The Pecan Cabin is in the middle of a pecan orchard. It is built out of pecan wood. There is much wildlife around the cabin. We often see deer, wild turkeys, armadillo, squirrels, hawks, racoon, and coyote. It is very quiet and peaceful. A great place for star gazing. This is a working pecan orchard. You may see us, mowing, pruning and generally taking care of the trees. There is no hunting on this property. The land is leased for hunting, but they do not hunt in the pecan grove.

Perfect little place for a couple or small family. The whole house was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with snacks which was really nice. We had an issue late at night (our fault not the host) and she responded very quickly and helped us through it. Price is very reasonable compared to hotels in the area. And just for people that aren’t familiar with small towns in Oklahoma, the neighborhood may look a little old and rundown, but that doesn’t mean it’s unsafe. We mainly booked this place mainly to sleep at night while we visit family during the day. The neighborhood was quiet. No noise from traffic or the neighbors so we slept good.

We had a wonderful time and felt immediately at home. Right when we walked in we read the personal card that was left for us, welcoming to our home away from home! The kids enjoyed the thoughtful treats that were left. The beds are comfortable with the perfect amount of blankets. We would definitely stay here again and appreciate the thoughtfulness and attention that is put into this home :)

Maybe the best thing I can say is that when I stayed at Cranberry Cottage I felt like a treasured guest in a special family weekend place that is special to them rather than feeling like a guest in an investment property. I loved my stay! There was a place for everything and everything in its place with no clutter. Everything I could have needed was there from black makeup washcloths to stuff for coffee and yummy lemon bread and strawberries greeting me upon arrival. Cynthia was so responsive, even at 11:30 at night when a neighbor's burn pile seemed out of control! I accidentally left with a piece of tupperware and Cynthia was so understanding. I hope I will be back in the area so I can stay there again!
