Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Carate Urio

We only stayed for one night, but the location is breathtaking! The home itself has everything you need, and it's pretty cozy. Davide and Kerry were responsive and assistive whenever needed. We hoped to stay more to fully enjoy Como and this beautiful place. Probably for another time!

Lovely little apartment, with a beautiful view of Lake Como. A few nice restaurants nearby, but you do have to be relatively fit as there are hundreds of cobbled steps to and from any part of the town to the BnB! Worth it for the view but something to be mindful of when booking. Annalisa & her son, Ricciardo, were so helpful and quick to respond if we needed anything, and there was free local parking when needed. Thank you!

We spent three nights in the April home - the perfect spot on the lake to enjoy the surroundings (e.g. a hike to Montepiatto with the hilarious view over the lake … or a boat trip to Como or to Lenno or to any place on the lake … or enjoy an Italian breakfast in the Bar Italia in the pittoresk Marina … or have a first class dinner on the lake in the Vapore restaurant … or or or. That is what we did during our three days ) Everything is in walking distance, so: Italian dolce vita at its best. We definitely recommend.

Ich habe mich in dem kleinen, liebevoll eingerichtetem Häuschen sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage, mitten in der Natur, ist besonders zu erwähnen und in dem verwunschenen Garten lässt es sich perfekt entspannen. Barbara hat mich vorab mit allen nötigen Informationen versorgt und war bei Fragen jederzeit erreichbar.

Eros and Daniel were the most incredible hosts. The house was beautiful, spotless, and felt like a true escape. Fresh towels and sheets, no bugs, and the private garden with lake views was absolutely stunning. We were walking distance to amazing restaurants, a market, a local bar, and a gelateria with some of the best gelato we’ve ever had. It was also an easy cab ride to Bellagio to catch the ferry to Tremezzo. Eros and Daniel went above and beyond for us. At one point we couldn’t figure out how to turn the stove off and they arrived within minutes to help. Their kindness and care made this one of the best stays we’ve ever had. We wish we could have stayed longer. This was a perfect experience in every way. 10 out of 10.

This home is in an outstanding location overlooking the lake and Lugano. We were blown away by the view from every window. The location was very peaceful, and the home was extremely well-stocked. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony or the covered deck every day (depending on how hot it was!). The home is located a quick drive to downtown Lugano, and a short drive to the top of Monte Bre (highly recommend!) and to Gandria (also highly recommend). We fell in love with Lugano and the surrounding area thanks in part to this house…we will definitely be back.

Very clean and tidy. Easy to find, great parking spot right in front of the house. Perfect communication with the hosts. And a lovely scent from the jasmin right in front of the door (in May). Highly recommended!

Eine sehr ansprechende, ruhige Unterkunft, perfekt ausgestattet (nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig). Idealer Ort um den Sottoceneri zu entdecken, mit dem Schiff, zu Fuss oder mit dem Auto. Architektonisch sehr liebevoll ausgebaut, reduziert sowie als gesamte Einheit. Alles funktionell und zweckmässig umgesetzt. Gerne wieder für einen nächsten Aufenthalt....

We loved this apartment. The view from the balcony is wonderful - we spent hours watching all the activities and wildlife on and around the lake. The apartment was just as listed, spotless, comfortable, with everything you could need... such a great place to stay - wish we could have stayed longer!

Our stay at Villa Ena was great and I would certainly come back. Claudia was helpful and responsive, and the apartment is beautiful and well maintained. It was a little tricky to find the entrance coming from the train station, but Claudia provided instructions and photos and we found it without too much difficulty.

Nadia's place was beautiful - just as pictured! She was very flexible with our check in time and even volunteered to order and pick up pizza for us after a late arrival! She definitely went above and beyond. She was able to recommend local restaurants and services as well, which was greatly appreciated. In addition, the view is just spectacular! Definitely recommend! We are only sorry we coudn't stay longer.

Fabulous stay in Lake Como in Ben’s place! The apartment is amazing and in a very convenient location, right next to lots of great bars and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and window shutters on the outside meant there was no need for sleep masks. Extra towels when request and plenty of help and advice from Katerina, whenever required.

We had the most incredible stay at Mattia and Daniela’s place—an absolute gem in Lake Como. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect: peaceful, quiet, and the kind of breathtaking views that truly stay with you. Mattia was beyond responsive and generous throughout our entire stay. He and Daniela went above and beyond in every way, making us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of. The home itself was spotless, beautifully inviting, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. It was exactly the peaceful escape we hoped for—if not better—and we’re already dreaming about coming back. Thank you again, Mattia and Daniela, for such an unforgettable experience. Best way to describe this location is STUNNING! The views are breath taking - more beautiful in person than the photos! We loved our stay - hard to beat having morning coffee & evening wine surrounded by such beauty! The night view when the lights appear is as beautiful as the day view! A car was necessary but well worth it. David was a very responsive and helpful host & we would definitely stay again if we have that opportunity!

Superfijne dagen gehad in Palanzo! Rustige omgeving met veel privacy, prachtig uitzicht en goede koffie op nog geen minuut lopen van de accommodatie. Verbeterpunten zouden wat mij betreft de ligstoelen op het terras zijn, deze zijn versleten. Verder zou er iets meer koffie en thee mogen zijn en de kussens zijn aan de dunne kant (persoonlijk). Host Donatella is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam en heeft ons persoonlijk ontvangen en alles netjes toegelicht. Wat ons betreft een aanrader hier een paar dagen te verblijven.

Was immediately drawn to the charm of this place! Loved the location by the waterfall, bridge and boat landing. Loved the walk past the boat landing that had incredible views of the lake, the flavor and history of the town…I walked on the cobblestones all the way to the church. I recommend taking the hosts instructions on taking the bus from the train station to his place in Nesso. It was definitely fun to walk from the train station into Como downtown and eat lunch, but getting the bus from there to his place is very hectic and crazy. The buses fill up fast from there with all the Lakeside people! You will save time by walking back to the train station and getting the bus from there. We happened to be there on a holiday weekend the end of May and the buses were not reliable. And the lines were long. I recommend the boats, they are more reliable. But hint… when we went to Bellagio, they said to get in line a half an hour before your boat takes off..you need more time! At least 45.

Très bel endroit, que ce soit la localisation qui est époustouflante ou l appartement qui a été rénové avec des matériaux de qualité, tout était parfait. Même une place de parking était réservée, ce qui est un vrai atout autour du lac…

Tolle Wohnung, sehr gut ausgestattet. Zwei schöne Balkone. Gerne mal wieder. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft.
