Beach house vacation rentals in Costa Mesa

Had a lovely 15 night stay. Came from england with my mum and partner to surprise my uncle who lives in huntington beach for his 80th birthday. Lovely area and place. Not a good idea if you dont have a car and want to do 'touristy things' as everything is quite far away. We racked up 1500 miles in 2 weeks! But we would still go back. Maybe not ideal if you are a light sleeper as we were woken by upstairs who were up around 5am every morning. We could hear every foot step. But otherwise the area was quiet. The beach being just a few mins walk away was perfect. Also there is a supermarket just around the corner too. Also if you get the chance, check out the pirate house on 35th street!! (Its on google) its just a short walk away (2 streets) and well worth a look! All in all we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it. Sofas and beds were comfy. Shower was hot. Lots of tv channels and netflix too! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.

The place was very nice, clean, and close to lots of restaurants. I wish it had been the upstairs unit, with not much space between the sliding door, the wall, and pedestrians walking by it was a little too close for comfort for me, otherwise it was a great condo. The hosts were very communicative. I have one CON, that bed is HARD AS A ROCK! But if you like a firm bed then it will work fine for you.

Adorable place w nice finishes and super close to the beach. It’s in a great location with lots of bustle. We loved sitting on the little patio. All of Lisa’s instructions were super clear and specific. She was very responsive in bringing us more wine glasses when we noticed there was just one.

Loved the location on the peninsula. We were able to walk to the beach, to restaurants and really enjoyed being able to use the rooftop deck. Beds were super comfortable and the place was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It was very helpful also to have the garage for our car and e-bikes since parking is such a challenge in that area. Appreciated our host being available for any questions on arrival and throughout our stay. Hope to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at this beach house! The place was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location, just a few feet from the beach, which made it super convenient for daily walks and beach time. The house was well stocked with everything you could possibly need for a day at the beach, which was a huge plus. Sean was a great host, very responsive and provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and things to do in the area. Would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed staying at Annette's place. Great location just steps from Laguna Coffee Co, tons of restaurants (Nick's was our favorite) and the beach. The unit has lots of light and looks like the photos. We enjoyed the hot tub and grilling on the patio. Master bed was comfy. Communication was very good, and Annette went out of her way to provide helpful recommendations on hiking in the area. Definitely recommend.

The PERFECT place!! Location. Location. Location. Clean. Responsive. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. It had it all. Parking for 2nd vehicle was a challenge but really not that bad. Neighborhood was super safe and plenty to do and walking distance. Truly amazing in every way. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place and well-equipped. Quiet, good views, close to the farmer's market. Short walk to downtown, coffee, restaurants. The neighborhood is friendly. We parked the car and didn't drive again. The Laguna Beach trolley takes you everywhere. Hill is no big thing !

We had a wonderful visit at Mai's place. The kitchen had everything necessary to prepare our meals and we appreciated the amenities stocked (salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, etc). Rooms were as described and we found it very spacious for a family of 6 adults and 3 young children. Our family really enjoyed the outdoor space, especially the Koi pond sitting area. The pool was very clean and we all enjoyed our time there, especially the kids. We made use of the BBQ and had no problems getting it started. Our only suggestion would be to update the instructions for the pool as it appears the host controls this via wifi and that is not stated in the instructions for use. Overall, we loved our stay and would not hesitate to visit again! Thank you to Mike & Mai for promptly responding to any of inquiries during the stay.

We had a great stay! The house is very spacious and had all the basics we needed. I loved having enough room and closet space to totally unpack my clothes! It was wonderful to be walking distance to the beach as well as shops and restaurants, and just a short drive away from Downtown. I appreciated that there were also kid-friendly touches like plastic cups and plates, and our seven year old daughter loved the pool.

Had a wonderful stay at DJ and Brandee’s home last weekend while my mom and I were in town for the Surf City Half Marathon! The house is gorgeous and comfortable with fantastic amenities - everything was as described. It’s a short walk to downtown and was perfect location for us to get to the starting line. The pool and their big comfy couch were perfect for our post-race recovery. The kitchen is awesome; I loved cooking in it. DJ and Brandee were fantastic hosts — always responsive and kind. Really appreciated their hospitality and highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. Thank you!!!

We stayed here for our spring break with my 6 kids. Ages 23-5. We are not partiers just a family get away to relax and cook together. We booked this place based on the pool and it was worth it for us. The previous reviews were alarming about quiet hrs and it being strict but we had no problem and stayed in the pool till 945 at night. I did tell me younger 3 kids to be quiet at night to be respectful and they were for the most part but definitely got loud with their voice a few times. Great house no complaints beds were very comfy!

We usually stay at 5 star hotels in area but decided to try a home in light of our longer term stay. Fortunately, this home on west side of Pac-1, became available during our scheduled trip. Jynel's home met all of our interests and requirements: close walking distance to beach, a pool, easy access to town, comfortable layout, good parking, TV and a view of ocean. Jynel was very responsive to my questions during stay. Kitchen was well stocked and high-end coffee maker was nice touch and avoided having to go elsewhere. Host might consider adding a key for backdoor as easier to enter after beach. Although, we rarely stay at ABNB's or other online booked private homes, we thought Jynel's pricing was a good value; however, the cleaning fees should be a pricing range tied to each tenant circumstances determined post-stay) and ABNB's fees are still excessively high at 15%. In any case, Jynel should remain a superhost.

Sue’s place was perfect for my large family and I!!! We truly enjoyed being there and felt at home. The kitchen was very well equipped so we can make great meals! The area was phenomenal! If we ever came back, we’d definitely book here again!

the listing is accurate in all ways, and the place was spotlessly clean, had all manner of amenities and was well stocked for an easy stay. Use of the garage made going and coming a breeze. We paid extra for pool and spa heating, and had a great time using those. thank you, Denise!

Lovely and peaceful place. Beach and shops are a short walk away. Walking home at night felt safe. Toiletries and snacks were a nice touch that came in handy. I made good use of the skateboard, too. Shower is not built for the tall. Would happily stay again.

We checked in for our 4 night stay at the Ritter on 6th street, it was easy to find, parking in the driveway, (which is amazing, for long beach ) we come down yearly for a Cali vibes festival; this was the best Airbnb we stayed in. You walk in and feel the good energy, B&Jake out there heart and soul in to making you feel at home. The kitchen: it has everything! the Keurig& water dispenser were a key for us here. Every spice you could possibly think of! every amendment you can think of Both bathrooms are completely stoked and great water pressure!!! The bedrooms: the front bedroom bed is stiff and the blankets are amazing but the pillows, are solid. Bring your own pillow if you’re not a firm bed sleeper! Everyone loved the firms bed! The decor was amazing, the house is a whole vibe. They were such great host, I will defiantly be back.

We had a great time on Balboa Island- the place was comfortable and clean, and the host was very easy to communicate with.

Laura’s place is quiet and conveniently located within an hour of away from LA and 30 minutes away from Disneyland and all the good restaurants. The beach is close and very beautiful. She had beach towels and chairs available. The place is clean with all the necessary amenities. We made light breakfast and warmed up leftovers. It was a perfect stay. Really enjoyed the visit with the family of 5.

Heather's place is an absolute score! Great location— walkable to HB pier, restaurants, bars, etc. Large and beautiful— plenty of rooms, beds, amenities; clean, comfortable, and well decorated. Super fun— game room w/ pool table, shuffle board, big buck hunter, workout equipment, TVs, whole-house sound system; large hot tub, fire pits, basketball etc. We 100% will be coming back here (if it's available!). Totally worth every penny. Thanks again Heather!

We had a great stay downtown HB. Kristi was very responsive and friendly. We had a small issue with the heater, and she had a repair man there the very next morning. Location of the house is perfect for walking to restaurants and coffee shops. I would definitely recommend staying at any of Kristis properties.

Beautiful getaway! My pug Charlie loved the dog friendly areas and Rosie’s dog beach just a 5-10 minute walk away. Great location, beautiful home with everything you need. Already can’t wait to go back!

never stayed on the bay side &I ended up loving it. beautiful &modern + huge front patio AND a back patio, perfect for my husky. barely left &already booked another visit in a couple weeks
