Guesthouse vacation rentals in Galveston Bay

My wife and I stayed at The Nook June 6-8, 2025 for a wedding. We could not speak more highly of our experience there. The property was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and in a great location. The hosts are wonderful people. We could not recommend The Nook any higher!

Great place to stay! Safe neighborhood, walkable to park and close to downtown. Matched photos and description with an easy check in and check out. Highly recommend!

I have not one complaint. It was perfect for my lifestyle, which is quiet in the evenings. Everything worked. Only suggestion would be a clock - I brought my own because I need digital with large numbers. Highly recommend for a super home away from home!

Kendra and Chris’s place was the perfect place to stay for my week-long visit to Houston. The location was incredibly central, with lots of great cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The place was nicely laid out, the bed was super comfy and it was really quiet. It was a safe neighbourhood and parking was easy. I’d stay here again in a heart beat! Thank you Kendra and Chris :)

Cuter than the pictures. Inviting and colorful courtyard area. Flexible check in and generous check out. Thoughtful touches such as water; popcorn snacks; black out curtains; and mugs in freezer. It’s 1/2 mile from the Strand. Bed and bedding was very comfortable.

Lovely little studio guesthouse in a beautiful neighborhood. Felt extremely safe and close by to a few coffee shops and restaurants. Even an uber wasn’t too much for something a little further away. Was able to find street parking even later into the night. Would definitely recommend!

This was the third time we’ve stayed at this location and will be again in the future, great place!

The visual instructions for how to enter the unit we're some of the clearest I've ever encountered on Airbnb, and I really appreciated that. the kitchen was well-equipped, and Phuong thoughtfully left some water and snacks. The bed is super comfortable! I really loved the neighborhood- nice walking paths and trees.

Very clean and well decorated! Looking forward to staying here again in the future!

The AirBnb was secluded which I liked and it wasn't far from any of the restaurants and lounges that me and my family visited. It was worth the stay.

awesome spot right near the beach! we enjoyed walking together just a few blocks to everything.. This location has a gate which made us feel safe to leave our vehicle while we spent time on the beach. would 100% stay here again

C&P Retreats, LLC’s guesthouse was nice for a one night stay and had everything I needed for such a short stay. There is a corner store with barbecue and tacos within a couple minutes walk. Other businesses will take longer to get to but there is also a bus route nearby if you happen to be there without a vehicle as I was. The accommodation was very clean and the bed was on the soft side with a quality mattress. It will be a bit bright in the mornings as the curtain on entry door is sheer so if you like sleeping in you might want coverings for your eyes. The property is well kept and I would certainly stay here again!

The house was very clean, beautiful, easy to find, and located in a great area. It was also very comfortable. The directions were very clear, and I really enjoyed my stay. Ben, thank you for letting us stay at your house — we’ll gladly book again in the future!

Overall,Nathan was very attentive and La Casita was great for a peaceful weekend getaway.5/5 experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a great Houston Airbnb located near the Heights.

Vicki was very friendly and went the extra step to help us settle in. The place was much better than many other ( excellent) places we’ve stayed. In summary, this place is perfect. Side note: there was some confusion getting in the gate. Ultimately my fault. But, AirB&B is to blame for flooding my inbox with 17 emails. More current emails would “tax onto” older emails and effectively hide the newer ones. Ergo, I couldn’t find the gate code when it was sent.

We loved Laura's "Casita" in the Heights. The neighborhood is very cool, with lots of good restaurants/groceries, but also veryconvenient to downtown Houston and museum district. Thanks to Laura's excellent communication and clear instructions, finding the house, parking and getting inside were a breeze. Check-in and check-out were so easy. The living room was comfortably and colorfully furnished. Lots of warm, natural light without compromising any privacy, a very inviting and "homey" feeling. The kitchen was well appointed with lots of counter space and nice appliances, and all the cookware and tableware you'd need. The bedrooms were clean and cozy, with comfortable mattresses and nice bedding. They were also very quiet, so we slept well. The bathrooms were clean, and the shower in the primary bath was a treat. Everything (central a/c, TV, wifi, hot water, ceiling fans) worked like it should. I would absolutely book here again for a short or long stay. Five stars - highly recommend!

Nicole’s place was perfection from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a beautiful welcome sign, thoughtful snacks, and a home that was absolutely spotless — I mean, spic-and-span like a model home clean. Every single detail was so well thought out, you could feel the care she put into making the stay special. The bathrooms were pristine, the kitchen gleamed, and don’t even get me started on the bed — it was heavenly! I slept like royalty and honestly didn’t want to leave the comfort of that mattress. Nicole herself was a dream host — super responsive, incredibly friendly, and a true expert on everything Houston has to offer. The neighborhood was peaceful, Ubers were cheap, and we were close to everything we wanted to do. This was hands-down one of the BEST Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. As long as Nicole’s unit is available, I won’t even think about staying anywhere else in Houston. 1000/10 recommend — she set the bar pretty high!

We needed to book a last minute quick stay in the Houston area. Luckily Robert’s guest house was available. We are not familiar with the area. Safety and privacy was my #1 concern. This guest house has driveway parking, a tall gate controlled by a remote, motion sensor lights, and plenty of security cameras. For those who love gardening, the greenery around the guesthouse is beautiful. The washer / dryer was perfect and we were able to wash / dry all of our clothing in 30 mins. I’ve never had Nespresso before, but there were some pods available for us and it was delicious! I’m super happy this guest house was available and appreciate all of Robert & Alexis’ hard work making this feel like a home away from home for their guests.

I have stayed here numerous times. There is a reason I keep coming back, it’s just a great place to stay.

Wonderful stay! I wish I was still there. I was able to walk to great restaurants and happy hours (try Better Luck Tomorrow). Wonderfully green, quiet neighbourhood. The space was very comfortable, I felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated the washing machine. I hope to be back. :)

This airbnb was beautiful and super clean! And the location was perfect! I was able to walk to a lot of nearby restaurants/businesses. I will definitely rebook it next time i’m in Houston :)

We were tired after a wine dinner in the Heights. It was convenient to drive only a few miles to crash for the night. It was very nice, quiet and clean! We will absolutely request this place again if Toby will have us. Thank you Toby! Randy & Rhonda Burkhalter
