Converted Coach House with views over River Otter.

The Coach house is recently renovated to a very high standard. It consists of a living room with plenty of seating, wood burner, free supply of logs, under floor heating, a dining room that opens into our extensive gardens, a bathroom with shower, separate bath and plenty of fluffy towels and a large upstairs bedroom with seating area with views over the River Otter and garden. It is ideal for a couple/ young family as there is a cot and single bed, available in the bedroom area.

A traditional log burner is set within a brick fireplace, emitting a warm glow. A woven basket filled with logs sits to the left, while a rustic wooden chair with a decorative pillow is positioned on the right. Pine cones are scattered on the floor nearby.

It's a great base for walking, cycling, touring, shopping, eating and drinking ...and curling up in front of the log fire. Sidbury village is a 20 min walk away. And Sidmouth, on the Jurassic Coast, is just a 4 mile drive. A few days at Filcombe will leave you relaxed, refreshed and keen to come back!

Marianne’s place was a lovely place to stay which was nicely furnished, with SUPER comfy beds in a beautiful setting. It was perfect for a family of 4 with small children. Our 4 year old had a lovely time exploring the toys and books in the annexe. Although we were visiting family in the area for a short weekend, we used some of Marianne’s recommendations listed in her visitors book. There were plenty of options and we would have liked longer to relax and explore!

I was catching a ferry from Portsmouth and live quite a distance away so stayed at Rachel's place for one evening. It's a beautiful location within easy reach of Exeter if needed in the evening. Spotlessly clean and has everything needed for a short stay.Rachel and her family greeted us and we're very hospitable and she was extremely responsive when messaged for information. I would absolutely stay again

Charlotte was a great host, we had a lovely couple of days there and came back feeling happy and relaxed! Check in/out instructions were super clear and easy to follow. The annex itself was cosy, clean and had all the supplies you would need. Would highly recommend staying here!!

Absolutely outstanding five star accommodation!! My other half booked 'Deer View' for my upcoming birthday - He did well, as what a beautiful home! The remote location, (local to Ottery-St-Mary) attention to detail, friendliness of the hosts, among lots of other things, were all second to none! Debbie is outstanding! She's so super friendly & made us all feel like family! We were given carrots daily to feed the deers - which absolutely made our little boys holiday! As soon as we stepped foot on the farm, we new it would become our 'regular getaway'. The views from the garden were amazing - Especially watching the sun set from the hot tub! Debbie catered for everything! There's even a washing machine & tumble dryer should you need it! The kitchen is very high tech with great appliances. Wonderfully comfortable beds, a cosy sofa to snuggle up on, fantastic shower & a huge dining table! We're already missing Debbie, the farm dogs & animals, & can't wait to visit again soon! x
