Karen and Greg are wonderful! They're very kind, friendly, helpful and insightful about everything to experience in Hakuba. The lodge is incredibly comfortable, peaceful and quiet, yet close to everything one would need. Ski shuttle stop is just a few steps away. We will definitely be back, mainly because of the fantastic hosts! I highly recommend!!

Asuka Lodge: Triple room with breakfast

SarahRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Excellent location and the rooms were clean and cosy. The bed was very comfortable which we were happy with as we all slept very well. There is only one shower if you don’t want to use the Onsen however we never had an issue with this or had to wait. They also accommodated our dietary requirements for breakfast 😊

Deluxe large double or twin room (ensuite)

What an amazing stay at Aibiya! We only had 3 nights in Nagano and decided to stay at Yudanaka so we would have quick and easy access to the snow monkey park and the snow fields. Aibiya was the perfect place for our little family with kids aged 8 and 6, an easy walk to the train and bus station. Right from the time of booking, communication was first class. Seongmi and Yoshi offered heaps of suggestions and advice on visiting the region as well as tips for making it a safer trip. Upon arrival, Yoshi made the check-in process very easy, had lots of tips for dining and even booked us a private rooftop onsen at a nearby hotel. The guest house is a beautiful traditional Japanese hotel which immediately felt like home. Our room was spacious and the shared areas were clean and tidy with plenty of books, games and origami for the kids. By far the best thing about our stay were Seongmi and Yoshi, the most welcoming, warm and helpful hosts. We look forward to staying with them again!

Aibiya Superior room with shared facilities

GiovannaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Aibiya was a lovely place to stay for our few days in Yudanaka! The hosts are very kind and provided many recommendations for the local area, including restaurants, shops, and bars. The onsen passes that you can purchase from the hosts are great since you aren’t staying at a ryokan. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay with Seongmi and Yoshi at Aibiya. We were there for 5 nights total to finish up our trip in Japan. I’ll probably forget some things, but here is a list of things that we loved about this place - Yoshi and Seongmi were fantastic hosts, so friendly and always up for a chat about anything and everything. - They provided us with great recommendations on restaurants and things to do in the area. - We were able to book onsens directly through Seongmi and Yoshi (there is a great one like 50m up the road that we went to twice) - Having breakfast provided. It’s a small thing, but so nice to not have to think about what you’re going to eat. - The place was always spotless and beautifully decorated and lit. We felt right at home immediately. Our only regret is not coming here a couple of months later to enjoy the snow. We will definitely be back in the ski season next time. See you soon! Jack and Maria

Chalet - 2 Futon beds - Share bathroom

I felt so lucky to have booked a room at Ado’s place. He was available at all time to assist and went above and beyond to help me after I had a bad injury on the 2nd day of my ski trip. He helped me move around, stay an extra night and also helped me get to my bus stop with all my luggage. I’d 100% stay here again knowing the service level.

Absolutely perfect for singles and groups. The staff are all so friendly and kind, assisting us whenever we needed. The place was very clean, great walking distance to restaurants and Happo one mountain. They had their own Onsen which was an awesome experience and the Bar was open every afternoon with a great range of spirits. Absolutely would stay here again. Thank you to the team at Nomad Hakuba!

Hakuba Bear's Lodge: Family Room Dual Slalom

KathrynRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Leticia made us feel like a guest. She personally picked us up from Hakuba Station with Pedro and showed us our room and the amenities. She made us coffee and breakfast each day. She’s half Japanese/Brazillian and served an amazing brazillian breakfast each day. There was a massage chair in the common area along with tea. We caught the free shuttle from the Jaja convenience store to the snow a few doors down which was easy. Highly recommend. Note there is a bar downstairs below the accommodation open until 10am.
A renovated Japanese lodge is positioned amidst a snowy landscape. The building features a mix of traditional and Western architecture, with multiple levels and balconies. Snow-covered trees and a backdrop of distant mountains create a serene winter scene.

My partner and myself absolutely loved our BnB stay here. From start to end it was a breeze. The hosts are lovely, the breakfasts are a nice touch and the generous offer of shuttling their clients around during the stay made everything a lot easier. The home was clean, the rooms were generous and overall it was a very homey experience. We’d be happy to return to Myoko in the future and will most likely be booking here again.

Hakuba Bear's Lodge: Family Room Enduro

Hakuba Bears Lodge is in a very convenient location in Echoland. The accommodation is basic and needs some more improvements. The managers, Leticia and Pedro do a fantastic job and with the assistance of the bar and restaurant staff provided an extremely enjoyable stay. Once my emails were forwarded to Leticia, the responses were quick and helpful.
