we're also able to view the Northern Lights on a few nights. The amenities inside were perfect and just what we needed. I was a little apprehensive about the shower being outside in a separate building, at first, but the water was hot and the pressure was excellent. Our stay was perfect and the communication with Vidar was top notch. Such a beautiful place.

Good tiny home that we used as a base camp to go exploring Iceland from during our week there. Fits the description and photos. We saw wonderful northern lights right above the house !

Our stay at the cottage was AB-SO-LU-TE heaven! The cottage is very conveniently located (just about a mile from Geysir Center and a mere 10 minute drive to Gullfoss waterfall). It boasts everything we could possibly wish for (O.K., we never switched on the huge T.V. set, but we used the Spotify/internet radio combo to listen to some music plus the internet connection seems to be pretty high speed!). The kitchen is extremely well equipped with every possible tool and machine (barista-style coffee machine, blender, waffle iron, water cooker, BBQ, toaster, etc.). The pictures here on AirBnB are very accurate to what one can expect at the cottage. Even though it was freezing cold and windy outside we got soaked in the nice jacuzzi outside and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The newly installed rain shower in the bathroom was also very cool - and for those who stay longer there is even a brand new washing machine available. The beds are out of this world. We all slept like babies. Too bad we could not take the mattresses back home ;-) Communication with Páll was very, very easy. He was always available (and he even inquired if everything is fine after the big snowstorm that hit Iceland during our stay), communicating with him was a pleasure. Plus: He was extremely easy-going, flexible and generous when it came to postponing our original reservation due to unforseeable circumstances. All in all: We would give Páll and the cottage 7 stars if that was possible! Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your wonderful place! We'll be back!

Gudny's place was amazing and the photos didn't do it justice. My family of 5 were very comfortable. We loved the updated bathroom and use of the hot tub.

Amazing Cottage! Thank you for the clean and beautiful home as well as the fast replies which made booking and staying in the home such a breeze! Amazing hot tub & grill as well. Definitely would recommend this home to people who’re visiting the area!

The scenery was amazing. It was wonderful to hang out on the porch, though admittedly a bit chilly in early October. The cabin was very cute, well laid out, clean, and with many small touches that made it wonderful. Only downside was that the hot water does have a strong sulfur smell and the kitchen sink is shallow resulting in water often spraying out of the sink due to the high water pressure. Aside from those two minor issues that place was perfect solitude. One other item to mention is that the nearby waterfall trail was very worthwhile. You park in the nearby small neighborhood and walk up an ATV trail. It was amazing to be the only people around the waterfall and to be able to hike further up the mountains.

This is a nice comfortable cottage for a small family of of four with small children but a bit of a squeeze for four full grown adults. That said, its beautiful and has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Even the sofa bed was comfortable and afforded me a good quality sleep. There are black out curtains for this time of the year when its daylight 24:7. Thatnk you for making our stay comfortable and great!

Beautiful wooden little house. Very nice with everything you need. We were very comfortable and felt right at home. Surrounded by a beautiful environment, we saw the horses from afar. Due to bad weather, we couldn't see them more or walk, but if we have the chance, we'll come back to do it. Highly recommend!

Over the top effort to make the home lovely, comfortable, and packed with every imaginable kitchen appliance, cooking utensil, pots & pans, and dinnerware, Netflix, Prime video and much more.

Clean, simple accommodation. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful surroundings, far from the hustle and bustle with lots of nature. We felt comfortable.

Our stay at this charming cottage in Borgarbyggð was absolutely perfect! The house had all the essentials. It felt like a true home away from home. The cottage itself was beautiful and peaceful, providing a serene escape after our days exploring West Iceland. Its location was ideal as a base for our adventures, allowing us to easily visit all the stunning sights in the region. We particularly appreciated the tranquility of the surroundings; it was so quiet and relaxing. The host was also very responsive. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped place to stay while exploring West Iceland. We'd love to return someday!

Very nice place to stay! I can really recommend this airbnb :)

The place was really super cozy and cleverly decorated. Upstairs there are two beds and the couch can also be folded out. We both slept upstairs on the beds and had a wonderful view in the evening. The only thing I want to point out is that the beds are quite small. I am 1.70 and fit in quite well, above that it will eventually be tight. We would come again again on any case!

Gestur’s place was perfect for our family of three. It is cozy and surrounded by beautiful views and farmland. A town is close by and it was a great base for day trips around the area.
