Really fantastic little place in a stunning part of Scotland. The hosts were fantastic and very helpful despite our fleeting visit.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

Extremely pleasant week in Kendal and surrounding area using Cathy’s lovely accommodation as our base . Fully equipped , very comfortable , lovely decor and the bonus of private parking blended with some very fine weather all added into a perfect week for our family holiday get together. Highly recommended to anyone wishing to be close to amenities within lovely surroundings…..

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Chris’s place was immaculately clean and well presented as described in the listing. It was perfect for a long weekend and is well located for exploring the western lakes. Chris was always quick to respond to questions and had plenty of helpful tips on the area.

Great stay at Helen’s! Modern home with amazing kitchen space. A lot of natural sunlight and location is very private with friendly and kind neighbour. What a wonderful stay, thank you once again 💕

We had a wonderful stay at Isabel's Cottage. Everything was exactly as shown in the photos and described on Airbnb. Lisa was an incredible, friendly, responsive host, going above and beyond with extra special touches. We had brought everything with us for our furry friend but really didnt need too. Lisa provided everything for all the family members including the fur kind. We slept so deeply in the extremely comfortable beds especially with the surroundings being so peaceful. We will definitely be recommending Isabel's Cottage to anyone, and hope to return when next visiting the area. Thank you Lisa

Had a lovely stay at Chapel Mews - the perfect base for roaming the hills of the north lakes. Very quiet, well furnished and peaceful. Most definitely recommended.

I came here for my brothers 30th with the dogs and I couldn’t recommend it enough ideal central location and right next to a local walk for the dogs would definitely recommend and I will return

Nice place, clean and nice view. Sufficient amenities and have a good and convenient car park. Linda always has prompt response and helpful. Flexible check in and visible instruction on getting WiFi and also got a lot of information of local place to visit. We all have a great time in staying there.

This was a great place to stay for our long weekend. The property was well situated for the Western Lake District within easy walking distance of Cockermouth centre. The Artists House was really clean, comfortable (very comfy beds) and well equipped. Celia is a great host- clear communication, very friendly and easy check in and out. An all-round good experience :)

We did a lot of different activities in the Lake district but the house was the highlight of our trip, we’d have been happy just to spend the whole time in the house. The house has been designed to get the most out of the views and the decor is amazing too, it is really clean and feels brand new. I’d say it is definitely worth paying a bit more to stay here over anywhere else in the local area, and we will be returning at some point in the future, we miss the house already. Also Team Laik and the owners are all fantastic, communicate well and make everything easy, so if you haven’t used Airbnb before I’d go with these, you can use the messaging system on the app and get a response almost straight away should you have any questions.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay on the edge of Cockermouth. The location could not be more perfect to explore all the lakes have to offer, with the convenience of parking / walks from the doorstep and the beauty and calmness of being based just outside of the hustle of Cockermouth. The property exceeded our expectations, being tastefully decorated, in immaculate condition and with loads of extra little details that made the stay comfortable and relaxing. We stayed with my parents and 1 year old and they really catered to our needs with a highchair / cot etc., whilst still being a luxury property with comfy beds, fluffy towels and all the kitchen amenities you could ask for. We had such a wonderful time, we have already enquired again for next year. Our hosts could not have been more responsive, accommodating and helpful in providing local suggestions for restaurants and walks etc. We would highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful, spacious and the birdsong is hypnotic. Huge kitchen/ seating area. The en suite off the master bedroom is stunning. Such a peaceful location but also easy to drive to lakes and surrounding areas. Loving the re-wilding around the deck.

We had a wonderful stay here and made amazing memories. The surroundings were stunning, and we felt right at home. We loved the cottage and the little touches made the stay even better - the brownies were to die for. Rosie was a great host, and we’d love to come back in the near future.

The hiking hut was ideal for my needs, based in a lovely setting, check in and communication was clear and straightforward. It was cosy and warm and the facilities were as described. I'd definitely recommended this place to anyone on their own looking for somewhere to explore the lakes and have a nice little place to relax in.
