Vacation rentals with a patio in Carlisle

we had an amazing stay. the hosts were brilliant with directions, local things to do. we were staying for a wedding close by. They offered us a lift to save a taxi fare ( not needed but very much appreciated) pointed us in the direction of the river so my wife could go for a wild swim. the dogs are great and came with us whilst we were outside and super friendly. the accommodation was perfect for our needs and we will definitely return for another peaceful stay in Northumberland. we left super early to go collect the kids after the wedding and we were given bacon rolls in lovely cheese bread bun. so nice and got us through the long drive. 10/10 stay thank you so much for hosting us. Perfect little flat. Extremely well equipped. Everything seemed brand new when I was there. Central location. Spacious kitchen. Car park a few minutes walk away which is free overnight until 8am. Easy communication with owner. Very happy with it and would recommend.

Just had an incredible weekend break at Jenny's gorgeous accommodation. I have seen other reviews saying that the photos and description doesn't do this place justice and I totally agree. The lodge had everything we needed, was perfectly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking!! The location is so picturesque, peaceful and clean and extremely close to Keswick. We took full advantage of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which was a brilliant way to start/finish the day. Also highly recommend the White Horse pub, where I have eaten the best chicken burger ever! Jenny, thank you for the kind and thoughtful treats. We highly recommend your place to anyone!! xxx

Great place! The cottage is wonderful, everything is simple, natural and very nice. It was equipped with everything you need. Great place as a base for hiking, a big city with attractions is very close. Anne is a very warm person, always ready to help. Thank you for a very nice time spent here.

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s place in Penrith. The location is perfect and well-connected, with easy access to the Keswick loop and most of the Lake District. It made exploring the area super convenient. The home itself was even better than the pictures spacious, clean, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. Sarah was a great host, very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a comfortable base to enjoy the Lakes!

We loved our mother/daughter get-away at the Curator’s Flat! The space was so quaint and historic. The squeaky floor boards and quirky ups and downs were charming. We appreciated the chance to wander in the gardens and enjoy the grounds after hours. Kira gave us a private tour of Wordsworth’s home that was a highlight of our visit to the Lake District. The location was superb—peaceful and perfectly located away from the hordes of tourists but close enough to walk to Ambleside and Grasmere when we needed to stretch our legs. The famed Coffin Trail began literally at our doorstep. Exploring adjacent Rydal Hall was also fun. Badger Inn was THE PLACE for evening meals with excellent food and atmosphere. We couldn’t be more pleased and hope to return again. Thanks for the warm hospitality!

We arrived on a cold night to such a welcoming warm house. The house was spacious and very well equipped. The decoration was lovely. Would highly recommend the property.

We had a lovely stay here while visiting relatives close by. The house was clean and tidy, easy to find, well equipped with some great games which was handy for our two young children. Gemma was very helpful too. Would stay again!

What a great place to stay! Easy to find, very simple check in, helped by clear instructions. The home is lovely, really thoughtfully furnished to feel welcoming and comfortable. It has everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked, lots of games and even some toys for the little ones, which my youngest definitely enjoyed! The garden and courtyard are lovely! Brampton is a great little town, a good variety of shops and close to lots of local sights. We explored Hadrian’s Wall and visited Carlisle Castle while there. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

We had a great stay at this property! The house was exactly as described—clean, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful estate. Everything was spotless upon arrival, and it was clear that the host puts a lot of care into the space. Instructions for check-in and house rules were clear and easy to follow, making the whole experience stress-free. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and reliable Airbnb!

The Coach House is a beautiful stay. The grounds and courtyard are also wonderful. There are plenty of walks nearby and the guest book provides many recommendations of activities and walks in the surrounding areas. The Coach House is the perfect stay if you are willing to drive to the surrounding towns and villages. We spent our afternoons walking in the lake district as it is only an hour drive over the boarder. The kitchen is well kitted with everything you need, as well as a lovely bottle of wine upon arrival. Would defiantly come back to stay here again.

Lovely town, beautiful walks on the doorstep, plenty of food options, Mary gave great instructions and recommendations and the apartment was just as it is in the photographs, everything worked and well stocked kitchen. Appreciated the biscuits, milk and tea and coffee after a long drive. Will rebook to visit with my daughter in the future. Thank you Mary.

Where do I begin? This place was amazing. Lovely owners, very clean accommodation, and probably the cosiest place we have had the pleasure of staying in. We wish we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed our time in the Lake District, and this Airbnb makes for a good base for exploring the region. It's within walking distance of Keswick—the best town in the Lake District with a number of great restaurants—but Portinscale is quieter, and having a parking space included is a big plus. The Airbnb space is nicely equipped and very clean. I would recommend this without hesitation.

The property was a home from home. It was absolutely beautiful with an amazing garden and view. The property had everything we needed. The hosts communication was clear and proactive leaving no uncertainty about what to expect. The surrounding area is beautiful and the property itself very peaceful. Would definately stay again.

This is such a lovely place, it felt like home from home, had everything we needed, clean and comfy. Such a beautiful area, lovely walks from the house, and Grasmere is lovely too. We will definitely be back.

Just the perfect stop over after a looong drive back from The Highlands. So peaceful, extremely comfortable bed and squeaky clean apartment. So quiet too! The surroundings were amazing with a beautiful garden overlooking the highest point on the Pennines! Julie and Paul were just the best. They were waiting for us on arrival and gave us the warmest of welcomes (As did the dogs!) They were so kind and helpful. Look forward to coming back sometime to explore more of the beautiful Eden Valley.
