Harben Cottage is a 150 year old traditional stone cottage - 5mins drive from the Heritage Town of Ardara (20mins walk). Set amongst lush green hills & sitting next to a bubbling mountain stream. A mixture of new and old; low doorways, a turf fireplace, water supplied from a mountain spring, but also a gas cook top, oven, microwave, WIFI, & central heating. NB: that the toilet & shower are housed in outside annex - this may not suit everyone but adds a touch of authenticity for the brave!

We had a great stay! The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We did come across one minor issue, but it was handled quickly and professionally. Our host was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

The cottage was an amazing place to relax and unwind, perfectly clean and welcoming! The host provided a wonderful book of instructions and local destination descriptions. We highly recommend a stay at the cottage, including a trip to Dooey Beach (a secluded treasure!) and Eliot’s Friday night for some traditional music.

Carmel is a really charming and very caring host. Thanks again for the homemade cookies and bread, as well as the many thoughtful touches. The apartment is impeccably clean and you feel good. It is well located for traveling around this part of Donegal. We would highly recommend!

If you are looking for peace & quiet, THIS is the place. Just sheep around, nothing else. We loved it, so did our little dog. And Paddy was so welcoming and friendly, great host. But you need a car to get to shops etc. We will be back.
