Our family truly enjoyed our stay in Altdorf! It was a great place to stay to access many of the beautiful areas of Switzerland. Our living space was just as pictured in the photos with plenty of room for the three of us. The common area was spacious and had all of the amenities we were looking for including an open living space and kitchen. The bedrooms were cozy, too! We also appreciated that we had a washer and dryer which came in handy. Parking was in a safe, underground garage a short walking distance from our building. We were also surrounded by shops, restaurants and Coop supermarket which was convenient. I also have to say that our host was so kind and responsive with great communication! We felt welcomed and supported throughout our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a wonderful place to stay and experience the beautiful country of Switzerland!

What a wonderful stay! The place felt literally like home warm, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches that made our time in Melchtal so special. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. The location is stunning, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing or exploring nearby areas. Sophia and Alain were such lovely hosts kind, responsive, and genuinely caring. We truly felt welcomed from the first message. We’re leaving with beautiful memories and would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!

A beautiful house designed by the host himself. It has a great view of the lake from the breakfast area. Daniel and Susanne were very warm and accommodating - thank you for going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We also enjoyed the meals prepared by Susanne. We would recommend staying at their house in Weggis and the ferry ride from Lucerne is an experience by itself!

Max’s place was awesome. The house was well organised, furniture was uncluttered and bathroom was spotless. We felt right at home. There are many places to have lunch/dinner if you go down the hill on the train station road. The room size was big enough for 2-3 people and the view from room windows was to die for!! I would surely want to visit this place again. The only caveat is, please try to consider this place if you are fit enough to walk uphill with your luggage or if you have a car (own/cab) to reach this place, as its uphill and I struggled to pull 4 bags from train station right upto the hill (as I did not get cab post 5pm).

It was a very peaceful and beautiful place surrounded with mountains and lush green fields. You wake upto the sound of cowbells. The place is a 15 min walk from the station and can be a little tedious if you have a lot of luggage. The host, Freddy, was really welcoming and helpful. He guided us about the routes and even suggested scenic places to visit. We stayed there for 4 nights. Overall we had a great experience and good time with Freddy.

Our second trip to Switzerland and this was our first stop on the trip. We were blown away with the view! This place has it all. Views out of every window, radiant heat, hiking trails galore and everything you need for comfort. The duvets were like giant, soft puffy clouds! There is a restaurant literally right outside your door and nothing else but trails to different locations. Be mindful that the gondola to get here on runs from 8:30am-5-30pm so plan accordingly or you'll have a grueling 1.5-2 hour walk from the bottom. You cannot get here by car. We loved that part! Another pro tip - The 10 minute walk from the gondola to the cottage is a gravel road. We had to drag our suitcases to and from. It's uphill back to the gondola. But none of that will matter when you see the views from the gravel path and the living room window! This place is heaven on earth. Bettina was always quick to respond and super friendly. She made everything seamless! Book it!!
