It truly was peaceful and comfortable. Everything was there, even dog bowls and a dog bed. It was a hectic time getting ready for my daughter’s wedding and this place certainly was an oasis to come back to in between all the activities. Yesenia was an amazing host! She replied so promptly and kindly. I can’t say enough about this place!

The house was perfect. Every detail has been paid attention to in this home. Rob and Susan were hospitable and welcomed us as soon as we arrived.

We loved our stay at the Cute House. The decor was so cute, and we enjoyed the record player and paintings. The kitchen had all we needed to make meals there. The backyard was beautiful and we loved the hot tub! 10/10 place.

My stay was great. I loved the location. The lake is very pretty, and the neighborhood is nice for walking. The home was as described—clean, comfortable, and well decorated. Allison and Cam were responsive and friendly, making check-in and communication simple. I especially appreciated that I was able to check in early. It allowed me to get to my stepson's graduation without having to rush. Thanks again for making this accommodation for me. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Afika’s Beacon House is an art treasure on Lake Cammack. The location is perfectly situated between town and country here in the heart of North Carolina Piedmont. While still under some renovation during our stay, the house was warm and comfortable. All the amenities were complete, and what’s more, our host went out of his way to ensure that we felt welcome and were made comfortable the whole time. Be warned that one ought to be cautious of the wetland landscape alongside the lake, especially off-season. Visitors should bring and use proper footwear while hiking on lakeside city property nearby.

What an excellent surprise! It was fun and artsy lodging and it’s location was superb. Easily walkable to downtown and an easy drive to the Plant. Huge bonus was an excellent breakfast in the morning at the café next-door. Highly recommend! We will be back.

I was in Durham on a long research visit and rented a room in Martha’s charming house. Having never shared a home before like many people do in the beginning of their lives and careers, the universe decided to correct this important milestone for me and matched me with Martha, and I am so grateful for this experience: cooking together and learning from each other in Martha’s kitchen that is equipped far beyond the standard tools; cozy movie nights; garden parties with the neighbors - fantastic people, so caring and friendly; playing with Martha’s two adorable cats; exploring the city and hiking in the nature – Martha is a great guide. Martha opened her house for me wholeheartedly and made my stay very comfortable, even accommodating my visiting family. She also lent me her bicycle for easy commuting. The neighborhood is safe and charming, there are grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. Thank you, Martha, for making my stay a memorable experience!

Martha's place is exactly what she describes it as... "a cozy cottage". My family and I felt right at home in the place. Everything was readily accessible and close by, and Martha reached out to make sure that all of our needs were met. We were in town for my daughter's graduation and Martha had both snacks and a congratulations Class of 2025 balloon waiting for us when we arrived. The place was a great "oasis" for us to get away from all the hustle that happens with graduation activities during our down time. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and we had no issues during our stay. While my daughter is now done her studies, my wife and I love the Durham area, and we would definitely love to stay here again when we come back to visit. Thanks, Martha for everything.

Cyndy’s location was so serene. The tree house was exactly as described. Very clean and “homey “. There was a full kitchen with made it easy to cook and clean. The location is amazing. enjoyed waking the sanctuary and absorbing nature. The walking trails were great for a light run and animal watching. If you are looking for a quick escape from the everyday environmental noise and congestion. No TV... Wifi available( you will not need it) ... No neighbors..... BOOK this place! I think I will make this a yearly mini-retreat for my wife and me 💕

Ali’s house far exceeded our expectations! This lovely home is so much more spacious than the pictures convey! It is bright, warm and filled with art and wonderful furnishings…we absolutely loved it! The kitchen is large and filled with everything you’d need to feel like home. Plenary of towels, shampoo and conditioner, iron, hairdryer…it’s all there for you! She has NEST technology, a great TV setup and wifi …all easy to use. The grounds are equally beautiful! Tucked into nature and very private …but she’s right on the property in their own home if you need anything…and she’s very quick to respond. Can’t say enough about Ali’s place and her wonderful hospitality!! I look forward to staying again in the future! Thanks Ali!!

This is our second time staying at Heidi’s place and we really enjoyed the space. The kitchen was well stocked for us to make our meals and everyone slept great. There is so much to entertain the kids with outside, and hanging out with the chickens was a big hit for the kids as well!
