Beachfront vacation rentals in Christchurch City

We had a wonderful stay, its a beautiful spot, quiet and very peaceful. James is a great host, messages and replies promptly. The cabin is warm and cosy. The dogs are lovely, its a dog friendly area which was great for us as we brought our dog.

I had a long stay here and thoroughly recommend both the accommodation and the hosts. Colleen and Shelley are lovely hosts, very easy to communicate with and respond very quickly to any questions. They made the stay a pleasure. The place is seconds away from the beach and the estuary, with lovely walks to enjoy. It is a tranquil place to come and relax.

Perfect location for beach and walkable restaurants. Everything was as described. Great patio to hang out.

What a great spot! The kids loved being by the beach and playground, and coffee and food was just a short stroll. Ann made up the space perfectly for our family of 5, and there was plenty of bedding and heating. Off street parking was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described—the heated toilet seat was 👌🏽. The host was super responsive and made check-in a breeze. Would definitely stay again!

overall a great stay. the flat was as expected, fully functional and good equipped. access to the beach was nice, especially to observe the early sunrise. it's outside of New Brighton, to shops and bars it would be a 6+km walk (a bit long). there is a bus stop in front of the house which brings you to New Brighton in 10-15 min and into the city (bus interchange) in 40-45 minutes. with a car you probably would be better off. but it was absolutely OK without. the host Robert is a very nice guy. we had some good chats.

A very special stay. House is perched on the cliff side/hillside very intimate with the sea below. Faces north. Very sunny. Interesting house. Decor is great, arty. V clean. V light and bright. Everything we needed. A good way to get fit walking on the hills. We loved it.

Loved the location. Good view of the water. The children loved that there were 3 ice cream shops just around the corner!!! Good eateries.

Enjoyed our stay at Akaroa for one night. Apartment was 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen and dining area are smallish but met our needs, reasonable sized lounge with view of water which was lovely to have . Off street parking which was great. Easy walk to restaurants, cafes and main wharf where boat trips leave from. Nice place to stay in Akaroa.

The place is exactly like the pictures. super cozy. it has a beautiful view. Close to everything. I had a great night. It was a pity that the swimming competition was canceled and the place is no longer being used. Thank you.

Accomodation was clean and roomy, with a great view of the harbour. The front deck is a nice addition and perfect to relax in the sun a people watch. Would stay again.

Such a lovely space. Hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Accomodation was prefect and well worth it, views were private so no one could see in but gave us a lovely vista of the wharf & harbour. Seating was comfortable. Will definitely be back. x

What a fabulous location Cute little hut. Very basic but all you need. Very clean and well looked after by other people that have used it. Bbq and gas cooker with plenty of gas and as explained all the basics there. Highly recommend for a remote stay. Would definitely return

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment. Right and centre of town with views of the water, surprisingly very peaceful as well. The apartment was immaculately tidy and clean, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would be very happy to return to such a spectacular location.

Fantastic stay at Lana’s place. Great location right opposite the beach, but the icing on the cake was all the thoughtful touches and the attention to detail…..All those little things you need… she had thought of them all. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be recommending this cute wee place to all our friends.

An amazing spot to spend some perfect days in Christchurch / South New Bristol. The beach is directly vis-à-vis which makes it special. The outdoor bathtub is a nice Extra Feature!

Perfect location within Akaroa. Was so busy with fantastic things to do such as hiking and boat tours and all the shops that I didn’t get a chance to respond to Adam making sure we got in ok. Everything was as described and easy to use. Laundry in the unit was great! Heating was perfect and the view of the bay was perfect for sunset and sunrise. If you’re not used to it you should know that the town shuts down really early so plan on your meals a little earlier than usual. Pay attention to his instructions as they were perfect as far as checking in and leaving.

Great style and location! Just a few blocks away from the beach, bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and more! Bonus, the walk is perfectly flat and easy! The architecture, decor and paintings in this house made us feel like we in a very special place. We loved the folding door that opened to the patio. This was one of our favorite stays on our month long trip to the south island, especially for the price!

I had a quick stay here and it was great! The beach is incredibly close and it had everything I needed for one night. The only downside is there is no AC, but that does not impact my rating, since it states that in the listing. Highly recommend!

Judith is a most welcoming and gracious host. The property in New Brighton is a very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Close to the beach and all the local amenities, I would not hesitate to recommend to all and look forward to staying again.
