Family-friendly vacation rentals in Glenview

Christine’s place was the perfect get-away for a family vacation close to home. The lake was beautiful and the place was spotless and inviting. It felt like you walked in to your own home. It’s close to places to eat and there is even a community space just a few houses down that is lively if the weather is nice. I’m hoping to come back again!

This was our second visit to Amanda’s and just like the first time, it left my boys with fun memories. We will be back next summer.

Amanda is the best host I’ve ever had, she is so friendly and responsive. Her kitchen was fully equipped, she gave us the option of having firewood delivered, the place is absolutely beautiful, you walk down some stairs to get to the beach. A group of 8 moms went there for a weekend getaway and it was exactly what we needed. Thank you!

We had a great stay at Delphine's place in Uptown. The location is excellent, being on a tree-lined street, but very close to the Red Line, the Broadway bus, Andersonville, Little Asia, grocery stores and more. As we had a little kid, being right on top of the little park downstairs was also very convenient. On the flipside, it can get noisy in the summer with lots of kids/playgroups coming there, but as parents, we didn't mind. Delphine herself was very quick to respond via Whatsapp to all our queries before and during our stay. One thing to keep in mind at her place is that you are very much living in their home. If you are looking for an apartment that is only intended for guests, this is not it. While it is plenty big as a 2BR/2BA, it is full of stuff, furniture, photos, books, toys, etc. They have made a very nice office space in the main living area, but the drawback is that the living area is now very cramped. The main bedroom has 2 queen size beds in it, which is a bit weird, so we just ended up using one bed to keep our clothes on. The other bedroom with bunk beds is excellent for kids and more spacious. So overall, a great place and a great stay, and especially good if you are a couple with 1 or 2 kids. Just a bit cramped and crowded with stuff. We stayed for 2 weeks.

Great trip! House was very clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. The host was very communicative and helpful throughout the stay and rules and guidelines were very helpful!

Very nice place to host our large family Christmas gathering. Plenty of room for everybody. The game room was very much appreciated and well used.

I’ve been to Chicago many times but never to Wrigley Field. This place was amazing, just what we needed! It was faster to walk (20 minute walk) to and from the concert at Wrigley Field than to drive and park, taxi or Lyft. I communicated with the host about safety of walking at night. No problem. I had sent a message and he called me immediately. And also gave me recommendations on food and shopping that were spot on! We met locals and had a blast! The neighborhood is quiet and easy to park (but you do need to be able to parallel park and no one in the area drives big vehicles,.. only a few minute drive to downtown (Navy Pier area or take the L train for fast and cheap transportation without the hassle of parking). We were busy the entire time in the Chicago area so didn’t spend much time at the Airbnb but it was quiet, we slept great and just what we needed!

Beautiful location, close to transit and very walkable to great lunch and coffee spots and a local grocery store. I especially appreciated all the details like gorgeous plants in every room and every utensil you might need for you r stay. Hosts were welcoming and provided excellent local recommendations.

Loved, loved, loved Liz and Martin's place. Beautiful, clean, comfortable, and within walking distance to the blue line. We were able to park our car and not have to get back in it for our entire stay. Great neighborhood with great restaurants and bars nearby. We would definitely stay with them again!

We loved this cute, Craftman-style apartment. It was so homey and well arranged, nicely furnished, and beautifully decorated that we seriously wanted to move in! The owners were very thoughtful about providing what visitors will need. (They even provided a spare umbrella!) Everything was exactly as described, and communication was friendly and prompt. The only issue we had was trying to find on-street parking. We had to park several blocks away and, sadly, our car was stolen from that parking spot. Otherwise, it was a lovely neighborhood and a convenient location. Despite the parking problems, I would stay there again.

Lovely flat, excellent collection of games and books. Very well stocked, super clean. Hosts were very friendly and responsive.

Tracy's home is clean, comfortable, and feels like a great home to return to when you are visiting Evanston. we didn't get a chance to cook in their fabulous kitchen, but I plan to next time!!

We both enjoyed choosing Susan’s residence, clean, quiet and just what we were hoping for. When we come back to town I hope we can stay at Susan’s again.

The location is perfect for getting to any part of Chicago. It's within walking distance of endless activities, and within one to two blocks of multiple "L" and subway lines that will take you anywhere. You are staying in the middle of the city, so you will hear the train and sirens throughout the night; however, the host provides disposable ear plugs which were very helpful. I had no problem sleeping throughout the night. Front desk staff is always friendly. The host is very responsive, and courteous. Washer and dryer in unit helped me with not having to pack as many cloths for my trip. Everything was spotless upon arrival. Would absolutely stay here again.

Amazing views from this stylish, modern apartment! There were so many amenities that gave a high end experience, including towel warmers, multi chargers in every room, high end TVs and so much more. Amanda was very responsive to our check-in questions and ensured we had the best experience. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and eclectic home. It was perfect for our group of girls visiting from all over the U.S to attend our HS Reunion. Plenty of lovely spaces to gather or a private, quiet nook to read or rest. The pool was wonderful. Beds were super comfortable. Kitchen was large enough and well stocked to prepare meals. Andy was very responsive with any issues or questions. Highly recommend!

Great location in downtown Chicago with easy access to the city.

A great stay right near a Main Street. Tons of options for going out but still quiet in your space. Warning. You will smell the BBQ restaurant and you will salivating.

Stephen was a great host. The grounds are beautiful! Very peaceful and quiet. The house is nice and cozy. I will definitely stay there again!

this the second time I've stayed at Amanda's. I purposely looked for her place again! The photos dont do it justice. This is literally the best Airbnb I have ever booked. And I travel for work --I've stayed at 100s of places (atleast it feels that way). Amanda's place is on top of the list of places I've stayed. I didn't want to leave.😶
