A beautiful old countryside home, lovely furnished in a paradise-like setting. The house is perfect for people who are looking to get a break from the big, loud world or would like to discover the beautiful Swiss mountains by foot. If you are coming by public transport you will need to hike one hour on a very beautiful hiking path (Weesen - Quinten). If you decide to come by car you will only need to hike 15min from the parking lot to the house. We highly recommend to wear good hiking shoes.

I had the best stay in years. Beautiful ´house´ on a beautiful place. Martin and Heike immediately made me feel welcome. Everything you wish for was present , I lacked nothing. There was more than enough room for me and my dog. I definitely will come back to explore more!

What a view! This was such a peaceful home to stay in. It was perfect for our family. We cooked a few dinners at the house and had a few dinners. Our host recommended renting a car as local bus doesn’t always run when you need it. I would recommend renting a car for this location as uber isn’t always available and it’s a hike up the mountain with luggage. We would definitely stay here again.

The cottage is spacious, clean, pleasantly arranged and very well equipped. We didn't miss a thing. It is located in a peaceful mountain town with splendid hikes within walking distance or ski lifts. There are also several convenience stores that made our stay easier. Our hosts were particularly caring, always attentive and very available. The departure and arrival instructions were very clear. We recommend this very pleasant chalet to live in, located only 30 minutes drive from the start of two of the most beautiful hikes in all of Switzerland (the Grosser Mythen and the ridge path between Fronalpstock and Klingenstock). The chalet is also 1 hour by car from Zurich and Lucerne, two very touristy major cities with beautiful architecture. In the end, it is an exotic chalet in the middle of green mountain pastures but only an hour from large modern and lively cities.

Nina is a wonderful host. She is proactive, flexible, kind, and responsive. She had everything we needed in the apartment. The apartment is a beautiful large efficiency apartment with a full kitchen in a peaceful neighborhood in a small town that is on a lake. Bed is comfortable and shower is amazing. There is no air conditioner and no washing machine in the unit. There are lots of great hikes for nature lovers and the lovers of peace and tranquility. It would be easier if you had a car to get around but there is ample public transportation; there are buses and boats which will take you to the train station or other nearby towns. We love to walk and you can walk the entire town of Weesen which is about 1.5 or 2 miles. There is only one grocery store in town which is about 20 minutes walk or about 1 mile away. But you can always take the bus. The bus stop is about a block away. Thank you dear Nina for your kind hospitality. We felt at home. We will definitely return.

We had a great stay! The place was right across from a beautiful lake, which was an added bonus. The place was spotless and easy to get to. Great central location!
