First, Eva was awesome. Responsive, offered recommendations and friendly. Super host. Casa Aurora was a great place to stay for a night. We decided last minute to split the walk between Padron and Santiago. Casa Aurora was a great halfway point. Very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Two full baths and a washer and dryer (for a few euros). Wi-Fi worked perfectly as well. A few restaurants are walkable and the two we visited were very good. Plus, if you are also a birdwatcher, the backyard is very birdy. Nice bonus!

A well-lit hallway is bordered by wooden doors, leading to various rooms. The floor is adorned with polished hardwood, reflecting soft overhead lighting. Light colors on the walls create an airy atmosphere, enhancing the spacious feel of the corridor.

The location sent by Airbnb wasn’t correct and sent us in the wrong direction but we contacted Miguel and he immediately sent a dropped pin and guided us in. The house is extremely private with a lovely garden and pool and lots of outdoor seating. It’s great for Santiago airport which is only about 20 mins away by car (though you can’t hear any planes from the garden), as is the railway station (you can hire a car at both). The whole area is lush and green - mountains covered in forests. Many beaches an hour away or less. Just stunning. And Santiago de Compostela is beautiful and there always seemed to be something happening there - outdoor concerts etc. The house was spotless when we arrived and has the best showers! The local town Bertamiráns has a good supermarket with an everything you need and very friendly and helpful staff. Miguel was always available for any queries we had. Just a lovely, relaxing holiday.
