Secluded Mountain Retreat

SusanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The location is beautiful and the house has great charm. The views are wonderful and the cottage is warm and cosy with a great wood burning stove. You can only access with a 4 wheel drive vehicle or walk 300 metres from the parking place up a rugged mountain path. This is difficult with luggage and after dark requires a good torch. The living space is lovely. The bedrooms are open planned and you have to walk through one to access the stairs down to the bathroom. The other bedroom is accessed by a steep set of steps from the kitchen. Head room is limited and there are no window curtains. It is what it says a mountain retreat and wonderful for walking and for families. A bit more difficult for older couples. The hosts were very responsive to any queries

Cottage in the Black Mountains - Sleeps 4

AnnRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Shed is one of the best Air B & B accomodation we have stayed in. Very comfortable, clean and attractive. Our host was attentive and ready to help. We loved the beautiful surroundings. Lyny provided local maps, so we enjoyed making up our own walks in the area. The location was superb for the wedding we attended at Lower House Farm. Would stay here again. The village shop, a mile away, was handy for bread, milk etc We enjoyed relaxing in the garden, looking at the wonderful view of the black mountains. Thank you Lyny for a great stay.

The Hay Barn at Jamie's Farm (sleeps 6)

MatthewRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The farm is in a beautiful location, peaceful and quiet but within an easy drive to the Brecon Beacons. The property is perfectly set up to host 6 people, the kitchen and dining area is well appointed and spacious, and the lounge area with piano is great. The property really shines outside, both in its location and gardens. Very comfortable for relaxing and for having barbecues. This is the 4th time I've been, and love the place!

Ty Nant Treehouse with covered hot tub

MatthewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Victoria & Craig have re-written the rulebook when it comes to hosting. Both were very very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and every single detail you can think of was covered. The cabin was extremely well appointed in beautiful, peaceful, and very private surroundings! Everything was immaculate, it was impossible to believe that someone had stayed in it just before we arrived. Although completely left to our own devices the welcome pack, instruction book and decor made you feel like they were there to make sure you were having a good time. An extremely professional, beautiful and well run setup from two lovely people! Can’t wait to come back! Love to the Alpacas aswell!!

"Monnow" Barn

VictoriaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at Jonathan and Chris’ farm in such a beautiful and peaceful location. Jonathan was very responsive to any queries throughout. We were travelling in late at night but Jonathan gave very clear instructions as to how to find the property and we had no problems. It was clear that the barn was newly renovated as it was clean and bright with a lovely kitchen and bathroom. There are some additional furnishings that would make the place more cosy and functional but I’m sure these will come with time. It was lovely to meet some of the animals on the farm - a few rescue owls and their dog Peggy. Would recommend this place to others.

Luxury Barn Conversion in beautiful countryside

JanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Perfect accommodation for a mixture of 12 adults and children for a long weekend in very quiet surroundings ! More than usual amounts of space inside as well as out for rounders, football, hide and seek and a brilliant kitchen for large scale catering ! Many of us also enjoyed piano composition! Although we were outside a lot in between the showers, the weather sadly wasn't the best for al fresco dining, though we did manage brunch outside! The bedroom and bathroom arrangement was just right for us with two younger children in the beds in the master bedroom. One of the few properties we've found where this was the case! We discovered the nearest village of Ewyas Harold had a decent butcher and a village store which is well stocked, useful when nearest supermarkets are 20-30 mins away. There are plenty of leaflets about local attractions at the house, a walking map would be useful maybe? All in all a great stay!
