Have fun with the whole family or group of friends in our quirky house. A 700 meter walk from the house is free parking located. As well as paid parking right in front for €26 a day. The house is a 10 minute walk from the city centre of Alkmaar and 7 minutes to the train station. The train can take you directly to Amsterdam in 35 minutes. A return train ticket costs roughly €20 Alkmaar is an old Dutch city just like Amsterdam but smaller. Enjoy the canals great food and cozy atmosphere

Unique Dutch Miller’s House

Stay in a traditional Dutch Miller’s Cabin beside an authentic 1632 windmill, surrounded by canals and nature in the North Holland countryside. Hand built during the windmill’s restoration, the cabin offers a peaceful and unique stay while still being close to Alkmaar and only 40 minutes from Amsterdam by train. I am a traditional Dutch miller born and raised in Alkmaar, and my American wife, Kelly, and I enjoy sharing this special place with guests from around the world.

Built as a warehouse in 1600 it is now a very spacious suite on the ground floor (85m2) in the middle of the historic center. Very suitable for families. Ale restaurants, bars, shops, cinemas, theater, music venue, concert hall, museums, markets and boat rental within walking distance. Breakfast on request (€ 19.50 per person).
