Cabin vacation rentals in Danbury

My group of 6 had a fantastic weekend stay at Marla’s place! Marla was very communicative prior to our arrival, and instructions were clear on check in, the hot tub, and check out. The cabin was spacious with plenty of room for 6 adults to socialize together or spread out either inside or outside. The photos and descriptions are accurate- I felt we got exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed gathering inside around the table, outside on the deck, around the fire, and down on the beach. The beach was sandy and clear- a huge bonus. I would recommend Marla’s for both adults and families with kids.

Our family thrived at Liz’s cabin! The river was perfect for my younger kids—calm and shallow in most areas, great for first-time kayakers. For more adventure, we tried paddling upstream, which was a fun challenge and a great life lesson in perseverance! Downstream and around the cabin is smooth and peaceful, perfect for kids. I recommend bringing a cooler with simple meal ingredients. I packed sandwich supplies but wished I’d brought more—vodka pasta would be ideal here! I made a quick run into town for spaghetti, but options are limited (as Liz notes in her very helpful guide). We also had dinner at Pokegama Lakeside—great food, a beautiful lake view, and an authentic Native American canoe on display! Liz has created a truly magical place. The natural landscaping, cozy cabin details, and high-quality linens made it so comfortable. Thank you, Liz, for such a special stay!

Absolutely exceptional cabin in rural Wisconsin! The space was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel cozy and luxurious. We had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub and watching the beavers by the water—such a peaceful and unique experience. Highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin! Our family felt right at home. We brought our own boat- the ramp is close and private dock was perfect! Would highly recommend this cabin! 😊

Very peaceful getaway from the city. Exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. The property is beautiful and the home had everything we needed. Loved the open floor plan, comfy couches and fireplace. We enjoyed the sauna and cold plunging in the lake. The host was very accommodating of our dogs and they thoroughly enjoyed our stay as well. We hope to be back again very soon!

Awesome host! Was only there for a quick visit with coworkers but this would be a PERFECT retreat for an outdoorsy family. Will book again!

This cabin is really nice. They have quality amenities. The owner was very responsive. It was a relaxing girls trip. The beds are really comfortable and all around very homey. 10/10 would recommend.

Enjoyed the sauna, kids love the bunk bed. The mattress wasn’t the most comfortable for me. The place is not fancy but was private, nice porch, fire pit and adequate kitchen. Worked for what we needed.

Jeff was very accommodating with any of our needs/requests, and the location was perfect for our trip requirements. The kitchen is well stocked for any cooking you may wish to do during your stay as well, removing the need to go out to eat if you wish to. My familey and I look forward to another stay here everytime we will be visiting in the area in the future!

It's always enjoyable having a host that communicates effectively; Kaity was one of those hosts. Her welcome note was thorough and provided all the information we needed for both check-in and check-out. The home is adorable. The massive windows in the main gathering space gave you the 'full north woods' feel. Kitchen is smallish but we certainly appreciated how well stocked it was with all the appropriate cooking utensils. Providing a drip coffee pot and pour over was a great touch; we used them both. Bed mattresses were awesome - nice and firm. We were there for the mountain biking and boy did we have fun on so many of the nearby trails. Bottom line: It's a nice place to getaway to.

Brian’s place is very clean and nice. Brian was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond. Overall, we had a great time and I hope to stay again.

We had a very fun time and Keith and Sara were helpful when we had any questions. The area is beautiful and canoeing on the lake is a must!

The amenities were top-notch, and the views were simply breathtaking. Whether we were relaxing inside or enjoying the outdoors, everything was just perfect. We had a great weekend away here! The house and surrounding area is peaceful with very easy access to the river. It is also well stocked with plenty to keep you occupied - kayaks, fireplace, a small book library, games, puzzles, and movies. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to return again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Scott & Susie's place! Very homey and lots of room! Felt very private with lots of sleeping space. Not too far for our ski trip to Spirit MT. Our grandson loved the game room! A well stocked kitchen and really nice to have a cozy warm fire place! Would stay here again!

The hideaway is exactly that! Tucked away in a peaceful & quiet area right on Point Lake. Plenty of fun things to do without leaving the home, like kayaking, yard games, fire pits & more and if you do leave, the home is close grocery stores, hiking trails, gas stations & more. The hosts were very responsive with messages and instructions on how to get to the home. My hubby & I enjoyed having coffee with a lake view and kayaking around the little island in the lake, we also loved all the hiking trails nearby. Overall, it’s the perfect getaway!

We have only come in the warmer months so this was a real treat to come in the winter. Easy to use indoor fireplace and kitchen has everything we needed. Grocery store either in Hinckley or Danbury. We went snowshoeing right after a snowfall. It was beautiful and got a bit lost; we should've brought a map that is provided in the cabin...We called and owners immediately helped us by co.ing to rescue us from the trails around Beaver Pond. We will be back this summer and again next Winter!!!

This was our second stay at this beautiful lake house, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered! Even though the weather wasn’t perfect this time, the house more than made up for it—it’s modern, clean, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. We really appreciated the hosts' recommendation to check out the local indoor pool, which was a fun way to spend a rainy few hours. The lake is incredibly clear and peaceful—such a calming view to wake up to. Our kids had a blast fishing and paddling around in the paddle boat. The whole trip flew by way too fast, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again. A new local favorite for us this trip was Redemption Cafe—an absolutely adorable outdoor spot that’s perfect for a coffee break, ice cream, and antiques. Highly recommend stopping by! This house continues to be a special retreat for our family!

the place is perfect for outdoor lovers. you really have everything you need and a bit more to just get in the lake for fishing and exploring. the kitchen has all the utensils and utilities (minus dishwasher) you need to prepare your food or even bake. the place is amazing for hiking as well. the house is next to the road but it’s not a very busy road. you’d hear a truck or so driving by but not a regular car. we’re ready to come back later in the year!

We enjoyed our stay as it had most everything we needed to stay there and make meals. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots and pans, dishes, glasses. It was missing paper towels and it napkins. Could have used directions to using the stove but we figured it out eventually. There was one ATV trails real close to the house and then in Danbury the owner of Throttle RX was very helpful with a map and directions on how to get on other trails. We were lucky to have good weather. thanks for sharing your cabin.

Stefan’s place was extremely clean and well kept. It was everything he said it would be. He was a very accommodating host and communicated very well. We can’t say enough good things about our experience. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you very much Stefen !!!

We stayed here for Mother's Day weekend and it was everything I could have asked for. Private and peaceful with beautiful lake views. Jeff was very responsive and sent us all the necessary instructions prior to checking in. The house and property were exactly what I expected from the pictures.
