This cabin was exactly as pictured, and exactly what my husband and I were looking for to have an escape from work. We enjoyed the firepit (David had wood and kindling at the ready), lounge chairs, and eating outdoors. We love birding, and our bird app identified dozens of species around the property. The place was sparkling clean. We enjoyed the windows surrounding the space, and spent time reading and watching movies on the Smart TV. WiFi was more than adequate. If you forget something, there is a Dollar General Market just down the road. There was produce, along with plenty of grocery items. We went to the George Washington Carver National Memorial and walking trail, which we both loved. We also went to Grand Falls south of Joplin. We had lunch at Undercliff Grill - fun! There is plenty to see and do in the area! David was fantastic! Responsive and friendly, but not pushy or hovering. We were able to meet him, and he is a great guy. We will be back! I already miss the river!

The house itself was so cute and charming, and the neighborhood felt equally lovely. We really appreciated how many different living spaces there were inside – it gave everyone in our group room to spread out and relax. The host went above and beyond by leaving us some snacks and a really thoughtful note, which was such a welcoming touch.

We had an exceptional experience at Joely's Airbnb in Fort Scott. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how immaculately clean, spacious, and beautifully built the home was. It offered incredible privacy, making it a truly serene retreat. This house was perfectly suited for our group of two couples and two children. Its location, just a few minutes outside the city, managed to feel completely removed, offering the best of both worlds. We're already looking forward to returning, perhaps when we can fully enjoy the inviting fire pit and spacious back deck, which we sadly didn't have time for on this trip. The thoughtful details, such as the high-quality appliances, ice balls, fireplace, and well kept patio and landscaping, truly elevated our stay. We highly recommend this private and serene haven!

We stayed at North Forty Lodge for my son’s graduation from Pitt State, and everything was fantastic! The home was better stocked than any Airbnb we've ever stayed at—every supply and staple you could think of was already there. The beds were super comfortable, and the loft setup gave both families their own space, which was perfect. The lodge itself is beautiful, peaceful, and has everything you need. Danny was a great host—responsive and welcoming. We only wish we could've stayed longer to enjoy more of the scenic outdoor areas of the property. Highly recommend!
