House vacation rentals in Cuyahoga River

The owners were very responsive and the home is a nice place to relax after a long day. An easy drive into Cleveland if that’s what your trip requires.

All the reviews are accurate. Well maintained unit and property. Lots of amenities. VERY clean. Nice decorations to go with the lake theme. Putt -Putt and ice cream across the street. Friendly and responsive owner and manager. It was a great place for three couples to celebrate turning 60. Planning on returning in October! THANKS!! (Binoculars were a nice touch) we stayed on property, so we did not use it, but reasonably priced transportation to the wineries or bars...better than a DUI.

We had an enjoyable stay! The house was very clean and had everything we could need away from home for 2 nights. The pool was 80 degrees and perfect for our kids!

This was the second time we stayed at this location. We cannot say enough how great this rental is!! Everything is spotlessly clean. The fenced in backyard is great. Rob keeps the pool and hot tub in pristine condition. The fire pit in the back yard is great to sit around at night. We were very lucky to have perfect weather the entire week and were able to enjoy the pool and hot tub every day. The location is central to all the wineries and covered bridges. This year we were able to meet Rob when he stopped out to clean the pool...what a nice guy...really enjoyed meeting and talking with him. This is a definite 5 star plus location. The only negative thing and is something that Rob and Cassie have no control over, is the constant barking of the 3 large dogs in the adjacent yard. The only positive thing about them is that you will not need an alarm clock as the dogs will wake you up precisely at 7:30 every morning. Otherwise, a perfect place to stay!!!

Our stay was great we enjoyed the hot tub and the games that were in the house. We also loved the kitchen and how big the sofa was. Can’t forget how comfy the beds were. Definitely would stay again.

This was a great weekend and Mark did such a great job communicating and answering back to me with my questions. This was a beautiful home and perfect weekend.

Words don’t even describe how fantastic this house is. Beautiful, clean, well stocked, quiet and secluded but close to town. The bedroom had so much space and the best views of the lake. One of the most comfortable beds we have encountered while traveling. Having the lake and dock right there was perfection for me. I’m such a water person and having time on the kayaks in the afternoon and following up with a fire made for most relaxing day. It was truly hard not to stay a couple of extra nights. We also had the opportunity to meet Kristen and Phillip while kayaking and they are just the nicest of people. All around a perfect stay. We will 1000% be staying again.

The Gathering Place is a true gem in a charming town! Nestled in a picturesque area, it offers easy access to the stunning hiking trails of Cuyahoga National Park, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers. The nearby Fishers restaurant, just a short walk away, serves excellent food with outstanding service. The home itself is beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable, featuring a lovely outdoor area perfect for relaxation. Host Richard was exceptionally friendly and responsive, ensuring our stay was nothing short of delightful. If I find myself in the area again, I will definitely return here. Additionally, the Peninsula Coffee House is a fantastic stop for a delightful coffee break. Overall, The Gathering Place offers an exceptional experience that combines comfort, convenience, and natural beauty. Highly recommended!

What a charming house! Great place to stay if you’re visiting CVNP. You can walk to downtown Peninsula to enjoy antiquing, good coffee and a few restaurants. Overall the house is great and as pictured. The TV is nice and large, WiFi is fast and reliable. The home was very clean when we arrived, and the hot tub is nice! The downstairs bath is a bit tucked away and the only shower is the claw-foot tub (as described), which was a bit small. Beds are very comfortable. It was so nice to have a high chair available for our daughter to use. Overall this was a nice place to stay and we had a great trip!

Lovely spot in a quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable and clean. Fenced/gated yard meant we didn’t need to unload the car and the dog had space to romp. Will stay again the next time we pass through!

Beautiful location with a flower farm to complete the backdrop, the comfort of country living just a short drive from town. The front porch swing pairs perfectly with a morning coffee or a quiet evening with your significant other.

We had a great time at this Airbnb. The back yard and game room are such an awesome bonus to this beautiful home. The snacks and coffee and phone charges were a nice added touch. I would definitely recommend this home.

This was our second stay and it was just as comfortable as the last time. Beautiful location, welcoming front porch and great parking. Airy, modern, well lit, ceiling fans, plenty of windows, well stocked (even batteries for smoke detector that began to chirp in the middle of the night), air and heat controllable. Bedrooms are large, plenty of closet space and decorated so pretty, even books to read if you forgot yours. Very convenient to our venue in Akron, shopping, downtown and food. Any concerns we had were minimal and Mara responded promptly. We hope to book for the same time next year, it feels like our home away from home.

It was very spacious and we used the dining table as our office. Paula the host was very friendly and accommodating. We had a situation that needed her immediate attention and she was quick to respond and jump into action. We will continue to prioritize her properties when looking for accommodations in the Cleveland area.

We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to be back! Loved waking up to a peaceful backyard and watching the horses graze. Nice hot tub to soak in at night. Bedrooms were comfortable. The location was the best part- so easy to get to Cuyahoga Valley NP to explore!

The house is a mid-century classic with a recent renovation. The home has a large yard, so there are places for people to get away and sit and relax. The "central hub" is in the center of the house, flanked by the bedrooms, where you can eat and hang out. The outside patio is also a great place to hang. New appliances, countertops, etc. Everyone in our group slept well, and while the house is somewhat on a busy road, it was very quiet at night. You are very nearby pizza, bbq, sushi, and ice cream, among others, if cooking is not your thing. I would definitely return. Thank you to the hosts!!!!
