Although there is no living room, there is an intimate seating arrangement beside the fireplace to enjoy with a book, coffee or drink. The City of Stratford has implemented a Municipal Accommodation Tax of 4%, which I have had to add to the nightly room fee.

It's important to note that our quaint unit does have a saniflo toilet and pumping system(ie. maceration system) which means there is noise associated with flushing and drainage. The Jacob is a lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated, ultra clean and very quiet but close to all Stratford has to offer. Kelley was super responsive and it was easy to check in and feel at home immediately. Parking on site was very helpful and you can easily walk to the Festival Theatre and the water. We would definitely recommend The Jacob and we look forward to staying there again soon! The coffee shop/wine bar downstairs is also a lovely convenient neighbourhood gathering!

Every year I go to the Festival and have stayed at different places. This is THE BEST! Quiet, clean, roomy and within easy walking distance of the theaters and downtown. A real gem. Murray is so thoughtful and a great host. He even did magic and ensured beautiful warm weather to show off the wonderful backyard in mid October.This will be my go to place from now on!
