Rade has its own highway exit and access, so the highway exit is easy to find even for those unfamiliar with the area. The proximity to the Stuivenwald, which is partly already part of Hamburg, gives the place its rural character.

The property is located in a quiet residential area with very good connections: the S-Bahn is within 8 minutes walking distance and leads directly to the main attractions. The city center and harbor can be reached in just 10 minutes by car. Parking spaces are not on the property, but are available free of charge and unlimited in time on the roundabout directly in front of the house. The honey storage is an old wooden house and has been in this place for over 240 years. It's a place full of history, in the heart of the tiny village of Hartböhn. The honey storage has been completely renovated in 2024 and has a tastefully decorated and comfortable living area for 2 persons with garden and two terraces. There is plenty of peace and space here. Active guests can walk to their heart's content, ride a bike and explore the beautiful Lüneburg Heath.

Big vacation home with sauna by the Klecker Wald

Our Heidehaus was built in 2001 in traditional timber construction with ecological materials and has a very beautiful and relaxing energy. It consists of two connected houses and is located in a very quiet residential area, right next to the beautiful Klecker Wald (Forest). The guest house was completely renovated in 2024 and has a new kitchen, a new bathroom and a sauna with an infrared/heat cabin. I live in the rear house myself with my family.

The laundry room

In our former laundry room there used to be a large wash tub, the fireplace has remained and we plan to connect a small cozy stove. The charming cottage is now a light-flooded bright room because we opened the ceiling and installed 3 skylights. A ladder can be used to climb to the 2nd sleeping place. There are 2 more mattresses there. The kitchen is well equipped. A cozy spot in front of the house invites you to linger.

Bread service and bike rental available on request. Very good transport connections to Bremen and Hamburg. Excursions to Altes Land, Lüneburg Heath and the Teufelsmoor. Hiking on the northern trails, cycling on the Wümme cycle path, canoeing on the Wümme.
