Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Cook County

I would have to say that Jenny’s place was the most welcoming Airbnb we have ever stayed in! When we arrived we were greeted with a bottle of wine, a bouquet of flowers for my birthday, and treats for our furry family member. The place was clean, comfortable and had lovely treetop views of Lake Superior. Everything you would need in a kitchen from an espresso maker to a lemon squeezer could be found. In the living room was a fantastic record player where we listened to Nina Simone while we had our breakfast and enjoyed cooking in the evening to Miles Davis. A couple of the best features were the wonderful soaking tub and the dreamy sheets on the cozy king size bed. Both came in handy over the cool rainy days during our stay. Our stay was exactly what we needed to unwind and celebrate my 50th birthday weekend. Thank you!

This is our 2nd timing staying here and just like last time, we really enjoyed our stay! Perfect location for winter activities- close to snowmobiling trails. Great parking for our trailer. We really love that we can bring our dogs as well!

Absolutely beautiful home with a stunning view of the lake. Three unique floors but you feel close to everyone no matter which floor you are on. Larger bunk beds worked great for a group. 20 minute drive to Grand Marais is super easy. Would recommend to groups or large families!

An amazing place to stay! You can sit back and enjoy the scenery and sounds of nature from the deck while being only about 15 minutes from downtown Grand Marais. The interior is well decorated with a variety of plants and was immaculate. Well worth the price!

There are Airbnbs that offer a stay, but the Tofte House provides an exceptional Airbnb experience. From start to finish this was a flawless process. The home offers everything you could possibly need from comfortable beds and a well stocked and labeled kitchen, and the serene lake and fauna provided a wonderful background, but the graciousness of Deidra sharing her enthusiasm of the house and the area is what made this trip comfortable, fun, rejuevinating and memorable. They have thought of everything to make your vacation special: we cant wait for the next trip!

Viewpoint was enchantingly perfect for our family of four for a long weekend. Our children (6 and 2) were fascinated by the records and CDs, and we had dance parties every afternoon. The bedrooms and game room were perfect for them - table and chairs for coloring, board games and Twister, and a guitar for my husband to entertain them with. The outdoor table served as a perfect stage for their musical performances, and we all loved sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the porch. The grown ups loved the beautiful mug collection, proximity to Fika, easy access to Grand Marais, and the view. I have never felt more at peace than we did at the Virwpoint. This house is in Hovland on the North Shore (relatively close to the Canadian border), and the view from the house of Lake Superior is breathtaking. You can just sit there and enjoy it. The home is well-equipped, with a lovely wood-burning fireplace (it made an especially lovely aroma in the house). We also liked the charming river bordering the property, it's literally a small river going through which gives more feelings of wilderness. Easy access to Grand Marais, Lutsen, and Grand Portage, and also to abundant hiking trails, which we really enjoyed.

Our say here was absolutely perfect. The beds were very comfortable and there were multiple specious areas for us all to hang out. We especially loved the outdoor patio area with fire table. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Grand Marais.

Definitely recommend staying here! Keith was very friendly and responsive after booking and leading up to our stay. Right away, we noticed how clean everything was. This really made the space comfortable. Everything is also updated and modern, which was really nice. We stayed here to take a class at the Folk School, and we were so glad we chose to stay here, as it was only a couple of blocks away. Also, it's within walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops. What a beautiful location! The only minor thing we noticed is that the space had a musty smell. It was something you could get used to, and it is likely due to the age of the building. It could have also been because of the time of year (early May). This still wouldn't stop us from staying here again.

We have stayed at the Basecamp Bunglaows a few times now and they are always extremely clean, well stocked, and pleasant to stay in. We love the location, the price, and the walkability to restaurants and shops. We will definitely be coming back again!

Loved our stay at Cedar's Seaside Chalet. Everything was exactly as described. The view of Lake Superior was spectacular. Loved falling asleep with the window cracked listening to the waves. Our son really enjoyed the sleeping loft with the skylight and video game. We were in Lutsen to support a friend running a 50K ultra marathon, so we didn't spend a ton of time in the condo, but when we did it was super relaxing and we crashed hard! Will definitely be back again!

The property was wonderful! Very clean, very modern and super charming loft! The beds were super comfy as well as the pillows which is always a plus for me. The property was within walking distance to all attractions and downtown Grand Marais. We will definitely be staying here again in the future. Rich Heine & Friends

Had a great stay! Excellent location in a very walkable distance within Grand Marais. Easy to walk down to the water to go stargazing at night, take a trip to the local shops, or a drink at Voyageur! Would definitely come back :)

The Lighthouse in Grand Marais was wonderful. Great location and impressive architecture! View of the lake and walking distance to shops, cafes and galleries.

I had such a wonderful time with my wife and kids. This will be something we remember for years to come! The restaurant inside the complex, Moguls, was outstanding! Very happily surprised to have that so accessible for the family.

My family and I stayed up here for a quick weekend trip, myself, my fiancée, our 6 month old and our dog. This Airbnb was the perfect combination of prime location and amenities. Day one before check-in we were able to drive the short distance to Grand Marais and go shop around the town, try out some new food, and walk the dog on the shore of Lake Superior. Check-in was such a breeze through the hosts extremely clear instructions. The condo was really clean and well stocked with all the little things that you forget to pack on a weekend away (and coffee)! The location being between Tofte and Lutsen let us get out to a few different towns to check out great food and drink options. One morning we went to Coho cafe for breakfast and coffee followed by 3 waterfalls all within 15 minutes, it made for a beautiful day. That afternoon we went down to the shore right at the resort and just took in the view. The sauna, hot tub and pool were just the cherry on top! Can’t wait to go back 👍

A very well designed space for a family of four- nice deck and walk down to the rocks by Lake Superior. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed! We’d definitely reserve again!

This was my first visit to the North Shore (WOW!) and Mikhala's space made it perfect! The view of Lake Superior was stunning and I enjoyed having morning coffee on the walkout patio. The space was very clean and the bed super comfortable. I appreciated the well stocked toilet paper, paper towels, soap, towels, blankets, and pillow options. Tofte was a great central hub for all the hiking trails on my bucket list + Grand Marais was an easy/beautiful drive and I highly recommend eating at the Angry Trout - it was best meal I've had in a very long time! I loved it here so much I extended my stay an extra night. Highly recommend, especially if a solo traveler like me.
