Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Hants County

This was the second time that I stayed at Kit's Airbnb. It was great both times. The carriage house is spacious and well equipped for everything you could want for a short or long term stay. The location is perfect as you can walk to any location in town. This time we had a meal at Church Brewing Company which was excellent. We would also recommend visiting the many wineries. Many have wonderful views and serve meals (e.g. Luckett's and Lightfoot and Wolfville). There are many things to do in the area. This time we went to Tangled Garden and wandered their fantastic and unusual gardens, also purchased several products. I hope to return and to stay in the Carriage House in the future. Cathy

We enjoyed staying at Robert's fabulously decorated home. It is a unique home in a beautiful setting; it's not often we get to stay in a home with exotic birds, friendly ducks, and a dinosaur room. And Robert is an excellent host. It's a great location for seeing the area - many attractions within a 1-2 hour drive. We would stay here again if our travels bring us back to Nova Scotia.

Had a wonderful stay in Mahone Bay. The AB&B was beautiful spacious and had all the amenities you need. It was located in the heart of town and was easy walking to shops eateries and the waterfront. Craig and Laura were wonderful host responding quickly to all our needs.

Very cozy place! It was right by the water with a beautiful view. Very convenient as well. We were about a 30 minutes drive from Downtown Halifax. Ashley was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful place and amazing host! I'd stay there again. :)

My husband and I had a lovely time.the water was beautiful,we loved the deck swings.everything was very clean and tidy.good communication.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mary's place. It had everything we needed, including a nice big kitchen with a lovely view; it felt like I was cooking in a treehouse :-) Mary was very easy to communicate with. We would be happy to stay here again.

This property is very cottage like and quaint. It was clean and Erin was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had.

The place was comfortable and good value for money. Peaceful neighborhood away from the busy Halifax area. It had the necessary amenities and Barry was very accommodating and friendly.

A great stay. Loved the architectural uniqueness of the apartment. Lunenberg is a surprising discovery for those like me who hadn’t heard much about it before visiting. Great fish/ lobster restaurants close by. And the whale watching tour was only a short walk away.

Absolutely gorgeous pristine property with a beautiful fire pit and seating area. Great little walking trail that surrounds the property and follows along a brook. The hosts had every light clearly labeled in the house for which was which this was great when your unfamiliar with the spot. The hosts had clear instructions posted on the door how to access the walking trail, how to start the BBQ, how to start the firepit. Although not beach weather during my stay the airbnb was equipped with beach chairs a cooler and beach toys and boogie boards for guest use and also was all Clearly labeled stating so. Bathroom had extra "if you forget" toiletries. Small coffee area fully stocked with small snacks and espresso machine with full stock of pods. Another great feature was the bedroom had a small rechargeable fan you could use as hand held or lay on your pillow if your a fan person I loved this. Definetly recommend this airbnb and the hosts 5*

The suite was perfect! Endless restaurants & shopping within a 5 minute walk, and excellent location for the Magic Winery Bus drop off & pick up! Unit had everything needed for our stay, and we especially enjoyed the patio for morning coffee and evening wine. Very peaceful and private. Blair was super responsive and provided clear instructions for check in & check out. Highly recommend!

Victoria has created such a cozy and welcoming space with an absolutely gorgeous view. Everything is spotless and pristine, the bed was super comfortable, and she has provided all you need for a home away from home. We enjoyed meeting her very sociable chickens and were able to truly relax in between our runs into Halifax for fabulous food, and a quick trip to Peggy’s Cove. Although our stay was brief, we had a simply marvelous time. Thank you so much, Victoria!

We stayed for 6 months and it was absolutely wonderful! There were lots of beaches and trails nearby to take our dog. The views were amazing! We even saw a seal once! The apartment was beautiful as well, especially the kitchen (as someone who loves to cook and bake it was perfect!) It's the perfect distance from Halifax if you don't like the bustle of a city but still want to do some sightseeing if you don't mind driving a bit! Overall we loved every part of our stay :)

We had such a wonderful stay. The property is so beautifully landscaped by Bruce and Leesa. You can see the love and care they put into it. The inside was no exception. It felt warm and inviting. Leesa and Bruce are wonderful people. Very friendly and put us at ease right away. Really really nice couple. Don't think twice about booking this place. You will not be disappointed. We will be coming back and will book Leesa and Bruce's place without a question. Thanks for making us feel so welcomed.

The Airbnb photographs do not do justice to Amber’s place. The unit is spacious, very nicely renovated, well stocked and included some very thoughtful touches. Though on a main street and a weekend, it was quiet as was the building. Port Williams is a terrific place to visit! There are some nice local restaurants close by and a walking trail leading to Wolfville. The unit was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Towels, linens etc. were plentiful and our host highly responsive and welcoming. Amber’s place is a lovely Airbnb and I highly recommend staying there. Parking is included and if more than one car, overflow and street parking. Thank you Amber and Albert!

Moira’s place is stunning. We had a great time at her place. Very responsive to messages. Had all the amenities listed in the listing. Kitchen was big enough to feel a large group like us. Kids had enough space to run around and utilize the game room. The living room space with the reclining chairs were perfect! Placing the shuffleboard beside the living room is genius. We even had tournaments 😂. Overall, we loved it. I wish the road to the lodge was better. But that’s not on Moira. We would love to come back in peak summer to take advantage of the lake.

This place was an outstanding find! Our family had a wonderful holiday. My 86 year old father enjoyed having a main floor bedroom. The place was comfortable and we enjoyed the 2nd floor outdoor fireplace at sunset. Jesse was an amazing host. I highly recommend.

The location is absolutely beautiful and more spacious than the photos show. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and rolling fog from the bright open windows throughout the house. The host is very excited to share the experience with guests by providing kayaks and local food/ activity recommendations. The property is well looked after by a neighbor / property manager who has great recommendations as well! The property is remote but still within reasonable driving distance of Halifax and other tourist destinations. We recommend you get groceries on your way in though as there are limited grocery options in immediate area. Farmers markets are easily found and have best of NS. Highly recommend for a beautiful and relaxing vacation!

Jordan's villa was absolutely stunning. The expansive space had beautiful rooms, and surpassed all expectations. The photos depicted a lovely spot but it was even more incredible in person. Is is beautifully decorated, absolutely immaculate and had every possible amenity one could think of. It was a wonderful stay for us and I highly recommend a visit! It could not have been any more perfect!

It was an interesting stay for the host and for our group. First, I got a message that the air conditioning had failed the day before we arrived and the repair people were not available until after our stay. So the hosts put fans in all of the rooms! Then the hurricane came and it was not safe to stay. We left the day the hosts were coming to secure the house for the storm. And they initiated a refund for the days we could not stay! You can’t ask for more from hosts! The house is lovely and a great place to stay!

Our family had a wonderful stay. Scenery was beautiful, house was perfect, and enjoyed all our day trips (Lunenberg, Peggs Cove, Halifax). Jordan was a perfect host, always responsive. Our two kids (6, 2) loved playing on bunk beds, and there were some games and activities to keep them entertained. Highly recommend for a getaway - family, couple, or friends. The accommodations in this heritage property are outstanding- super charming, quant, and yes very romantic. It offers plenty of peace and quiet, as it is very remote. Advocate Harbour is a tiny place, perfect to explore Cape D’Or and the nearby red rocks in Chignecto Park. It’s a bit out of the way, so expect a bit of a journey, but the payoff at the end (the lighthouse) is worth it. The host left a lovely selection of continental food for breakfast, homemade granola, and some local confitures. Very nice.
