Waterfront vacation rentals in Hafnarfjörður

Beautiful space and great view. The host was extremely flexible with check in and check out. While we wished it was a little closer to downtown, you can't beat how amazing the view was and how spacious the apartment felt. We used the living space for some work meetings and it was very accommodating for 6 people to work comfortably. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. Highly recommend all the way around!

It was a very pleasant experience, the room was located in a very convenient place, you can find supermarket, nice restaurants all in walking distance. The house was clean and cozy, Selma was so nice and always replied in a very short period of time~ will come back again if it is possible~ 5-star recommend!

A very pleasant, bright flat in a quiet street. Just perfect! Everything was available, well furnished. Helga was always available and responsive. I would recommend this place!

Me, my wife and our son stayed at Ingiberg’s place for 6 nights on our trip to Iceland. The apartment was very easy to find and we were able to park the car in the allocated bay (inside the garage). It is slightly outside of the main town but providing you don’t mind a walk (35 minutes) like us then it is not a problem at all. The apartment was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Tv and sound system were great for the evenings. Ingiberg was very responsive on messages and even alerted us when the northern lights were on show. Would definitly recommend staying at the apartment to anyone visiting Iceland.

Disa’s place was perfect for us, cozy and stylish in a beautiful setting. Not too far from town but felt remote. Very comfortable bed, refreshing shower. We appreciated making coffee in the Moccamaster.

My family and I (5 adults) had a great stay there. Hjalmar and his wife greeted us when we arrived at the house. He was very responsive and flexible with our check-in. The place was clean and comfortable. It had everything. We would stay there again. Highly recommend!

Stella’s apartment is a great place to stay. It is spacious and very comfortable. Comfy beds and sofas and well equipped kitchen. Super location near the water front and close by all central attractions and shops. Stella was very helpful throughout. Highly recommend

Wir haben es bei Edyta sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und schön eingerichtet und hat alles was man für seinen Aufenthalt braucht. Außerdem war Edyta super zuvorkommend und hat uns aufgrund unseres späten Abfluges sogar noch ermöglicht später aus der Unterkunft auszuchecken!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en Islande grâce au camping car. Ce n'était pas celui de l'annonce car il était en réparation. Celui qu'on a eu nous correspondait plus par le nombre de lit. David est un hôte chaleureux et disponible. Je reviendrai vers lui sans hésiter pour un nouveau séjour

Bryndis and her family were wonderful hosts the place was close to some restaurants and the water. It is located in a peaceful section of Reykjavik and a great home base for activities around the capital. It is clean, spacious and the hosts were very responsive.

Wonderful location, just away from the "bustle" of Reykjavík, but only about 5-10 minutes drive away (and Reykjavík has plenty of parking). There's a bus not too far if you don't want to worry about drivint too! The nature reserve in the backyard is amazing, allowing pleasant walks along the paths, lake, and to the lighthouse. All the rooms are nice sized and made for an excellent place to come home to for relaxation, or cooking a meal if that's your thing (although the food in Reykjavík was fantastic).

A fantastic homely place to stay with our family including teenage grandchildren. Great local supermarket and bus service which meant we didn't need a car. Superb views including across the bay to see the erupting volcano! The BBQ and the hot tub were fabulous as was the weather. Outdoor living was just as good as indoors. Everything we needed in the kitchen was available including a well stocked fridge on our arrival. Plenty bedding and towels to facilitate changing everything during our stay.

The ocean view from this home was absolutely stunning. The location was great, with easy access to nearby restaurants and shops. The host was incredibly helpful. I had a wonderful stay!

We stayed wishing to catch the Northern Lights and we were lucky enough to do so each night and be there for a huge solar storm. We ventured out the first night and after that realized we were able to stay comfy at our airbnb and see them both in the front yard and backyard. The house was spacious and our children 7 & 1 loved the books and toys available. We were offered a portable crib and high chair which were convenient. There were plenty of novels for adults and a variety of books on Iceland. There is a washer and large drying rack, dishwasher, and full kitchen which was wonderful since it is a serene spot you can relax and not run down the road 15 minutes for food or coffee. I enjoyed walking the road to the church and admiring the horses next door. The location is remote and going to parks or the city required an hour drive. Our host was gracious and extended our check out which was helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

Sara’s place felt at home. We were comfortable. With 5 of us, 2 living spaces really helped. We are able to have our own spaces within the house. A relatively new home, fast internet and while it’s was super freezing out there, we were snug as a bug! Would happily return. Great communication too. 👍🏼

What a gorgeous place in a brilliant location. We were greeted by the northern lights as we arrived and the views over Reykjavík are amazing. The house had everything we needed for 9 people including 3 children. The washing machine was very useful and the space to dry all our boots and coats was great after a day of waterfall hunting. Would definitely stay again. Marianne was a great host.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit Blick direkt auf die Bucht. Die Wohnung hat alles, was man für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt benötigt, man kann es auch für länger aushalten. Da wir ein Auto hatten, kamen wir auch schnell überall hin, die öffentliche Erreichbarkeit können wir nicht beurteilen. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

I loved my stay here! This is my second time in Reykjavík and I would definitely come back to this apartment. It was in a good location, clean, quiet, and had a washer dryer, which was a huge plus. Not to mention there’s also free parking, which is an amazing amenity considering that the city is so expensive and it’s rare to find. The host was responsive for any questions I had and was always courteous. 5 stars!

Soggiorno indimenticabile in una tipica casa islandese. Atmosfera calda e tranquilla. Un'ottima base di partenza per poter visitare tutto il sud ovest dell'isola. Host amichevole e cordiale. A poca distanza da Reykjavik e da molte delle attrazioni turistiche, facilmente raggiungibili in auto. Nei pressi della fermata di autobus e del panificio Brikk, farmacia e centri commerciali. Parecchi ristoranti nella zona, tra cui il famoso Viking. Buoni anche il Krydd e cucina tipica al A.Hansen.

Harbor Apartment was a great place to stay! Walking distance to all the prime sights made it convenient, as well as the many restaurants. So convenient!! Host(s) were so responsive, as well as the information shared about the area, the apartment and the restaurant suggestions made our visit perfect! We definitely will return one day!

Snorri and Svava’s Airbnb was so cozy, clean, and in a great location near the city and next to the water. They were so responsive and friendly! I would stay again!

We had a great stay at Unnur's apartment. It was a perfect base for our adventures around Reykjavik. The location was very close to downtown (10min drive), walking distance to the Sky Lagoon (highly recommended) and having free parking was a lovely amenity. The apartment itself was lovely - bright, clean and well appointed - and the host, Unnur was excellent - very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a nice quiet location just outside of the city centre.

It was a memorable stay. Imagine you just moved in into your dream condo. Everything is new, clean, and well thought after. The place was spacious and immaculate. Anything you needed was right there for you. Beside that, Eydis was a great communicator and responded to massage within minutes. She offered for us to use any food in the fridge; which was very kind of her. Her flexibility with the check-in and the check-out time made our stay even better! We look forward to coming back again and soon 😊.
