We wanted a place where our family could connect, the children could experience a different way of life (we’re townies!) and our lungs could fill with fresh air. Moonacre Yurt hit the spot!! Surrounded by chickens, cows and Mother Nature, we soaked up as much of the atmosphere and Dide’s knowledge as possible. What a wonderful host, encouraging the kids to collect fresh eggs and talking to them about biodynamic farming, such a pleasure! Not a place for those of you wanting creature comforts (compost toilet, walk outside the yurt to get to bathroom and kitchen) but oh so wonderful for a snippet of the good life...

A Perfect Family Getaway at the Buzzard Yurt Our recent stay at the Buzzard Yurt was nothing short of fantastic! My wife, two children, and two dogs had a wonderful time in this beautiful location. The yurt itself was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need for a cozy stay. The attention to detail was impressive, and it’s clear that the hosts have thought of everything to make guests feel at home. The facilities were top-notch, with the showers being particularly fab – a real treat after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings. The setting is both peaceful and picturesque, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing break. A special mention must go to the hosts, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. I had an interview scheduled during our stay, and they kindly allowed me to use the office in their house, which was a huge help. Their hospitality truly made our stay even more enjoy

Despite the weather taking a turn and it being incredibly wet most the weekend, we throughly enjoyed our stay at the yurt. The yurt itself is very cosy. We bought our projector and screen so we could snuggle up and watch some films with the wood burner going, and the sound of the rain just made it that bit cosier. We loved the hot tub, though we only used it one of the nights we stayed. The farm shop on site is such a fabulous perk of staying here, we grabbed some nice beers/posh vodka, and snacks and nibbly bits, and we popped in and checked out the vintage/antique shop too. Being so close to the farm animals was also really sweet and we both loved the pig. Overall we made the most of our stay and had a really lovely time.

We spent 2 lovely nights in the yurt, which could have been a challenge since it is January! But everything was super, despite snow and rain and minus temperatures! It is very peaceful, pretty isolated with amazing views and sunsets. It is 'back to basics' - but as described. The outdoor kitchen was fun, and had most things we needed. The fire 'pit' has a grill and there was plenty of wood and kindling. We did bring our own chairs (lots of log seating, but all a bit damp in winter). The water had frozen when we arrived but Rosie left us 2 large cartons of water, so all good. And the yurt was toasty once we lit the indoor burner. Woods are full of wildlife, spotted 2 deer and an owl... and heard much more. Will be back in the warmer months for sure!

Gorgeous setting, right next to a stream and a field of sheep! Personally I found that really comforting. The yurt itself was big, and furnished well. There was another yurt on the site, but far away enough so that we were still secluded. Easy to check in, no problems there, very relaxed and private.

We really enjoyed our long weekend in the yurt. The yurt was brilliant, really nice and cosy. There was lots of space for the kids to run around. Verity was great and provided lots of local recommendations, which was really useful. She even let the kids help feed the goats. We will definitely be going back.

Absolutely fantastic stay at the yurt. We had such a brilliant time at this yurt! It was fully equipped with all the essentials, and the extra touches were just lovely- hot water bottles, chutney, fresh milk and plenty more made our stay even better. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we felt incredibly comfortable throughout our visit. The setting itself was stunning; we loved watching the wildlife just outside our door and spending our evenings by the fire pit. The log burner kept us toasty warm inside, which was perfect after a day out exploring. We also enjoyed a fantastic breakfast at the Garlic Farm, which was the cherry on the top of our stay. We can’t recommend this place highly enough! If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, this is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay! Amanda and Tom are great hosts warm and welcoming, the yurt and camp is incredible with everything you could need for a great country stay we throughly enjoyed making the most of the facilities provided being back to nature felt easy with eco features including solar shower and lighting, the bed is one of the best we have stayed in with quality local bedding! We loved the cast iron kettle pots pans and washing equipment! The sausages and homemade cider were an enjoyable highlight fresh wild flowers on arrival along with hot chocolate poping corns teas coffee milk butter homemade bread were all wonderful! I would recommend to anyone that’s thinking of booking a stay! You will not be disappointed! Remember to take time out in the meadow to appreciate the gorgeous glittery sky filled with stars! We are local to the area and walk past Kate and Dave's regularly and always comment on how lovely it looks, so it made sense to book for a birthday weekend celebration. The yert at Deers leap is the perfect setting for nature lovers, it has everything you need for a truly wonderful break. I'm sure we will be staying again in the future.

Grant and Olivia are fantastic hosts, their property is absolutely amazing and we can’t wait to return ☺️ had the best couple of days and really had a feeling of peace there!! Highly recommend

We had a truly wonderful stay! The location is serene and peaceful — the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. We especially enjoyed the time spent outdoors, surrounded by beautiful scenery and fresh air. The barbecue setup was fantastic and made for a memorable evening under the stars. Everything was well-prepared and thoughtfully arranged. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing escape in nature!

This is glamping at it’s best. All the benefits of getting away from it all and back to basics in the countryside, with the luxury of home comforts in a beautiful private peaceful setting. Sam & Rich had thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay. The biscuits and cider on arrival was a lovely welcome. There’s so much to do on the doorstep; walking, beach days and great food. We hope to come back in the future.

We had an amazing stay in this luxury yurt. It was just as beautiful as the pictures and the kids were super excited by the games, sleeping arrangement and the outdoor baths (which were exquisite). The location is brilliant, overlooking the sea, walking distance to a great pub and the whole island is easy to get around. I hope we can come back again sometime and maybe enjoy some treatments!

An amazing place to stay. James was very proactive and made sure we had everything needed. It was a nice touch to have a bottle of fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge. The yurt has got everything you need for a break away. The beds are very comfy, the bathroom on the side is clean and the shower is nicely hot (you really do need it when the weather fails you!). The surroundings are to kill for. I was waking up to a sunset with deers running around. Can’t ask for anything else with my morning coffee 😊 Kids and I are already planning another weekend away at the yurt.

We had an great weekend at the magical yurt. The yurt itself was excellent and the children loved it. It was clean and comfortable and check in was easy. The grounds were perfect for our young children and there was so much for them to do. The only negative point is that there was a wedding being held at the main property next door on the first night and it was very noisy. Children from the function were in the garden until way past the noise curfew of 9pm, this made it difficult for us to get the children settled and prevented us from getting to sleep after a long day. It would have been nice to have been notified of this event prior to our arrival so we knew what to expect. If there is going to be a curfew, this should be adhered to by everyone. The host did apologise the following day and the second night was quiet and tranqil. Overall we had an amazing time and would be likely to return. It is fantastic

We had a great break at the Nest! The Yurt was so well equipped and put together, with lots of little touches and well thought out amenities. The garden area was lovely and perfect for our dog to explore, safe in the knowledge it was fully secure. Camilla was a great host and gave us lots of local recommendations. There’s lots within a short drive so was a great location to explore from. We really hope to be back as 2 nights didn’t feel enough here!

On arrival we were met by Sharon who kindly helped us to the Yurt on the golf buggy. The Yurt was beautiful and exactly how it was listed on the booking. The hot tub was fantastic and the shower room was lovely and warm and immaculate. The whole atmosphere was friendly, the owner Mark was fantastic and always happy to help. We ate at a local pub recommended to us which was delightful. Thank you all for your hospitality and the Christmas tree on checking out. We will definitely stay again.

We had the best time at Tim's place! The location exceeded our expectations, it was so peaceful with loads to do and we even saw the resident deer a couple of times. We had a hammock, swings for the kids, a badminton court, firepit area with loads of wood. But make sure you are up for a steep walk to and from the car park as not suited for people with any knee or ankle issues. The yurt was spectacular too with everything you would expect and the furnishings are beautiful 🐝! Thank you Tim for a lovely stay!

The place is so nice especially with nature lovers, secure and we have a privacy. Angus is approachable, quick to response with our messages. We really enjoyed staying in Angus place. We were thankful for extra bonus the 5 free range eggs.

We had a lovely stay over East at the yurt, our 3 girls enjoyed roaming the grounds. Emma and Hugh were super accommodating and provided an early check in as we were in town earlier than expected, thank you for a lovely stay!

The yurt was absolutely beautiful. A very lovely space beautifully decorated.

Our yurt stay was magical—peaceful sky views from bed, cosy warmth, and thoughtful design. My son adored the comfy bed and soft rug, and the wood burner made evenings perfect. The shower- Majestic.Heavenly.Divine. The outdoor kitchen kept family time going through dinner prep—fully equipped and easy to use, luxurious. The record player was a sweet touch (bringing records next time!). We barely needed our supplies—towels, robes, coffee, air fryer, hot plate, and every pot and pan were provided. The wild swimming lake was clean and clear, with soft water and tadpoles resting in the shallows. A swing on a giant oak, deer wandering the land—it felt like a fairytale. Amanda and Rob were kind, relaxed, and attentive, with a strong sense of care and safety. Our son was totally at ease—he thrived in the calm. This place is magic. We’ll be back.

I absolutely loved this little retreat. It's set in a really peaceful rural location, but within walking distance to town, pubs, shops etc. It's on a little lane which has a great circular walk down to the waterside. We loved the little fenced garden so the dog can have some freedom, and it has all of the amenities that we could have wanted. The hot tub was such a welcome indulgence. Great value for money and wonderful host.
