Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Hillcrest, San Diego

Dan and Britt’s place was amazing! Very well decorated, clean, and Britt was super fast about getting back to me on a question I had! The only thing is that this is not a super quiet spot, but that is no fault of the hosts, that is what you get for being in the city, and they did have very large dividers in the backyard so even though you could hear your neighbors, you could not see them. Overall a great deal for the price, would definitely stay again!

As described in other reviews. Best location I have stayed at in San Diego. Great central location and good access to freeways and so close to the airport. Everything you need in the house, spacious and walking distance to the grocery store right down the street. Would definitely return again.

Right when we got to the house, it just felt right at home. The kitchen had everything you need that you can cook which is what we did the first night! The hot tub was amazing, and the living room was great to watch tv and have your dogs near you while you’re relaxing. When you’re going to sleep, the beds and the pillows were amazing to lay down while you’re watching tv as well. Everything was home feeling and that’s exactly what we needed! Thank you Clinton! I will come back here again.

We really had a great time at Svelte ‘s place. The house is clean, airy but cozy and beautiful. We could walk to the numerous good restaurants in the neighborhood. We will surely come back.

My stay was wonderful! The house was well taken care of, host were responsive and friendly. There was a lil hiccup at check in but they were so kind to apologize and make it up to us. I really appreciate that, it shows they care about their guests. There’s a grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops and more within walkable distance. When I come to San Diego I’ll definitely book here again! Totally recommend 🤗

We had a great time staying at Matteo's place. Fantastic neighborhood/location and very nice space. When two of the members of our party needed to extend their stay, Matteo was very helpful and made everything easy.

Ariel was very accommodating from the start. Her home was very clean, spacious and well kept. I’m so glad she had toys, a pack n play and highchair for my infant. It was so convenient and comfortable. I would definitely recommend and I would stay here again! :)

Amazing place. Easy to get to anywhere in SD... Super accommodating...all the amenities were as listed everything worked.. jacuzzi was splendid and the place was extremely comfortable. Would come again

Kaitlin was an incredible hostess to her beautiful home in San Diego. We immediately felt right at home and immensely enjoyed our stay. Kaitlin truly knows what it means to create an environment that is warm, welcoming, and cozy. We could not recommend her more!!

Jasmines place is a gem! In a very peaceful area, beautiful view to walk out to every morning. The outside deck was a huge plus, very cozy. She not only gave us good food recommendations but was very flexible with our check out time. Would recommend to anyone!

Celeste and Frida Casita were both great! Helpful and responsive. Nice,small thoughtful things at the casita that I had not seen before and made this air bnb stand out! Our 2 dogs loved it! Thank you

We loved our stay at Richard's place. He was very friendly and reached out to make sure our stay was going well throughout our trip. The location is perfect! It's close to everything, we walked all over. Lots of really good places to eat, shopping and the beach was super close! Plus they supplied beach towels, chairs and other fun stuff to use. The house itself, was perfect for two people, it is small, but roomy. The bed was comfortable, everything was super clean and we really appreciated the snacks and water awaiting for us, since we had arrived super late in the evening. I would highly recommend this home and will definitely be back!

Pretty much perfect. Location is just stupid perfect. Walk right over to the Del Coronado, right to the beach, right to coffee. The place is perfect for a couples romantic stay. I plan on going back each year. I would suggest using their parking at the B of A right next door. Totally worth it. I really have zero bad things to say. Value A+. Easy A+ Clean A+. Safety A+++++. Lobster rolls across the street A+. Buzzed coffee around the corner A++++. I’ll be back.

The location is perfect for sightseeing in San Diego, many of the towns are within walking distance or a few minutes by car. Vivian is a very good host, she was always attentive and responded quickly. The only thing we had was that we hardly had any hot water.

Such a beautiful place! if you like peaceful, quiet, cozy, but also close to a small town with cute shops.... Amazing place! we saw sooo many turkeys.

This is one of those true gems you’re absolutely stoked to stumble upon. The minute we drove down the country lane and saw the house, my wife and I knew we had found a truly magical getaway. We both agree it’s one of the top three homes/properties we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing! Every square inch of the property is amazing. The house is beautiful. The kitchen is stocked and perfect for those who enjoy cooking. We cooked three of the four nights because we just loved the atmosphere and views so much! Our four year old absolutely loved exploring the trails, pond and backyard. The hot tub was in perfect condition. Rare! The awesome fire-pit on the balcony was perfect for making smores and staying warm while listening to the frogs sing while stargazing. We played games, watched movies and just had a perfect long weekend. The worst part was having to say goodbye! It was so peaceful, it’s going to be hard to beat such a good nights rest. Another week would have been nice!

Amazing place to stay with our family. So much to do on the ranch that we didn’t even have to leave to find something to do. It felt like a home away from home and being surrounded by animals was an animal lovers dream. My teenage nephews who are always on their phones even loved it here. Nick the dog was the sweetest and walked us and our guests to the front door and showed us around the ranch. Chancelor was an amazing host and provided us with so many recommendations and offered a tour of the ranch. We definitely have to come back to take him up on his offer so we can learn more. My family and I are thinking of making this an annual trip!

Wendy and Tony are very communicative, proactive and kind. They offered great suggestions of local areas. There are multiple patio areas with amazing plants and seating areas to enjoy the beautiful weather. We had a great stay, thank you!

The location was perfect—peaceful and private, breathtaking mountain view from the pool. We especially how quiet the neighborhood was. Our host Posh was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful, making check-in and communication smooth and stress-free. It’s clear they truly care about their guests’ comfort and experience. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it whole.

This place is amazing. I slept so well since the location is quiet and secluded. Colleen is quick to respond and super kind. The design of the cabin itself is pretty as well. I would 100% stay here again.

I absolutely fell in love with the historical charm of this cabin! It’s such a delightful spot, filled with an amazing atmosphere that makes it a perfect getaway. One minor hiccup during our trip from Arizona back to San Diego was the lack of cell signal, which made checking in a bit challenging. However, that small inconvenience couldn’t dampen our spirits! The vintage bathtub added such a lovely touch to our stay, and I appreciated the old-fashioned heating system that kept us cozy when the night air turned chilly. The porch was a gem as well! Nestled in nature and featuring comfy seating, it was the ideal spot to unwind. While the area doesn’t allow for outdoor lights, having a flashlight handy is a great idea if you’re arriving after sunset. The location is perfect for a leisurely stroll, and we enjoyed the fascinating history shared. Overall, we are truly grateful for the opportunity to experience this. Another bonus is that Julian is just down the street!

This place is exactly what you see. You have all the privacy you need, but you're not too far away from the market. Finding the place, getting inside and the amount of things that you can do at the home, makes it worth the stay. The house was spotless, and everything in the house works. No surprises.
