Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Holmfirth

Lovely cottage in a pretty village. We enjoyed our stay so much we’ve booked again 😊

I live locally and brought my mum and little furry friend to stay at Carr Cottage for a couple nights while we were having work done on our place. We were looking for somewhere comfortable and clean to get away for a few days and maybe enjoy a few nice walks with the dog. We got all that and more. This cottage was such a lovely respite and we enjoyed every second of our stay. It was the perfect little place for us to have a much needed rest & ease the burden of all the craziness going on back home. The scenery was gorgeous, the location peaceful & picturesque, and the cottage wonderfully cozy. Everything was lovingly prepared and clearly done with a lot of care. We were very impressed with absolutely everything and appreciate that so much thought was put into every aspect of the home and making our stay as comfortable as possible. Despite living locally, we don’t venture up Luddenden nearly enough and we would love to come again. Thank you for everything!

Our family had a lovely stay at the Barn. The wood fire made the space very cozy. Beds were very comfortable and it was lovely waking up to a view of the fields. The welcome scones were a nice touch and we were given space and privacy by the hosts but knew we could ask for suggestions of help if we needed. We will definitely come back on our next visit to the Peak District.

We had a wonderful stay at Dove Cottage! Located within the gates of the main house the cottage felt very secure and private! Susan was super helpful with local recommendations and what pubs etc were dog friendly! Upon arrival there was a loaf of bread, butter, some oat cakes, crisps, cookies, some cheese and milk waiting for us which was such a nice touch!! We brought our dog and Susan had even left some lovely treats for her!! For anyone wanting easy access to the Peak District, a cosy place to stay with the most lovely hosts, we would definitely recommend Dove Cottage!!

Was so convenient for our favorite restaurant, Eric’s & lots of nice bars & restaurants. Great parking & very well equipped, lovely linens & lots of large fluffy towels which was a nice bonus. Would definitely stay again.

Booked this trip last minute and was not disappointed with our choice, the instructions for parking and how to find the cottage was spot on. Less then a couple minutes walk and you’re at all the coffee shops and pubs with a short drive to other villages and all the famous walks.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning spa chalet with my partner, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Nestled in a peaceful setting, the chalet combines natural beauty with luxurious comfort. The atmosphere was serene and calming—perfect for unwinding and recharging. Inside, the chalet was beautifully designed, with cozy interiors, tasteful décor, and every modern comfort thoughtfully provided. My partner and I can’t even begin to put into words how blown away we were with our stay. We stayed over for our wedding weekend, and Tracey immediately started it off strong with balloons, card, and a bottle of bubbly. The property is absolutely breathtaking. It is well decorated - a nice mix of rustic and modern decor - with a gorgeous view of the countryside. All rooms were spacious and comfortable, and made us feel right at home. Tracey was extremely easy to communicate with and ensured that our stay was perfect. We will 100% be staying again in the future, and we urge anyone that wants to book here to do it!

Beautiful apartment right in the centre of Castleton! Lots of restaurants/pubs, small convenience shops, and amazing views right on your doorstep. Marieanne was so friendly and always responsive, and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. Definitely will have to visit again next time we’re in Castleton!

I booked this for my daughter and husband who were visiting from Australia. It was perfect for them . They walked regularly along the canal and into Bingley where there are loads of shops, bars and restaurants. They said it was very comfortable and quiet and will recommend

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated in a vintage style, which made our stay warm and comfortable. Carmen and Martin welcomed us with open arms, and Carmen was incredibly kind and friendly. She explained everything clearly and made sure we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Thank you for the amazing hospitality — we truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again!

Just stayed here for the one night and just what we needed. Great little place.

Gina’s apartment was wonderful and in a fantastic location. It was spotless and well-equipped, with plenty of toiletries, cleaning supplies, towels, and more. We also appreciated the thoughtful provision of basic breakfast supplies, including milk. The internet worked perfectly, and there was a smart TV with free satellite channels and apps like Netflix, which we could easily log into. Gina was an exceptional host, offering great communication and a warm, friendly attitude. We even had a lovely chat before we left, and it felt like we’d known each other for years! I only wish I could have stayed longer to continue the conversation.

Had an amazing time at Holmdene in the Peak District. was perfectly located for all the walking and trips/tours we wanted to do in Castleton. Charlotte & Stuart were wonderful hosts who greeted us warmly on arrival and Charlotte gave us a detailed chat on all the walks we could do tho we didn't get to experience all of them in our short stay due to weather. We had a lovely evening in the pod with friends and we felt very at home in the apartment which was spotless and well equipped for all our needs and we would highly recommend Holmdene to anyone looking to stay in Castleton. we will definitely be back for more visits. Oh my goodness, they had thought of everything!!! Having given us a lovely warm welcome we discovered there was food to get us going in the fridge, the facilities were above and beyond and the setting unbelievably beautiful. The first Airbnb I’ve been to that has toothpicks, postitnotes and binoculars!!

After reading all of the positive reviews. I can clarify they’re all spot on. Stayed at the annex over the bank holiday weekend for three nights. Definitely going to book again if available. Sarah and Peter are so friendly and accommodating. Many thanks. Hoping to see you soon
