It is part of a courtyard with a 17th century farmhouse (where Bernard the host lives), a deli, smokehouse and award-winning seafood restaurant. The house is between the A78 road and the Fairlie moors, where you can find walking and cycling routes with outstanding views of the Clyde coast. Ferries to Arran / Millport / Dunoon / Rothsay are close by (Ardrossan 15 minutes drive, Largs 10 minutes). Licence number NA00037F.

The property is cosy, well equipped and decorated to a high standard to ensure a comfortable stay. All pets are welcome. There is a log burning stove in the living room. Leac Na Sith means "Hearthstone of Tranquility"... it could not be a more appropriate name.

There's a lovely shingle beach at the foot of the lane and miles of secluded forest walks and cycle rides on the doorstep - the perfect base to escape the crowds and enjoy the beautiful west coast of Scotland.

Please bear in mind that there are steps up to up access the cottage from either door: thus, if you have reduced mobility, sadly, Oakdene may not be for you.
