Captain's House | Monte Grosso, Elba

The Casa del Capitano is located on the top of Monte Grosso in the National park of the tuscan archipelago. The location is unique on the island and from here you have a fantastic view of the city of Portoferraio, Piombino, Corsica, Capraia and Gorgona. The house was restored during a project lasting several years, in close collaboration with the National Park and was designed to be self-sufficient and ecological. Here you use purely the energy of the sun, without having to renounce luxury.

A dining table is set by the water, adorned with fresh fruits, bottles of wine, and a bright bouquet. A palm tree stands nearby, while the sea and distant land create a serene backdrop against a clear sky.

great place, recent, with modern furniture, essential but complete with everything. A short walk to shops and the sea. We parked at a distance of 100 meters because the house is on a narrow uphill street. We would be happy to come back. Recommended !

Highly recommended!! Wonderful house with a very well-kept outdoor space, a wonder for moments of relaxation and dinners, spacious and tastefully furnished rooms. Really, everything is taken care in the smallest of details. Andrea the Host is available and attentive to all guest needs. We had a truly 5 star stay!!

We felt very comfortable in the bright apartment with a large window, beautiful veranda and two balconies overlooking the sea. It is quiet. In three minutes walk you will be by the sea. The personal key handover with Paola and partner was very friendly and uncomplicated. Many thanks, hopefully see you soon, Katrin

Elba beach house

Fantastic views of the sea into the bay await you. The terrace is wonderful and sun-protected. Down the stairs and then you are on the beautiful private beach only for the adjacent houses. 150 m further up was a large beach with kiosk and snack bar. The apartment is very well furnished, everything necessary is available. Air conditioning in all rooms ( was not always necessary, a fresh air from the very green environment cooled , even at night , good ) the bathroom with the rain shower was wellness , wonderful. The beds are very good. There were four of us, 2 children 19 and 2 years old and we were two oldies. Cavo is within easy walking distance, with promenade, restaurants and fish and fruit shop, a good bakery and a small supermarket. We were able to park on our own private parking plan. Alessandro ,the owner, is a good and friendly man. We would love to come back.

This is a really magical place. The view, the atmosphere etc. everything very special. I haven’t slept so well in a long while, such a calming and restoring energy. Amazing also for kids to play safely in the castle. We will come back for sure! Thank you for the great stay.
